Naomi Campbell & Devyn Abdullah @ Digital Fashion Week Opening Night

Hi Huneybees,

I have been having a little jetlagged moment after my trip to New Zealand. Everyone is glad that I have a healthy lifestyle  sleeping and waking early everyday, but guess I've neglected my blog alittle.

Well, I'm fully recharged and back with a "BAM" for the new month! First post for November involves a internationally well-known super model - Naomi Campbell!

She was recently in town for Digtal Fashion Week 2013 opening show. She walked for ZENCHI alongside other models, showcasing ZENCHI's Spring/Summer 2014 collection. I was super excited to be able to catch the queen of runway do her stuff, but totally don't know what got over me, even my camera skills were jetlagged. So disappointed in my photo taking that night.... :(

Ok, enough digressing. Back to ZENCHI's show. The ready to wear collection previewed a series of women wear that can bring you to different occasions of the day, be it for a power meeting or a special evening, there is a signature draped dress for you.

ZENCHI has been adorned by several local celebrities like Zoe Tay, Sora Ma, Sharon Au, Kit Chan, etc and was recently seen at the STYLE ASIA COLLECTION show as well as Star Award 2013.

My favourite piece has got to be this yellow dress worn by Naomi Campbell. No, I'm not being bias here, but the bright yellow screams sunshine Spring to me! With a simple black belt, the dress is not only flattering to Naomi's figure, she simply looked so effortlessly beautiful in it!

That night, not only did I get to see Naomi, I also got to catch up with some friends and there were some celeb spotting moment going on....

The winner of The Face - Devyn Abdullah made an appearance amongst the VIP. I super loved her in the show and was so happy to see her there that night. She's simply so tall, I'm like a Hobbit next to her, and OMG! She was so nice to bend down and get a pic with me. WOOHOO!!!

 A level just above the runway was a showroom of local brands to preview their latest collections. I fell in love with the accessories of Carrie K. They are so whimsical and unique, every girl must have it!

I also want to do a shout out to Mandy Wu. The lovely designer dressed Michelle and I in her pretty necklaces for the night. They are bolts with studs and knowing me, I simply went mad when I saw them! Mad love for her works....

Digital Fashion Week

[Get The Look] An Inspired British-Singapore Look For Digital Fashion Week 2013

Hi Huneybees,

When I was invited by Digital Fashion Week to participate in a challenge to create my very own British-Singapore-inspired look, I knew I had to do something in relation to the London Eye and our very own Singapore Flyer.

Both tourist attractions were captivating by night and the lighted up wheels against the sunset lights were always etched in my mind. Both being so magnificent and holding much significance to Britain and Singapore, I decided to do a look based on the 2 pictures shown above.

I chose to incorporate The Body Shop Colour Crush eyeshadow - "Blue Over You" to resemble the dusky blue sky and with hints of pink and soft orange to resemble the sunset sky. Of course, not forgetting silver accents to symbolise the blinking lights around both London Eye and Singapore Flyer when the sky turns dark!

And not to overpower the look, I chose to have the popular gradient lips to complement the eyeshadow, reflecting the surreal quietness when both attractions turn dark. They stand to light up the night, looking oh-so-lonely against the river bank...

Here's how to achieve the look.

Together with the make-up look, I have also chose to dress myself up in British labels -  a multi-coloured sequined dress by Topshop to go with silver floral kitten heels by Irregular Choice. The palette chosen here is none other than to reflect the night and the shimmering wheels in the night.

[What's New] A Royal Treat For My Huneybees With The Body Shop's Honeymania Collection

Rejoice and say cheers to The Body Shop! They have created a collection - Honeymania for Autumn and yes! It's our favourite HONEY!!!! Now we can bath in it, soak in it and even smell like it!!!

This is no ordinary honey used in the collection, it's Community Free Trade Honey that is wild-harvested from our cousin-bees in the remote Sheka rainforest in Ethiopa. The Sheka honey has very distinctive taste and aroma because of fragrant rainforest flowers that our cousins in the wild collect from.

The Sheka Honey is of such high quality that it's good enough to eat and is in fact used as high end table honey. It is not the usual sweet-to-the-max honey, but a softly sweetened floral honey that's warm enough to brighten up the gloomy Autumns.

I am not really a soap bar fan, but when it is designed like a honeycomb with a bee imprinted, I cannot resist giving it a try. It lathers very well and is actually very moisturizing!

Honeymania Body Scrub $30.90

I used Body Scrub weekly and nothing beats the ones from The Body Shop. For the Honeymania Body Scrub, it contains moisturising Community Fair Trade Shea from Ghana, and beeswax from Cameroon. So other than simply scrubbing your body off the dirt, your skin is also left feeling velvety soft.

Honeymania Body Butter $30.90

Being the hero product, the rich Body Butter promises of 24 hours of hydration. Treat yourself to a relaxing massage in it, to leave skin lightly scented and feeling sensationally soft and smooth all over. Each pot contains honey made from the nectar of thousands of flowers!

Honeymania Eau de Toilette $22.90

The Eau de Toilette seemed a little more floral compared to the other products in the collection. It starts of very strong but throughout the day it slowly fades away, but with this easy to carry 30ml bottle, you can always spritz a little honey everywhere you go.

And just when you thought that's enough sweetness, you have The Body Shop's trusty lip balm. This is the closest you might actually get to taste the Sheka Honey and boy, would your lips taste so fine when you lock lips with your other half!
