Win Sony PlayStation®4 As APBS Partners With Traffic Police To Launch 1st Digital Campaign Against Drink-Driving

Hi Huneybees,

On 6th December 2013, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (APB Singapore) announced details of a new digital project aimed at discouraging the public from driving to drink and to share creative ways of getting to a party without driving. The digital campaign forms part of the on-going ‘Don’t Drink to Drive’ campaign launched by the Traffic Police and the Singapore Road Safety Council.
This is the first year that the annual ‘Don’t Drive to Drink’ campaign boasts a digital viral activation.
“We are always on the lookout for a fresh and effective approach to remind and educate consumers on responsible alcohol consumption. By seeking public involvement in this year’s anti-drink drive campaign, we aim to make the key message of ‘don’t drive to drink and you’ll never drink and drive’ stick.
It is the first time we are crowd sourcing for fresh ideas on how we can avoid drink-driving this festive season. It is our hope that through peer-to-peer sharing of creative ideas and best practices, we encourage more buy-in for responsible consumption,”  --- Shannen Fong, Head of Corporate Relations for APB Singapore

At the heart of the digital activation is a new micro-site, dontdrive2drink.sg. The micro-site aims to crowd source for creative ways to not drive to drink. Consumers are tasked to give suggestions by using the hashtag “#dontdrink2drive” on their social media pages across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
To drive public participation, attractive prizes are up for grabs, with APB Singapore giving away prizes based on two different categories – the Most-Liked Entry and the Most-Shared Entry. Each category will offer five S$100 taxi vouchers to help promote dontdrink2drive, and the top winner in each category will also receive the brand new Sony PlayStation®4 valued at S$639.

Tiger Beer introduced their New 12-Can Ice Pack!

Hi Huneybees,

Singapore's number one beer, Tiger Beer, will soon be launching a new addition to its take-home offerings with a unique 12-can ice pack. Designed to serve as a "cooler box", the new ice pack requires consumers to simply add ice into it to chill the cans.

A first for the brand in Singapore, it will be available in the marketplace from mid-November in anticipation of the year-end festive season where gatherings and parties either at home or outdoor are commonly held among consumers.

PARTY!!!!

The 12-can ice pack was conceptualised to serve the need of consumers, who often have limited space in their fridges, to chill their beer packs and cans in the lead up to hosting such gatherings. With the new ice pack, consumers need not place their beer cans in larger cooler boxes!

Follow this ‘how-to guide’ on using the 12-can ice pack to enjoy chilled Tiger Beer without any hassle:

Step 1 – Consumers will first need to purchase the new Tiger Beer 12-can ice pack! It will be available at a retail price of $26.50 in all major super and hyper markets.

Step 2 – Following the instructions on the outer packaging, consumers will have to open the ice pack box by tearing the lid from the top.

Step 3 – Add ice into the pack, with the amount not exceeding the red line indicator on the sides.

Have fun! Cheers!!
Step 4 – The beer cans will be chilled to approximately 4 degrees Celsius in just 20 minutes, the optimum temperature to enjoy refreshing Tiger Beer!

Tiger Translate - Suspended Animation

Hi Huneybees,

Last night, Tiger Translate launched their 1st installment event "Suspended Animation", to over 300 guests at 15 Minutes, LaSalle. Launched in 2005, Tiger Translate is a global creative platform that showcases the best in art, design, music and photography by creatives from the East and West. Tiger Translate serves as an opportunity for consumers to “transform their world” based on their individual expression.

The event was anchored by Tiger Crystal, a variant of world acclaimed and Singapore’s most popular beer brand, Tiger Beer.

Enjoying the party with Peiyun!

Reminded me of the food served at Dr. Martens' #FIRSTANDFOREVER Campaign.

The event was conceptualised with the theme of Suspended Animation, inspired by the filtering technique used as part of the process to produce Tiger Crystal called “Cold Suspension”, and provided an audio-visual experience to guests, in line with the global positioning of Tiger Translate as a platform to enrich and bring new perspectives to consumers’ beer experiences.

With Darren Dubwise from local group Syndicate and guest DJ Isaac Aesili from New Zealand performing a mix of cutting-edge beats throughout, guests were encouraged to draw out their personal expressions of creativity through art and music at interactive projections installed at the venue.

These projections generated graphics based on motion and were able to display them as art pieces to produce different suspended animation works.

I even got to keep a memento for myself!

Guests had to simply be in front of each interactive wall and create a series of movements and gestures to produce their very own motion art which they were able to take home. Another interactive area allowed guests to jump on a trampoline and their movements were captured as
graphic animation on a screen.

Throughout the event, guests enjoyed refreshing and easy-to-drink Tiger Crystal and were also able to take home exclusive and limited silk-screened Tiger Translate T-shirts designed by local visual and audio specialist, Kiat of Syndicate.

Hit + Run! The company I met during Social Media Week!

“Tiger Translate is all about engaging our consumers through a multi-sensory fusion of art, design and music, and we wanted to stay true to this message with this event by focusing on the theme of motion capture as a visual art form. We are encouraged and pleased with the response from guests who enjoyed drawing out individual levels of creative expression and this different perspective to enjoying Tiger Crystal” ---Mr. Rene de Monchy, Head of Marketing, APBS.

Thanks Tiger Beer!

More Than 200 Elderly Folk From Kreta Ayer Revel In CNY Festivities With APB

Hi Huneybees,

More than two hundred elderly persons living in the Kreta Ayer constituency were treated to an evening of food, fun and festivity as part of the celebrations to usher in the upcoming Year of the Water Dragon.

Hosted by Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (APBS) at Kreta Ayer Square in Chinatown, an intimate charity dinner was held to enhance the spirit of "togetherness" amongst the elderly community.

Tables are set.
Guest of Honour - Dr Lili Neo was seated.
Yum Seng!

After a little performance and speech, the dinner has officially started.

First dish has got to be the Yu Sheng! How can you miss that on a CNY dinner right?

Wonder what's everyone wishing for as they 'mixed' the ingredients together.

APBS staff was on the ground as hosts to the elderly guests, providing the personal touch to serve them a sumptuous spread and provide an evening to remember. Even blogger Gin Wong was there to volunteer and helped with the beer.

In between, there were some performances and more food!

This lady was super happy and she was dancing, singing along with the performance. A little high?

Mr Michael Chin, General Manager, APBS, along with Dr Lily Neo, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC and Adviser to Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng GROs ended the evening of festivities by personally handing out red packets (ang baos) to each of the elderly folk in attendance at the event.

Dr Lili Neo. She totally never changes. I used to enter into art competitions and Dr Lili Neo was the one who would hand me my certs and trophies. It's amazing she looks the same!

Dr Lili Neo and hubby, Dr Ben Neo.

Said Mr Chin, “Organising this Chinese New Year charity dinner has become a tradition for APB Singapore and it gives us the opportunity to give back to the community each year. This year’s dinner event is significant as it marks the tenth year that we have hosted it for the elderly living in Kreta Ayer and we will work towards supporting the community them in the years ahead.”

Check out the crowd that night. They were all here for the entertainment on stage.
Check out this camera man's bling!
Last act was by Chen Jian Bing.

Dr Lili Neo sending her blessings as she leaves the place.
Great job team!
Thank you APB for the invitation! Have a prosperous Dragon Year!
CHEERS!
