Hi Huneybees,

If you’ve been craving a little escape into the world of anime, music, and cosplay… this is your sign.

Anime Garden 2026 is making its return this March, and for one weekend only, the iconic Supertree Grove is about to transform into a vibrant playground for anime lovers, cosplay enthusiasts, and anyone who just wants to soak in that electric festival atmosphere. Best part is that t’s completely free!

From Daytime Vibes to Night Concert Energy

The experience builds as the day goes on... so you might want to plan for a full day of fun!

Starting in the late afternoon, the Day Stage will feature a mix of regional and local acts like SAKURA DOLL, SEIREI SHIMEI JOSHI (SSJ), VII SEPTEM, Shun Nakanishi and Sugar Note. It’s the kind of line-up that eases you in before the real magic begins.

As evening falls, the entire Supertree Grove shifts into concert mode. Expect open-air anisong performances under the glowing Supertrees, with names like Eir Aoi, KIHOW from MYTH & ROID, yanaginagi, and ZAQ taking the stage, definitely the kind of lineup that hits different live!

Cosplayers, Meet-and-Greets & Main Character Energy

Anime Garden isn’t just about watching, it’s about showing up...

This year, popular cosplayers like Munoko沐子 and Thames Malerose will be making appearances, hosting meet-and-greets, and even judging the Cosplay Singles Competition! So whether you’re dressing up or just there to admire the creativity, expect plenty of anime coming to live moments!

A Creative Playground Beyond the Stage

Between performances, there’s still so much to explore.

The Creators Hub will spotlight local artists and crafters which is perfect if you love discovering unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else. Meanwhile, the Cosplay Hub gives fans a space to connect, interact, and just fully immerse in the community. There’s even a dedicated fan gathering for Umamusume: Pretty Derby, which means niche fandoms are definitely getting their moment too!

Come hungry... and maybe a little competitive too!

You’ll find classic Japanese matsuri-style games like shateki (target shooting) and wanage (ring toss), alongside food trucks serving up festival bites and refreshments throughout the day. You're definitely in for an amazing Japan-esque weekend!

Anime Garden 2026 isn’t just for hardcore fans.

It’s for anyone who wants to experience something a little different with a mix of music, creativity, and community all in one space. Whether you’re going for the concerts, the cosplay, or just a fun weekend vibe, it’s shaping up to be one of those events you’ll be glad you didn’t miss.

[Event Recap] AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore 2025 – A Weekend of Art, Creativity & Cosplay Magic!

| |
0 comments
Hi Huneybees,

I’m back from AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore 2025 (#AFACSFSG25), and what a creative weekend it was! Since it’s a creator-focused convention, I decided to dive deep into the Artist Alley to explore the incredible artworks on display and sit in for a few Creators Lab seminars to spark some inspiration, especially since I’ve been having a little creative block lately.

Over 300 Artists, Creators & Crafters in One Space

This year’s event brought together over 300 talented artists, illustrators, and crafters, and I had such an amazing time browsing, shopping, and chatting with them. One trend that really stood out this year? Plushie keychains and stickers! Who knew these adorable little creations could actually bring in some serious income?

While every creator had their own unique style, one fandom clearly stole the spotlight — Love and Deepspace! The dreamy boys from the game were everywhere, popping up in all kinds of artistic interpretations. It’s refreshing to see a shift in the anime art scene where, instead of the usual big-boob anime girls, we’re finally getting some eye candy for the girls too. (And yes... I may or may not have secretly stocked up on some Sylus stickers. Shhh!)

Spotlight on Tamimoon’s Exhibition

Of course, I couldn’t miss tamimoon’s booth. I absolutely love her art style! It’s got that manhwa-meets-fashion-girlie vibe, both soft and edgy at the same time. Seeing her in person, signing for fans, was such a treat! I’ll keep her identity a little secret here (as requested), but let’s just say… her works are even more stunning up close.

Creative Sparks at the Creators Lab

The Creators Lab was another highlight of the event -  a cozy space to soak in creative energy and insights from fellow artists, cosplayers, and musicians. Listening to them share their creative process reminded me of my own animation days and how much the scene has evolved. I even discovered a few new digital art tools that I can’t wait to try out! That’s the beauty of conventions like these, right? You come to share, learn, and leave inspired.

Cosplay Competition Highlights

And of course, what’s a creator fest without some amazing cosplay? I managed to catch the competition this year, and wow! The craftsmanship was next-level! The Cardcaptor Sakura cosplayer, who won top prize, even had spinning cards, while the Arcane Jinx cosplayer built a working rhino prop that actually rotated! I wish I could’ve caught them after the show for some behind-the-scenes tips, but they were instantly surrounded by fans. Guess I’ll have to aim for that at AFA Singapore 2025 this November. 😆

Wrapping Up the Weekend

Here are some of the other amazing cosplayers and creators I met at the fest; their passion and dedication truly made this event shine. I’m already counting down to AFA Singapore 2025 in November!

What about you? Did you catch any of the artists or cosplayers this year? Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing ticketing updates and event details for AFA 2025 soon!

Unforgettable Fun at AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore 2023!

Hi Huneybees,

I just returned from the inaugural AFA Creators Super Fest Singapore 2023 (#AFACSF23), and it was an exhilarating experience. Held at Singapore EXPO, the event brought together cosplayers from around the world and the biggest names in anime, comics, and games.

Unlike the annual AFA affair, this event felt more intimate, allowing fans to get up close and personal with the anime world. The Creators Lab panel was particularly rewarding, with industry professionals sharing tips and answering questions from creative enthusiasts.

Stepping into the grounds, LAM's works immediately caught my eye. The intricate details and vibrant colors, combined with dramatic perspectives, tell a story with just a single drawing. It's no wonder the booth attracted so many fans eager to get their hands on the merchandise.

The variety of fan art at the booths was fascinating, each artist showcasing their unique style. There were also plenty of self-created anime merch on sale, leaving my pockets feeling the burn.

The highlight, of course, was the cosplaying. Fans dressed up in incredible costumes, and there were professional cosplayer meet and greets offering fan service and merchandise. It was fun to see anime characters come to life and attract attention as we cruised through the event space. There's so many to capture and here's some of the beautiful creations...

Overall, I'm eagerly anticipating this year's AFA and next year's Creator Fest. It was a blast interacting with like-minded fans and catching up on the latest in the anime scene.

Top 8 Showcases You Must Visit At AFA Singapore 2016

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Anime Festival Asia (AFA) has returned to Singapore again at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 406, from 25th November (Friday) to 27th November (Sunday).

From my experience today at the festival, there seems to be greater focus on showcases than last year.
To avoid mental stress trying to navigate between booths and stages through thousands of anime fans at the festival, here are my Top 8 recommended showcases that you must visit.

1. Kodansha VR Idol "Hop Step Sing!" booth at A188

If you are looking for an upgrade experience to your typical idol anime, Idol anime VR, a system that takes you for an immersive idol anime experience may be what you need. Similar to THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls Viewing Revolution for Playstation VR, this system works using Steam VR instead, with an original cast of characters.

2. BANDAI Model Kit at booth A21 & A24

There is a life size Gundam model for photo opportunity but the real star is the 1/60 scale Premium Bandai featuring Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex in Perfect Grade on display. You can get this limited edition, shiny gold coating model kit at SGD550 with free shipping if you pre-order at the booth during the festival.

3. KOTOBUKIYA at booth A09

Frame Arms Girl reminds me of KanColle. Assembled in a similar fashion to Gundam models but with more customization in terms of weaponry, these kawaii plastic model kits have been well received so far since its launch in 2015.  Do note that the new models HRESVELGR (SGD64.99) and INNOCENTIA (SGD44.99) are coming out in January and March 2017 respectively. There will also be a anime release scheduled in 2017.

4. Sword Art Online at booths A29 & A35

Sword Art Online has two booths (A29 & A35) this year. One of them features life size cut-outs of Kirito and Asuna dressed in costumes related to different countries such as Singapore, Germany and South Korea. Other products related to the new movie, Sword Art Online The Movie - Ordinal Scale -, were on sale at the booths. There was also a special anime showcase for the movie featuring Kanae Ito and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, the VAs of Yui and Kirito respectively.

5. Ghost Parade at Booth A89

Ghost Parade, a new game by Indonesian company Lentera, is currently in the beta stage. The game is about a young girl who gets lost in a forest on her way to school and meets many different ghosts. The ghosts are friendly and this young girl helps them by solving their problems. Players also get to "collect" the ghosts and learn more about their underlying legends, and in the end, they shall see that perhaps these mysterious legends aren't as scary as what we often make them out to be.

The game currently focuses on Indonesian ghosts and spirits, but is intending to expand to include other Asian legends as well. The game is expected to launch early 2017.

To show support for Ghost Parade, you can check out their Facebook, Instagram, Official Line account or their ask.fm page. You can also find out more at their webpage.

6. Cool Japan at Booth A105

Robi, a easy-to-assemble part-work robot from Japan standing at 34cm in height and weighing 1kg, was on showcase during the festival under Cool Japan (Booth A105) together with RoBoHon, a robot smartphone by SHARP.

Also at the booth are 5 recommended Apps and 88 Japanese animation spots (seichi) selected for anime fans.

7. WAKUWAKU Japan at Booth A97

Want to have a chance to meet & greet Pikotaro also known as Mr. PPAP in person?

If so, you need to join the PPAP challenge by uploading to Instagram of you dressing up as Pikotaro himself and perform PPAP!

8. SONY at Booth A101

Experience Artificial Intelligence at work by interacting in real time with adorable character "Megumi Kato" from "SAEKANO ~How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend~. "MAIN HEROINE KATO MEGUMI"is available for Android App download on Google Play.

Have a Kawaii Sunday!
