Be At The Edge Of Your Seat With Cosentino: Anything Is Possible

Fans of the magic realm, be fascinated and captivated as BASE Entertainment Asia brings in the magnificent "Cosentino: Anything is Possible" show. We caught the mesmerizing International Magician of the Year - Paul Cosentino, on his opening and had a little chat with him before catching his show later in the evening.

He had a Johnny Depp, Captain Jack Sparrow vibe as he walked towards me, dark, mysterious but it was a surprise to find him all chatty and humourous throughout the conversation. I delved into the magical scene and came out charmed and excited to catch his show. Here's the lowdown...

Yes, do not blink your eyes, coz every moment, something is happening!

The multi-award winning performer, Cosentino is definitely more than just your usual street magician. With an increasing list of achievements (currently holding a Merlin from the International Magicians’ Society, the Levante Award and three Australian Award Winning Magician), his show is not to be missed.

I've seen his performance before at an RTL CBS event, but for this show, we can see Cosentino's evolving and perfecting his act with more death defying acts. I was holding my breath and held my mouth at the 'WOW' position through the show. No wonder he is hailed as the 21st century, Harry Houdini.

I loved that there was audience interactivity throughout his show, he was like a Harry Potter and Michael Jackson, integrating dance with his magic performances; everything was so well thought and planned, not one act was a seen before. 

And I do agree with him, my favourite part has got to be the time travelling bit, it was so intricately done to transition between the first half and second of his half show, no matter how much magic trick busting shows or books you have read, you will definitely have a hard time trying to break "the spell". 


There's so much I don't want to spoil it for you, you have got to see it! With just a few more shows left, be sure to catch it before it ends. A big shout out to BASE Entertainment Asia for this magical trip.

I Want To Catch Johnny Depp In The Lone Ranger!

Yipee! Jerry Bruckheimer and his team as well as Disney is back with another thrilling adventure film - The Lone Ranger!

Starring none other than JOHNNY DEPP, not a “savvy-ing” pirate this time but a Native American spiritual warrior, Tonto, who recounts the untold tales that transformed a man of the law into a legend of justice, Joh Reid aka LONE RANGER, enacted by ARMIE HAMMER.

Johnny Depp is my forever man of my dreams. I would watch any movie that stars him without fail and I can't wait for Lone Ranger. He has this dark sense of humour and all those that have seen him on Pirates would know what I mean. He seems to sell any character that he is playing and this time with a minimum English speaking Indian, I bet there's gona be some "language jokes" from him too. I am super excited and do hope to be able to catch him on the big movie screen again...

The Lone Ranger also stars Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson and Helena Bonham Carter, and is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski.

[Get The Look] Lily Cole x The Body Shop

Lily Cole, English model / actress / activist, who is remembered for her role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is now the first ever global brand advocate of "The Body Shop". She's refreshingly honest, human, and upfront about how she thinks the world could be a better place.

She's been busy promoting The Body Shop’s Beauty With Heart campaign that launched on May 15th with the tag line “Look good, feel good and do good” (the movement aims to inspire individuals and expand the boundaries of beauty). And today, I'm introducing the Cruelty Free Make-Up Collection which adheres to the brand’s firm policy against animal testing. It's also front by Lily Cole and I'm loving the pink spotted ladybug packaging already...

The packacing is beautiful, colours are sweet like Lily and there are several items that I already fell in love with when I received them...

Pearl Radiance Primer - The slight shimmer pearls in the tube, combined with the primer gives a really soft and glowy finish. Makeup stays much longer after using the primer.

Shimmer Cubes - A palette of four iridescent eyeshadows to mix and to match. They blend effortlessly and you can even pat on the intensity. Simply love the playful colours ( Think Pink, Live Lilac, Go Violet, Tint It Pink).

Liquid Eyeliner - complementing the Shimmer Cubes perfectly is this liquid eyeliner in violet, which gives a pretty, slightly metallic flash of colour to the eyes.

Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 3D Movie Gala Premiere

Hi Huneybees,

Last night, I attended the Walt Disney, "Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" 3D movie Gala Premiere and it also launched the officially Grand Opening of Shaw Theatres Lido at Shaw Lido Imax. A special thanks to Nuffnang for the tickets.

It's the first time I went to the cinema after it's renovation and I must say, it's so much fresher, more welcoming and definitely an improvement from the last I saw it.

There was an event before, but I was delayed... :(

Screens all over the cinema were filled with Pirates of Caribbean's movie posters.

 There were a few media companies that night, giving out the gala premiere tickets and Canon was there to capture the special moment for everyone. Even though I was late, I still managed to grab a picture with Captain Jack Sparrow!

This time round, they have left Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom out, but they compensated with lots of eye candy aside Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz. For the guys, it's definitely the mermaids and for ladies, there's some cute Britsh sailors which get 5 secs of fame or Sam Claflin who plays "Philip" across the lead mermaid.

One couple that gets the most exposure would be "Philip and Syrena". A courageous missionary who fell in love with a not so fierce mermaid.

And with such a magnificent set like this, one can guarantee the movie is a must-watch!

This is allegedly the Los Angeles set of the mermaid lagoon at Universal Studios  (via).

 I give the movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Go check out the movie in 3D at the new IMAX theatre at Shaw Lido. :)
