JJ Lin To Make Special Appearance At Samsung Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2016

New season calls for more updates in the wardrobe and the annual Orchard Road affair - Samsung Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2016 [FSO 2016] will definitely be supplying lots of inspirations and shopping promotions during this 6-week extravaganza from 25 March – 8 May 2016.

First up, on 26 March, is the curtain raiser, featuring 130 models, the biggest outdoor fashion show will be curated by Singapore’s fashion doyen Daniel Boey.  Like the previous FSO editions, the stretch between Scotts Road and Bideford Road will be closed to vehicular traffic and transformed into Singapore’s longest fashion runway. This year's edition will wow audiences with a stellar of stars, an entourage of more than a

dozen personalities, influencers and artistes from Singapore and around the region to join us on the Orchard Fashion Runway.

Adding to the style factor are also 8 labels to look out for to cater for not only the men and ladies, but also for the young ones - FOX Kids & Baby; MASH-UP; Raffles Privato; RÊVASSEUR; Sean & Sheila; PHANTACi; Thomas Wee; and UNIQLO Lifewear. 

From which, PHANTACi, a label by Asian pop icon Jay Chou, makes its debut at the Orchard

Fashion Runway while Raffles Privato, Thomas Wee and UNIQLO Lifewear will be participating in this biggest outdoor fashion show for the first time.

And be sure to stay on the show as for the first time, shoppers will also be invited to party the night away after the runway show with ZOUK Singapore’s very own resident deejay, DJ Hong, in this outdoor after-party on Orchard Road! Woohoo!

Of course, surprises do not stop there! 

In conjunction with FSO 2016, presenter Samsung will be launching its latest Samsung Galaxy S7 4G+ and S7 edge 4G+ and they will even be capturing the show with their latest Samsung Gear 360 for that VR experience!

This year’s edition promises to wow visitors to Orchard Road with much to do, see and shop with a string of lifestyle activities and other than the fashion runway, there will also be fashion installations and exclusive MasterCard® shopping promotions planned for the annual festival, as Orchard Road’s famous shopping belt celebrates the Spring/Summer fashion season with local and international brands.

Knit in the City [15 Apr – 8 May] at Wisma Atria, Atrium at Basement 1

Check out craftist Adeline Loo’s quirky vision of a fantasy knitscape, featuring a fully knitted

giant backdrop, headpiece and train complete with giant needles. Visitors can also learn how to knit like a pro during the live knitting demonstrations held over three weekends.

Together with this celebratory occasion, UN Women Singapore and Eunice Olsen (Social Entrepreneur, former Miss Universe and host of WomenTalkTV.Asia) has teamed up with SK-II to present the first ever EMPOWER ME Series to celebrate ordinary woman who lead extraordinary lives.

This Christmas, you can go for the gifts that give back, as an effort to raise more public awareness of young-at-risk women, SK-II donates $10,000 to UN Women Singapore, igniting the 'Give It Forward' movement.

I Met My Idol - Bryanboy, At The Star Studded Opening Of Charles & Keith Store (Ngee Ann City)

Totally crossed another item off my birthday wishlist tonight when I finally met my idol blogger - Bryanboy! Not only did I get to snap a couple of pictures with him, he even said he liked my dress! Woohoo!!!

You ask what event was that? It was the opening of the new Charles & Keith store at Ngee Ann City. Not only was Bryanboy there, the highlight of the night has got to be the appearance of Hyoyeon, Seohyun and Yuri from the Korean mega girl group Girls’ Generation and Korean American actor Daniel Henney.

But first, let me show you around the store. The Ngee Ann City boutique is the Singapore label’s 389th store to date and a nod to the popularity of Charles & Keith’s on-trend shoes and accessories. The modern interior of the 170sqm retail space is designed to be a visual feast with themed islands displaying the latest trends and designs and a LED video wall highlighting the key looks of each season.

Charles & Keith has changed their style and I must say there are a few new items in this season's collection that's definitely a must have for the fashionista-s in you!

Of course, we also had our fair share of local celebrities. First up, Our MediaCorp Ah Jie - Zoe Tay. Looking all dashing with a grey tube dress, followed by Fann Wong and local model, Sheila Sim.

And then, comes the highly anticipated ladies of SNSD - Hyoyeon, Seohyun and Yuri. They were highly protected at a corner with Daniel Henney, so here comes the paparazzi moments...

After a brief introduction, we were ushered upstairs to the main atrium area for the fashion show, where we saw more celebrities and local designers...
