Chilling Out At Sound Port 2019

Hi Huneybees,

Sometimes it just gets boring for hubby and I with the usual paktor (dating) things to do - movies, shopping, dinner then go home and it's the same routine again for the next date. So, yesterday when we headed out to Clarke Quay for the inaugural Sound Port 2019, it was just refreshing for us.

We got to reminisce about the clubbing days, enjoy a little bit of booze and food whilst putting on our dancing shoes, enjoying the DJ spins.

3 of the Clarke Quay bars were there at the Fountain Square with their booth serving up the alcohol/drinks and bites. We had the famous Paella Vallancia and Cheesy Hotdog paired with Sangria from Octapas; Indian Chicken Briyani and Chicken Tikka From Gabbar and not forgetting the die die must try Lychee Pale Ale from Live at the Crossroads.

The Lychee Pale Ale makes a sweet note end to the night as we mingled and danced to the mix of DJ Duumu. It's been awhile since I truly let my hair down and spend some wonderful time with hubby, I think this makes a special date night and if you are with friends, all the merrier!

Sound Port Clarke Quay will continue for the weekend till 16 November 2019, admission is free, so gather all your friends and loved ones to come down and party at Clarke Quay's Fountain Square!

See You At Sound Port Clarke Quay Next Weekend!

Time to let your hair down again and take a break from work this weekend with Sound Port Clarke Quay. From 14th to 16th of November, Clarke Quay will be celebrating music with food and visuals that are Insta-worthy.

Not to be missed is the limited edition festival Lychee Pale Ale ($10 per cup), from Live at the Crossroads,  This small-batch lychee ale is only available for a short period of time, be sure to try this unique beer at neon-lit pop-up stalls around the fountain square. 

Other liquid libations such as Sangrias, BIRA beer, house pour spirits, soft drinks and water will also be easily accessible to party-goers without having to leave the party zone (from $4 to $10). 

Modern Indian cuisine from Gabbar (chicken tikka, paneer tikka, chicken biryani), the famous Octapas Paella Vallancia, Asian fusion pizzas from Live at the Crossroads is also some of the featured specialty food items on the menu at Sound Port. 

Good food and drinks must be paired with entertainment and to bring the partying to its peak, there will be Insta-worthy Visuals and DJs spinning to your favorite dance music.

From hanging neon-lit geometry, an infinity optical-illusion mirror hypercube, holographic photo walls, and illuminated multi-layer visuals, you can truly immerse in the visually spectacular party environment and share that gorgeous wefie on your social media platforms!

Make Your Choice : Black Or White ?

The tiger has once again been uncaged unexpectedly, and this time round, it's either Black Or White!
Please do not be alarmed as I am referring to Singapore's first locally brewed beer - Tiger Beer! *ROAR*

Unveiled to an excited crowd in a wild street party at Holland Village recently, Tiger Beer gave us two new refreshing flavors - Tiger Black and Tiger White - to its list of world class lager selection.

While the Tiger Black may look like a stout in appearance, it is actually less bitter and dry, thanks to the black rice - a rare commodity once served only to the royalty - used to brew this new creation.
Tiger White, on the other hand, looks like just another pale-lager except that the cloudy wheat beer provides a light crisp refreshing experience with a hint taste of coriander, cloves and citrus with an all-round refreshing finish, reminds me of drinking a cider with a lot more complexity or depth.

Personally, I prefer the Tiger Black as the taste started off with a dark toffee taste on my taste bud that eventually led to a dry alcoholic finish, just like Tiger Beer quoted ‘Be Bold’. It was evident to see most people shared my humble opinion as the Tiger Black often disappeared in seconds (no kidding...) the moment 2 buckets of both choices were delivered to my table.

Chill Out at Club Lava on Wednesday Nights!

Party goers like me have a new place to hang out! Woohoo!!!! 

Located in the heart of Chijmes, the good people of Club Lava have decided to give you a new hangout bar to enjoy a conversation over beers or to let loose and hit the dentist chair on your weekends! 

An array of beers like Tiger, Heineken, Erdinger, Guiness and Strongbow compliment the ladies as they sip on the Club’s signature cocktail, a Margarita Madness which is sure to leave a zesty taste that will linger in your mouth.

On Wednesday Nights, from 9pm to 11.30pm, simply pay the entrance fee and free flow of drinks (Girls- $20 | Guys - $28). PARTAY ALL THE WAY!!!

On Wednesday, I was invited to Club Lava and I had tons of fun with my friends! We were given the VIP treatment and allow me to introduce some of the must-try at Club Lava.

Hehe! You can even get to eat some local delights like Satay in Club Lava. The Seafood Platter is a must have too!

Club Lava also serves a full menu ranging from starters like smoked salmon bruschettas to main courses with pizzas and pastas until 2am daily!

And when you are at the bar, don't forget to order yourself a Flamin' Lava!

Both me and Malcolm had a Flammin' Lava each. My only advise is drink fast! But then again, the alcohol kicks in super fast after that. Hehehehe...

Club Lava's resident band - The Seventh Element are super band, picked from the best of the best!

Live music from Club Lava’s resident band – The Seventh Element will jazz to the beat of rock hits of yesteryears and modern pop tracks.  The lead singer, Syltra Lee has performed alongside heavy weights such as Anita Sarawak and also participated in Singapore Idol 3!
