SERIOUSLY! What Does The Fox Say?!

Hi Huneybees,

I bet you have heard this amazingly viral song on YouTube and on your radio stations. It's the "Fox Song"  by Norwegian duo - Ylvis (Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker). The song might seem as a joke at first and when I first heard it on 987FM, I still tot it was a parody song that The Muttons made up on their own. *OOPS!*

But then, it grows! My hubby and I would wake up with this song in our heads, sing the song out of nowhere and then listen to the song before we sleep. It's like our lullaby and it never cease to keep us giggling everytime we hear this song!

The song went viral overnight (although still not as high as Miley's outrageously gorgeous body showing video "Wrecking Ball") with its ridiculous sounds like "Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding" and "Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow." But the sentence in the pre-chorus - "What The Fox Say?" got me thinking and cracking me brain hard.

SERIOUSLY! What Does The Fox Say?!

So, curious Huney went buzzing around Google and found the answer! I thought it will be a bark like dog's but actually...

It is this horrible, scary shrill. If I didn't see this video, I would still imagine a lady being scared the sh*t out of her by her pranky friends. It's thought that this call is used by vixens (female foxes) to lure male foxes to them for mating, though males have been found to make this sound occasionally as well. *Eh, sounds more like a call to de-mating, I'd rather the "Hotee Hotee Hotee Ho" from the song*

Yipee! So now, the mystery is solved! But then it got me thinking, why is it that the sound of fox is so uncommon? Well, it's coz teachers at schools and books always teaches the animal sounds of dogs, cats, lions, etc. It's hardly sounds of the hardly seen wildlife that is mentioned.

So, let me ask you, "What does the deer say?"
Go Google it. I bet you will be shocked!

987FM BBQ Beach Bash Presented By Sjora

Hi Huneybees,

On Saturday, 987FM and Sjora held the 987 BBQ Beach Bash at Sentosa Wavehouse. It was sweltering hot, but it didn't melt our desire to party!

Being a beach party, bikini babes were definitely a must have! And also, we were treated to free flow of BBQ (by BBQwholesale.com) and Sjora (a premium and refreshing flavorful beverage, made from a unique blend of Mango, Pinapple Juice and Milk), together with airbrush tattoos. I even got one for myself and hubby's been calling me Ah Lian (Definition here) ... *Sigh*

Adorable girls with matching bone singlets.
This guy was so cute to have a Mickey Mouse on the back of his neck...

My tattoo on my chest and Yun had a bat signal on her wrist...
At the party with my babes...
Nothing beats having good company and good music. The performers for the day were local bands Jack and Rai as well as The Sam Willows. Some of you might have seen their performance on my Instagram, but I'll put the videos here again...

A shot with my fav duo - Jack and Rai.

Spotted Benjamin and Sandra (of The Sam Willows) amongst the crowd.
There were games played, contests and lucky draws. Lucky me also won $500 worth of vouchers. Yipee! Shopping time all thanks to 987FM and Sjora!

The Double Ds.
With Divian.
With the 987FM DJs - Divian, Vernon, DeeKosh and Justin. Namely The Double Ds and The Muttons.

Well, they always say good times end fast. Before we knew it, the sun was setting and the party was coming to an end. It was great fun and I'm definitely looking forward to next year's bash. Thank you 987FM and Sjora!

Pleasure Seekers, Come Discover The Ultimate Expression Of Indulgent Pleasure With MAGNUM

Hi Huneybees,

Woohoo! Pleasure lovers, Ice Cream Fanatics! You are in for a treat! MAGNUM SINGAPORE Pleasure Store opened at Clarke Quay’s Central Fountain Square this weekend. It also coincided with the launch of the new Magnum Pink (Marc de Champagne) and Magnum Black (Espresso) – two decadent ice creams each reflecting the different, contrasting sides to our personalities; flirty and frivolous or sophisticated and elegant.

The party begin with drinks, canapes and a little mingling with photo taking opportunities. Some celebrities were also spotted amongst the crowd - Jack and Rai, The Muttons, Keagan Kang, Jade Seah, etc.

I was treated to a media preview inside the Pleasure Store before it was officially opened to public. Come on in and check it out...

Busy chefs at work...
So, what is the MAGNUM SINGAPORE Pleasure Store about?

A key and central element to all Magnum Pleasure Stores, including Singapore’s, is the experience of designing one’s very own Magnum. Starting with an uncoated vanilla Magnum, pleasure makers will take pleasure seekers on a unique six steps journey, where they can indulge the senses in the sights, sounds and smells of Magnum chocolate and ice cream in designing their very own Magnum.

Simply tick your choices and the friendly staffs will prepare your creations.

Choose from an array toppings for your very own MAGNUM ice cream.

Pleasure seekers can also have their very own Magnum creation seen through the Magnum Lookbook that has been specially created to allow digital capture and sharing of their unique designs online and at the store. My mum and I made our own creations and nothing beats eating something that was done by you. Agree??

On top of that, MAGNUM SINGAPORE Pleasure Store also serves up exquisite and sumptuous Magnum desserts and cocktails long into the night. The menu of remarkable pleasures includes beautiful Magnum dessert creations such as “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”, created from edible flower, assorted fizzy berries, white chocolate sheet and a Magnum.

We were also wow-ed by the couture dress - The Magnum Pink & Black Twitter Vote Dress, designed by fashion label, Cute Circuit. It was worn by Jaymee Ong.

Pleasure seekers also had the opportunity to play fashion designer for the night by influencing the colour and pattern of the Magnum Pink and Black Twitter Vote Dress in real-time. This beautiful couture dress was fitted with a layer of ‘intelligent fabric’ containing high-density LEDs which was simply controlled via an app which communicated Twitter votes #MakeitPink or # MakeitBlack to the dress. Their live tweets were collected via a Moodometer on stage which decided on the color and pattern of the dress.

“Designing and creating the Magnum Pink and Black Twitter Vote Dress has been a pleasure. The  newly launched Magnum Pink and Magnum Black are designed to indulge the different sides of your personality at different moments; a key theme which we wanted to reflect in the dress itself. Now, for the first time ever, we have beautiful French chiffon gown which is the perfect, adaptable outfit; whether you’re in a flirty and expressive mood or are feeling sophisticated and elegant.” --- Francesca Rosella, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Cute Circuit

What are they eating? Well, it's time to unveil the other surprise! But first, there was a short speech by Mr. Moustapha Khaled, Country Director, Unilever Singapore.

“The new MAGNUM SINGAPORE Pleasure Store is a unique concept store where pleasure is yours for the making. It has been a hit across the globe and hence we want to bring this experience to the discerning pleasure seekers in Singapore”, said Mr. Moustapha Khaled, Country Director, Unilever Singapore.

Yipee! Time to try the new flavours~

Babe and Hunk with indulgent ice cream. Yummy!

For those feeling fun and frivolous, the Magnum Pink, a pink Marc de Champagne ice cream coated with a premium pearlescent pink layer of crackling Magnum chocolate sauce, is the prefect indulgent treat to bring out the exuberant bubbly side. To match a more refined and elegant personality, the Magnum Black, containing intense black espresso coffee swirled in a smooth, creamy vanilla ice cream that is covered in the signature thick layer of crackling dark Magnum chocolate, is simply delectably decadent.

Thank you MAGNUM for the pleasurable journey!
