Star Wars and Beyond, The Iconic Film Scores of John Williams Coming This March 2016

Hi Huneybees,

Join me - Darth Huney to the Galaxy Far, Far Away this March as the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands gets transformed for a musical voyage through a galaxy of well known film scores of John Williams with electrifying multi-coloured light, laser displays and a pyrotechnic finale

Hailing direct from the UK, Star Wars and Beyond, The Iconic Film Scores of John Williams will open in March 2016 for 3 shows only.

Film scores of John Williams have been accompanying us through the moments of ups and downs as we watch the iconic movies like Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T, Harry Potter, Superman and one of the most epic scores of all time - Star Wars!

John Williams, an American composer, conductor, and pianist with a career spanning over six decades, has composed all these popular and recognizable film scores in cinematic history and these magnificent music masterpieces remain as popular today. Just a note from the pieces, you can already relive that moment when Dinosaurs first hit the screen, when that big shark had its mouth wide open hungry for 'food' or that favourite moment of mine - when Luke Skywalker racing through the Death Star maze as he avoids and attacks those TIE fighters!

The Star Wars and Beyond, The Iconic Film Scores of John Williams is presented by Base Entertainment and staged in association with Raymond Gubbay Ltd to bring each piece of music scores to life by a magnificent light and laser display stunningly programmed to perfectly complement each musical score.

This spectacular lighting display is designed by Durham Marenghi who has recently been appointed as the lighting designer for the Rio 2016 Olympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the concert will be introduced and conducted by the irrepressible showman Anthony Inglis, taking charge of the full 80 piece Singapore Metropolitan Festival Orchestra.

Anthony Inglis, has been described in the UK press as “one of Britain’s most popular conductors” (Manchester Evening News). Upon leaving Marlborough College, he studied music at The Royal College of Music and now leads a busy international conducting career, appearing with some of the greatest orchestras in concert halls and recording studios around the world, including the Royal Albert Hall, where with over 250 conducting performances to his credit, he has been credited as the most frequent visiting artist. Among the orchestras he has conducted are the four main London independent orchestras (LSO, RPO, LPO and Philharmonia), all the British independent and most BBC orchestras, the Melbourne, Sydney, Gothenburg, Singapore symphony orchestras and the Warsaw and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras.  He is currently Music Director of The National Symphony Orchestra in London and is Music Supervisor/Consultant for The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, a show he has been with for 27 years. The Influence Of Athletics Spirit Of DC Justice League Superheroes

Hi Huneybees,

Flash! Batman! Superman! These are my childhood American Superheroes that I used to depend on to fight my fear with the dark during bedtime at night!

Twenty years on, these DC Justice League heroes may be sitting in my display closet as collectable figures but their importance didn't diminish as their present often brings back fond remembrances of my childhood playtime, helping me to better manage my work-life stress in adulthood.

On the sunny morning of 30th August 2015, the force of DC Justice League gathered all DC Comics fans to Sentosa for a 5km fun run.

More than 5000 runners turned up for the event donning the colour of their supported superheroes from the core line-up of the race - Superman (Blue), Batman (Grey), Wonder Woman (Yellow), Green Lantern (Green) or Flash (Red) - injecting additional favor to the funfare!

With an average finisher nett time of 31 mins 10 secs, it was heartening to learn that fans of DC Justice League are leading a healthy lifestyle in the athletics spirit of these Superheroes!

Let's look forward to more activities from DC Justice League on top of this successful event!

See Art Pieces Come Alive At The ALIVE MUSEUM

Hi Huneybees,

I've finally made my way to the Alive Museum after much anticipation. I missed it when I was in Seoul the other time and I was so glad that this 3D Korean imported interactive museum is now available in Singapore!

Alive Museum has taken over the retail space on the third floor between Towers 3 and 4 at Suntec City and it is pretty similar to the Korean version. Being the largest interactive museum in Singapore with 929 sq m (10,000 sq ft) and more than 80 artworks, your camera would definitely not stop clicking. Based on Trompe-l’oeil (trickery in French) these touch-all-you-want art pieces encourages visitors to pose and take pictures with them. It is best to go in a group of 4, so you can help each other with the pictures!

The Angel Wings photo is like a must-do, but something special would be the Singapore only edition where you can only find through the maze. You can find Singapore's iconic Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer, all gathered here.

There are quite a bit of poses, there are times we had to lie on floors and there's a room full of mirrors, ladies might want to come in jeans, pants of wear a pair of safety shorts. Once you discover a photo spot, be sure to check out the signages on the wall next to it, to see what is the best way to pose, and don't forget to stand at the Photo Points to get the best angle!

Thank you Alive Museum for the great day out with my friends! You guys have got to come on down to experience it!

Do come early to avoid the crowd, not only is the queuing long, you might also have difficulty getting people to steer clear of your photos...

I'll leave you here with more photos from Alive Museum and do check out this Burger King promotion that will end on 30 September 2014. Do make good use of it!
Alive Museum
3 Temasek Boulevard #03-372, Suntec City Mall (between Towers 3 & 4), Singapore 038983
Ticket price: Adults $25, Child (aged 3-12) $20, Family Package $60 (2 adults, 1 child, $10 for each additional child)
Opening hours: 10am – 10pm daily (last admission 9pm)
