DAUGHTRY Showed Professionalism During Their Recent Showcase At ION Orchard Singapore

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Chris Daughtry was in town on 17 Oct with his band - DAUGHTRY - to do an acoustic showcase at this year's ION Fashion Concert held outside the ION Orchard mall, in celebration ION Orchard's 5th Anniversary.

Wearing an overgrown chinstrap beard, the American rock star and his band members - Brian Craddock and Elvio Fernandes - started the gig with "Baptized" from their fourth and latest studio album of the same title.

The band then performed songs mainly from their debut album -Daughtry - such as "Feels Like Tonight", "Over You", "What About Now" and "It's Not Over" before switching to more recent hit "Battleships" to the joy of the hundreds of fans singing by the barricades that surrounded the parameter of the outdoor showcase and separated ION Orchard's VIP guests from public.

Unfortunately, mid way through the song, a sudden downpour disrupted the whole gig and forced the band and ION Orchard's VIP guests to take shelters  away from the outdoor stage.

Fans of Daughtry however persisted to stay in the rain in hope of the band returning back on stage to resume the showcase. Their prayers were indeed heard as within 20 minutes, the rain actually ceased and the band did return to reward their fans with their final 3 songs - "Home", "September" and "Waiting For Superman".

The band's professionalism certainly caught my admiration and gave me the courage to sing out loud with the band and fans throughout the remaining gig!

Daughtry ended the night high by giving away their available guitar picks to the luck few fans who managed to catch them.

To my Huneybees, Chris claimed that Singapore is one of his favorite place and the band would love to return for a full concert soon!
