Pan Pacific Singapore x Nespresso 40th Anniversary: Coffee-Inspired Dining & Stay Experiences

Hi Huneybees,

Earlier this year, I shared about Pan Pacific Singapore's 40th anniversary celebrations, and the hotel has just unveiled another exciting collaboration that's perfect for coffee lovers.

To commemorate four decades of hospitality excellence, Pan Pacific Singapore has partnered with Nespresso for a limited-time collection of dining, cocktail, wellness, and stay experiences running from 6 July to 22 November 2026. Rather than simply adding coffee as another ingredient, each experience explores how different flavours, aromas and textures can be transformed into something unexpectedly elegant.

Whether you're planning a buffet feast, a romantic dinner, cocktails with friends or even a weekend staycation, there's something designed around this anniversary collaboration.

Edge Serves Up a Coffee Dessert Worth Saving Room For

If you've dined at Edge before, you'll know the dessert station is already one of the highlights. For this anniversary collaboration, Executive Pastry Chef Edina Si has introduced an exclusive Salted Coffee Caramel Tart.

Made using Nespresso Professional's Congo Organic blend, the tart combines buttery caramel with subtle roasted coffee notes, balanced by a touch of sea salt. The coffee's naturally toasted cereal and berry flavours add another layer of complexity, creating a dessert that's rich without feeling overly sweet.

The tart is available during both lunch and dinner buffet service, making it an easy excuse to leave a little extra room after the seafood and international spread.

For reservations, please call +65 6826 8240 or email dining.ppsin@panpacific.com.

Hai Tien Lo Gives Coffee a Cantonese Twist

One dish that's gripping my attention has got to be the Coffee-glazed Pork Rib at Hai Tien Lo, priced at S$40 nett.

Instead of overpowering the meat, the Nespresso Congo Organic blend is transformed into a glossy glaze that adds roasted depth and aroma. The sweetness of apple jam, tomato sauce and fragrant Shaoxing wine rounds everything out beautifully, creating a balanced sweet-and-savoury profile that sounds both comforting and refined. I bet this dish will be a hot favourite on the table, for families of all ages.

For reservations, please call +65 6826 8240 or email dining.ppsin@panpacific.com.

PLUME's Coffee Omakase Is Probably the Most Creative Experience

If you're looking for something a little different, PLUME has created what is probably the most immersive offering of the collaboration - a S$40++ Coffee Omakase Experience.

Rather than serving a single coffee cocktail, the experience unfolds across several courses:

 • Peaberry Theory welcomes guests with a cocktail combining coffee, dark rum, cherry brandy and bitters.
 • A playful coffee-infused jello shot pairs roasted coffee notes with limoncello gin and grapefruit zest.
 • A clarified whisky and coffee tasting is elevated further with burning coffee incense infused with cinnamon and nutmeg, creating an aromatic experience that engages both taste and smell.
 • The journey finishes with a house-made mocha biscotti.

I really like this idea as it showcases just how versatile a single coffee blend can be interpreted into so many different varieties by skilled bartenders.

For reservations, please call +65 9459 7165 or email plume.ppsin@panpacific.com.

A Staycation Designed for Coffee Lovers

The collaboration extends beyond dining with an exclusive stay package available for Nespresso Club Members, where guests can enjoy:

 • 10% off the Best Available Rate on selected room categories
 • Daily breakfast for two at Edge
 • Nespresso-infused pralines as a welcome gift
 • Access to selected room upgrades depending on the package booked

The first 40 bookings will also receive an exclusive Nespresso × Caran d'Ache pencil set, a collaboration between the two Swiss brands that gives used coffee grounds a second life. The pencil leads are partially made using recycled coffee grounds, making it a thoughtful keepsake that reflects Nespresso's sustainability efforts.

As someone who enjoys collecting limited-edition collaborations, this is honestly one of those little bonuses that makes the package even more memorable!

Relax with a Special Anniversary Spa Promotion

For anyone planning a slower weekend escape, St. Gregory Spa is also joining the celebrations.

Guests can enjoy a 40-minute express massage for S$100 nett, offering a quick reset after a busy work week or a long day exploring the city. It's a nice addition that complements the staycation experience beyond just food and accommodation.

Earn More with Pan Pacific DISCOVERY

If you visit Pan Pacific Singapore regularly, it may be worth signing up for the Pan Pacific DISCOVERY loyalty programme.

Members can enjoy benefits including:

 • Up to 7% back in DISCOVERY Dollars (D$)
 • Room upgrades (subject to availability)
 • Late check-out
 • Birthday privileges
 • Complimentary breakfast for Titanium members

These perks apply across stays, dining and spa experiences, making the programme particularly useful if you're already planning multiple visits throughout the year.

For more information, visit https://www.panpacific.com/en/panpacific-discovery/sign-up-today.html?r=PPSIN.

I like that this collaboration goes beyond simply creating another coffee-themed menu. Instead, Pan Pacific Singapore has woven coffee into multiple experiences across the hotel - from desserts and Cantonese cuisine to cocktails, wellness and even exclusive collectibles.

It's been fun seeing how each collaboration brings a different perspective while staying true to the 40th anniversary celebration theme. Whether you're a serious coffee enthusiast or simply looking for a unique dining experience in Marina Bay, this limited-time partnership with Nespresso is certainly worth checking out before it ends on 22 November 2026.

Promotion Period: 6 July – 22 November 2026

Therme Singapore: 20 Pools, 18 Water Slides and a Tropical Wellness Escape Coming to Marina South

Hi Huneybees,

Would you spend an entire day at a destination designed around wellness, relaxation and play?

That is exactly what Therme Singapore is setting out to become.

Ground was officially broken this week for Therme Singapore, a massive new integrated wellbeing destination that will open at Marina South in 2030. Spanning more than 720,000 square feet across seven levels, it promises to bring together water attractions, wellness experiences, lush tropical landscapes and family-friendly entertainment under one roof.

As someone who constantly finds myself bouncing between events, deadlines and content creation, the idea of a place where you can spend a day slowing down, recharging and simply feeling good sounds pretty appealing.

(Video Credit: Therme Singapore)

A New Kind of Destination for Singapore

Developed by Therme Group, Therme Singapore will be the company's first destination in Asia and its largest wellness project in the region.

Visitors can expect:

 • More than 20 indoor and outdoor pools and water attractions
 • Over 70 wellness treatment rooms
 • More than 86,000 square feet of dining and social spaces
 • Expansive indoor and outdoor tropical gardens
 • Waterfront views overlooking Marina South

Rather than being just another attraction or water park, Therme Singapore is designed as an all-in-one wellbeing destination where leisure, nature and wellness intersect with one simple goal - create a space that appeals to everyone, from families with young children to working adults looking to unwind and seniors seeking restorative wellness experiences.

Three Distinct Experiences Under One Roof

The destination is organised into three distinctive zones, each catering to a different mood and experience.

Play

Families and thrill-seekers will likely gravitate towards the Play zone. This area will feature children's pools, interactive play spaces and an impressive collection of 18 water slides stretching over 1.8 kilometres in total length.

This is the part of Therme Singapore where energy takes centre stage, encouraging movement, exploration and shared family experiences.

Relax

For those who prefer a slower pace, the Relax zone sounds like the place to be. Visitors can look forward to thermal pools, mineral baths, hydromassage beds, infrared therapy and tranquil water environments designed to help melt away stress.

After a hectic week, this is probably where you'll find me.

Restore

The Restore zone focuses on deeper wellness and recovery.

Expect saunas, steam rooms and dedicated treatment spaces designed to support both physical and mental rejuvenation. It's an approach that feels increasingly relevant today as more people prioritise wellness as part of everyday life rather than an occasional luxury.

A Tropical Oasis in the Heart of the City

Beyond the pools and wellness facilities, nature will play a major role in shaping the visitor experience. The grounds will feature more than 200,000 plants representing over 200 species incorporated throughout the development, including orchids and native Southeast Asian varieties.

The result is intended to feel less like a conventional building and more like an immersive tropical environment woven into Singapore's urban landscape and what's particularly exciting is that the project extends beyond its walls.

A new coastal public park spanning nearly four hectares will connect Therme Singapore with Marina Barrage, creating an additional green spaces and improving public access to the waterfront. For a city that already does urban greenery exceptionally well, this feels like another meaningful addition to Singapore's growing network of recreational spaces!

Technology Meets Wellness

Therme Singapore is also embracing technology to streamline the visitor experience.

Some of the planned features include:

 • Waterproof RFID wristbands for access and cashless payments
 • Robotic locker systems
 • Advanced ozone-based water filtration technology
 • Smart irrigation systems
 • Solar photovoltaic panels
 • Energy-efficient building systems

It's really encouraging to see sustainability and operational efficiency being integrated from the ground up rather than added as an afterthought.

More Than Just a Tourist Attraction

Beyond the visitor experience, Therme Singapore is expected to create around 400 jobs across construction, engineering, hospitality, operations and facilities management.

Interestingly, the destination will also introduce specialised wellness roles such as sauna masters, also known as Aufgussmeisters, a profession that remains relatively uncommon in Singapore today.

To support future workforce development, Therme Singapore has already established partnerships with the Institute of Technical Education and Republic Polytechnic, focusing on internships, innovation projects and industry-relevant skills training.

Looking forward...

Singapore is no stranger to ambitious attractions, but Therme Singapore definitely feels different.

Instead of focusing purely on entertainment, it combines recreation, wellness, nature and social experiences into one destination. It reflects a growing shift in how people think about wellbeing, not just as spa treatments or fitness classes, but as something that can be integrated into everyday life.

Of course, 2030 might feel a long way off, and there are plenty of details yet to be revealed. But judging from the scale of what's planned, Therme Singapore could become one of Marina South's most anticipated new attractions.

The thought of spending a day alternating between water slides, thermal pools, tropical gardens and good food while overlooking the waterfront definitely sounds like a pretty great way to recharge. I'll be keeping an eye on this one as more details emerge over the next few years and stay tuned as I share them here!

Why i Light Singapore 2026 Feels More Human This Year

Hi Huneybees,

Every June, something quietly changes around Marina Bay.

The office crowds begin slowing down after sunset. Strangers stop to interact with glowing installations. Families wander along the waterfront a little later than usual. Couples linger by the bay taking photos while children run excitedly between beams of light.

For a few weeks, Singapore somehow feels softer after dark.

This year, i Light Singapore 2026 returns from 5 to 28 June 2026 with a theme that feels especially fitting for the city right now: Movement. Unlike previous editions where many installations focused mainly on spectacle, this year’s festival feels far more interactive, emotional, and human.

Instead of simply admiring artworks from afar, visitors are invited to touch, move, create, wander through, and even become part of the installations themselves. Rather than just transforming Marina Bay into just a giant outdoor gallery, i Light Singapore 2026 feels like it is turning the city into a shared playground after dark.

WAVE by Masamichi Shimada
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

You Don’t Just Observe The Art — You Activate It

One of the strongest things about this year’s line-up is how many of the installations respond directly to human interaction.

At The Promontory, WAVE by Japanese artist Masamichi Shimada invites visitors to tap silver sticks against the ground, sending ripples of light and sound outward across the installation. The concept sounds simple, but there’s something oddly poetic about it.

A tiny movement creates a visible reaction. A small action changes the atmosphere around you. The installation itself becomes a reminder that even small gestures can leave an impact beyond what we immediately see.

Where the Wildflowers Grow by Kester Wong and Tan Shao Qi
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Nearby at Mist Walk, Singapore artist-designer collective Kester Wong and Tan Shao Qi present Where the Wildflowers Grow, a glowing garden installation crafted from reclaimed industrial materials, metal offcuts, and discarded carpet. The oversized flowers gently sway in response to touch, almost as if the entire installation is quietly breathing with the crowd moving through it.

I already have a feeling this might become one of those unexpectedly calming corners people end up lingering at longer than planned.

Let's Fish the Sun! by Wentao Wang
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Some Installations This Year Feel Purely Whimsical

And then there are the artworks that simply sound fun in the best possible way.

At the Marina Bay Lower Boardwalk, Let’s Fish the Sun! by Chinese artist Wentao Wang lets visitors literally “fish” the sun back into the sky using a giant fishing rod installation. As the glowing orb rises, its colours gradually shift from crimson to amber and eventually into warm white light.

The concept itself already feels wonderfully surreal and I can already imagine adults and children queueing up equally excited just for the chance to rewind sunset for a few seconds.

Cube Graphics by Cyril Lancelin
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Over at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, French artist Cyril Lancelin’s Cube Graphics transforms geometric inflatable forms into a giant immersive structure visitors can physically walk through.

From the outside, the installation appears to vibrate with movement through optical illusion patterns. Step inside, however, and the experience completely changes into colourful gradients, shifting perspectives, and distorted corridors. It seems like the kind of installation that will become extremely photogenic this year while still remaining genuinely immersive beyond just being “Instagram-worthy.”

Arch Flower by Cyril Lancelin
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Meanwhile over at Raffles Place Park, French artist Cyril Lancelin also brings Arch Flower to life — a glowing sculptural passageway inspired by floral forms and movement.

Unlike traditional rigid architectural structures, the installation twists upward in soft tubular curves, creating arches that feel almost organic as visitors wander through them. Shades of pink and green gradually shift across the structure, transforming the space into something that feels both futuristic and strangely dreamlike at the same time.

I can already imagine this becoming one of the festival’s biggest photo spots, especially at night when the glowing gradients fully illuminate the arches and visitors move through it, pause inside it, and experience the changing perspectives around them.

Infinite Graffiti by Graffiti+
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

There’s Also A Strong Sense Of Collective Play

One installation I think many families and friend groups are going to gravitate toward is Infinite Graffiti by Graffiti+ from Canada. Located at the entrance of Marina Bay Link Mall, the installation transforms graffiti into a giant collaborative digital artwork using sensor-activated spray cans and glowing projections.

Instead of creating art individually, visitors build the artwork together over time. Totally in love with that idea because it feels very aligned with the overall spirit of this year’s festival — movement not just as physical motion, but as shared participation. Even strangers temporarily become collaborators.

Silent Moments by BN label
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Meanwhile, Silent Moments by Slovak collective BN label might end up becoming one of the festival’s most quietly memorable installations.

Large illuminated silhouettes depicting everyday gestures — cycling, strolling, resting, napping — will populate the waterfront, encouraging visitors to slow down and interact with them. In a city that constantly feels like it’s moving at full speed, there’s something oddly comforting about an artwork dedicated to simply… pausing.

Market Cycles by Ng Choon Wee and Tan Mei Yee
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Some Of Works Feel Deeply Singaporean

Beyond the larger spectacle pieces, several installations this year also explore overlooked parts of daily Singapore life in thoughtful ways.

One of the most fascinating examples is Market Cycles by Singapore designers Tan Mei Yee and Ng Choon Wee under the new i Light Future mentorship programme presented by DesignSingapore Council.

Using ordinary wet market plastic crates, the artists transform functional everyday objects into a glowing architectural installation, taking something most Singaporeans see almost daily — and probably never think twice about — and suddenly reframes it as something beautiful.

Steps by Nawal Bte Azhar
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

Another local work, Steps by Nawal Bte Azhar, reimagines staircases as glowing impossible structures that shift depending on perspective. The installation symbolises Singapore’s evolving journey and how progress can look entirely different depending on where you stand.

GastroBeats
(Image Credit: i Light Singapore 2026)

GastroBeats Returns Too

Of course, no Marina Bay festival feels complete without food and late-night wandering.

Returning once again as the festival village of i Light Singapore, GastroBeats will take over Bayfront Event Space with up to 40 food vendors, live music performances, arcade games, pickleball activities, and a new Elevated Dining Zone overlooking the skyline.

Especially during the June school holidays, the entire festival already feels less like a traditional arts event and more like a full evening experience where people can freely drift between installations, food, performances, conversations, and waterfront walks.

This year's i Light Singapore 2026  is standing out to me with that many installations seeming less focused on passive viewing and more interested in human participation. The festival only truly comes alive when people interact with it.

You touch the flowers.
You create the ripples.
You fish the sun.
You walk through the geometry.
You become part of the glowing silhouettes.

And perhaps that’s why this year’s edition already feels a little more emotional than previous years. In a city that often moves too quickly, that feels like something worth slowing down for.

From Merlion Fossils to Futuristic Sausages: Inside Singapore Design Week 2025

Hi Huneybees,

Conceptualised by creative agency Kinetic Singapore, the festival campaign this year articulates how intentional design has been the fundamental building block in shaping Singapore's spaces, culture, and identity over 60 years.

Singapore Design Week (SDW) is back this September, and this year’s edition is extra special. From 11 to 21 September 2025, the city will transform into a giant playground of creativity, celebrating 60 years of Singapore’s nation-building journey with the theme “Nation by Design”.

Organised by the DesignSingapore Council (Dsg), the festival pays tribute to Singapore’s design spirit – from our UNESCO Creative City of Design status, to the way thoughtful design has shaped everything from our skylines to the food we eat.

Nation by Design: Spotlight Exhibitions

At the heart of Bras Basah.Bugis Design District, two exciting new commissions will take you on an imaginative dive into Singapore’s design DNA.

 • The Unnatural History Museum of Singapore at the National Design Centre is led by Pann Lim (Kinetic Singapore). Expect the unexpected: a six-metre Merlion “fossil,” hybrid flora and robotic fauna like cyborg cockroaches, plus bold reimaginings of how Singapore thrives despite limited natural resources.

 • The Sausage of the Future: Singapore Edition at NAFA’s Fashion Gallery brings Dutch designer Carolien Niebling’s quirky food design project to Asia for the first time. With sustainability in mind, it presents sausages inspired by our local culinary culture – yes, complete with models, ingredient prints, and even tasting sessions!

Four Design Districts to Explore

This year, SDW spans four precincts, each with its own unique take on the festival theme:

Singapore Science Park (new!) – A “living lab” of experiments and inventions under the theme REINVENTION, with installations from global innovators like DENSO, KONE, and Merck, alongside homegrown creatives.

A Celebration for SG60

As Executive Director of Dsg, Dawn Lim, beautifully sums it up:

“As Singapore turns 60, this year’s Singapore Design Week invites us to reflect on how far we’ve come — not by chance, but through deliberate and thoughtful design.”

Whether you’re here for futuristic experiments, playful design moments, or thought-provoking exhibitions, Singapore Design Week 2025 is a city-wide festival that shows how design has shaped our lives, and how it will continue to inspire Singapore’s future.

📅 Mark your calendars: 11 – 21 September 2025.
