Châteraisé Has New Shine Muscat And Kyoho Grape Desserts Till 29 Sep

With over 30 outlets in Singapore, the well-loved Japanese dessert chain Châteraisé has launched their limited-edition Shine Muscat range this September. This special edition is only available until 29 September 2024.

Taking advantage of the delightful grape season, the newly introduced Yamanashi Shine Muscat and Kyoho grape desserts are crafted with freshly harvested grapes from Japan. To maintain their peak freshness, these grapes are shipped to Singapore within just 48 hours of being picked.

For cake lovers, there are over 10 options to choose from. One popular choice is the Yamanashi Shine Muscat Cake ($5.80), which features soft sponge layers with fresh cream and Kyoho grapes, topped with more cream and Shine Muscat. Another must-try is the Yamanashi Shine Muscat Rare Cheese Cake ($5.50), which offers a similar experience in a cheesecake variation.

The Yamanashi Shine Muscat and Kyoho Grape Double Cream Puff ($6.50) offers a quick and delightful treat, while the refreshing Yamanashi Shine Muscat and Kyoho Grape Parfait ($8.50) is perfect for beating the heat. This dessert includes glass jelly topped with generous portions of Kyoho grapes and Shine Muscat.

Sofitel Singapore City Centre is delighted to launch The Local Table Afternoon Tea in celebration of Singapore's 58th birthday. Indulge in an epicurean afternoon tea experience, inspired by nostalgic flavours that are close to every Singaporean's heart.

Be charmed by 11 delightful treats, including five savoury items and six sweets, all carefully crafted to tantalise the taste buds. Highlights include Foie Gras Butter with Curried Caramelised Candy, featuring creamy foie gras atop a crispy toast, topped with candy wok tossed with curry spices; Plant-based Otah with Spiced Lychee Lime Salsa, which is a delightful twist on the traditional otah, elevated with spiced lychee lime salsa; as well as Musang King Durian Puff, with the treasured Musang King durian variety encased in a cream puff pastry, finished with luscious durian crème chantilly.



Savouries
Highlights include the Chilli Crab Roll, where chunks of blue swimmer crabmeat marinated in sweet, tangy chilli crab sauce are encased in a brioche bun and topped with caviar for a luxurious burst of briny flavour. 

Another treat which takes an innovative twist is the Foie Gras Butter with Curried Caramelised Candy – where creamy foie gras butter on a light toast is topped with caramelised sugar that is infused with curry and spices, resulting in a fragrant bite with layers of fun textures. 

No Singaporean would be a stranger to the Otah, where a plant-based alternative is presented here along with spiced lychee lime salsa, bringing together an unexpectedly delicious flavour and texture combination that elevates the Otah’s umami notes.




Sweets
From the highly valued Musang King to the familiar and aromatic scent of pandan leaves, relish an ensemble of exquisitely crafted elegant sweet treats incorporating everyday Singaporean flavours. Stealing the show is the aesthetically pleasing Musang King Durian Puff – where the treasured durian variety is encased in a cream puff pastry and finished with ‘spikes’ made of luscious durian crème chantilly. 

Another creation putting a spotlight on Singapore’s perennial favourite is the Pandan Chiffon Cake, which comes in the form of a fluffy and moist cake topped with silky coconut namelaka cream glaze and a touch of 24k gold flakes for a fanciful finish. No afternoon tea experience is complete without scones, and the Local Table version has taken the classic pastry for a local spin with Cempedak Scones served with house-made jackfruit jam and clotted cream.

Ah Mah Homemade Cake Introduces New Rocky Choc Flavour

Castella cakes, the latest trend in Singapore's food porn industry has got us all queuing again. I've tried to but always giving up when I'm told that I have to wait for another 2 hours for these yummy delicacies, but thankfully a new branch of Ah Mah Homemade Cake has finally opened in Orchard Road, Dhoby Ghaut!


Incepted in April 2017 and originating from Malaysia, Ah Mah Homemade Cake has already sold 100,000 boxes of its castella cakes. Inspired by the ones from Tamsui, Taiwan, Chef Jim of Ah Mah has adapted the traditional recipe with a local twist.


Together with their new 6th branch opening, Ah Mah Homemade Cake has also presented their new Rocky Choc Flavour. Luscious dark chocolate generously blended into the signature Ah Mah's cake batter, topped with milk chocolate chips, this new flavour has already won my heart over with its chocolatey goodness.

Same like their Original and Cheese flavours, their egg sponge cakes are not very sweet, very soft and fluffy. I can't help myself from taking bite after bite and within a day, I can already finish half a slab!

But, I know I'm eating with lesser guilt for the cakes at Ah Mah are made with a healthier choice, purely with milk, high-quality eggs and flour; no water, preservative nor colouring is added. Just watch the video above...


Also, because of that, the cakes are best enjoyed within 3 days to ensure absolute freshness and quality of the cakes. Even the Ah Mah cakes are baked fresh daily, any unsold cake will be discarded after 12 hours!
Every baking session consists of 9 cakes, but the Rocky Choc Flavour is limited edition as with every batch, there might only be 1 or 2 of it, whilst the rest is the Original and Cheese flavour. Do note that everyone is only allowed 2 cakes per purchase, so anticipate the longer waiting time as this is only so far the only branch with the Rocky Choc flavour! 


The Original is priced at S$8, Cheese at S$11 and the Rocky Choc at S$13. To differentiate the Original from the Cheese cakes, the Original ones have the Ah Mah logo hot stamped on it, so cute right?!






Hungry? I know I am and am definitely gona head down to queue early tomorrow. If you are a fan of chocolates, be sure to give the Rocky Choc a try, I bet you will fall in love with it as much as I do. It will wbe available on 18th September across all outlets Do have them whilst it's hot, that's how I like enjoying the Ah Mah Homemade Cakes.
