Hi Huneybees,

Were you there on Saturday to meet Oppa Song Seung Heon at the Saimdang fan meet? Decked in a suave beige suit for the media press conference, he was happy to be back on screen after so many years and this time working next to popular actress - Lee Young Ae.

Many of you would have known Song through the romantic korean drama - Autumn in My Heart back in 2000 and Lee Young Ae as the lead actress of Jewel In The Palace in 2003. After more than 10 years, they are back on our screens for the highly-anticipated drama Saimdang (师任堂).

During the media conference, Song shared that in the presence of his idol - Lee Young Ae, he also couldn't control his little heart from a nervous breakdown, where he stumbled on his words and had to NG a few times during the first filming.  😆 Ain't he so adorable?! 😆

After meeting with the media, he went on to meet with his fans and Singtel TV subscribers hosted by Singtel and Oh!K. Around 1,500 excited fans turned out to support Song, which some of whom arrived as early as 12noon!

The lucky fans had the opportunity to take photos and interact with him, and they ended the night with a wefie shot with him. 😍

Saimdang follows the story of Shin Saimdang (Lee Young Ae) - the 16th-century painter and poet, who has her picture on the Korean 50,000 won bill. Travel between past and present as her love story with Lee Gyeom (Song Seung Heon) melts our hearts. More at: http://huneyzworld.blogspot.sg/2017/01/meet-and-greet-song-seung-heon-this.html .

Hi Huneybees,

Top local salon chain - Shunji Matsuo opened the 11th branch at 20 Handy Road and it promises of a more spacious salon with its sky high ceilings, white-washed decor and 8ft mirrors, with a [Cozy Luxe] concept.

This new outlet even have a private treatment room for customers who prefers privacy for some relaxation as well as a nail bar extension called Home Nails. You can simply get your hair and nails done here at one place, so time saving!

At the launch party, local artiste - Tay Kewei made a special appearance (hehehe, see her lovely curls?! It's done at the hair salon too!) and we also got to see a hair demo done by their international director stylists. They worked fast to get these styles done, which is your favourite?

Other than that, we also got our hair makeovers done in the salon, just in time for us to attend AFF 2014. It's the first time I got my hair poof-ed and fishtail braided. I'm kinda digging the style, the gradients of my green hair is finally shown off again!

See how my frizzy hair is all solved in one braid?!

Thank you Janice for the invite!
I was totally loving her hairstyle, so spunky and stylish!

Thanks to Catherine for getting out hair styled so lovely, even hubby also got to "refresh" his hair...

Congratulations Shunji Matsuo on the opening of a new store. Shunji Matsuo By Poise is located at 20 Handy Road, Nomu #01-01, Singapore 229236

2 Oishii New Local Delights At Ramen Kagetsu Arashi

Hi Huneybees,

If you are J-crazy like me and have an exquisite palette for Japanese food, you would be delighted to find the 2 new additions to Ramen Kagetsu Arashi an Oishii delight.

The Ginjiro Ramen ($13.90) was the star of the show. Being introduced to me as rich in collagen, I was literally diving into the bouncy noodles with the sweet broth. What makes the bowl of ramen that special has got to be the broth. You could taste the sweetness of pork and with the very unique dried bonito and kelp flavour, I couldn't stop drinking it.

I do like the softness of the Cha Siew pork slice, but I was a little disappointed to find hard boiled eggs instead of the Ajitsuke Tamago (soft boiled egg) which I always prefer. But as the soft boiled egg changes the ramen broth, the hard boiled egg was chosen instead.

Of course, if you insist to have the soft boiled egg, you could always order it on the side.

The black pepper is specially flown in from Japan and try the soy sauce made from Kagetsu Ramen's secret recipe. which has been passed down from generation to generation.
And along with the Ginjiro Ramen, you can have a few add-ons to go with it. One that I would recommend would be the freshly crushed garlic. It enhances the taste of the ramen, making it not as sweet, yet bringing out the strong flavour of the pork bone taste in the broth.

Another would be to have the special in-house seasoned chives prepared daily. It may be a little spicy, but it gives every bite a special kick and oomph, a total twist for your taste buds!

Next, we had the Itameshi Dry Curry Rice ($12.90). Though the sausage was not a big favourite of mine, I must say the thin butter slice and the unique curry sauce when blended together with the slightly scorched rice and egg, it was heaven in my mouth.

I'm always a fan of the crunchy slightly burnt rice and to my surprise, the curry sauce was a little peppery instead of the usual sweet curry. It's very much closer to the fried rice style we have at Zi Char stores, definitely a must-go-to dish.

We also got to try their Gyoza ($6.00). The best way to enjoy the Gyoza-s would be to dip them in a mixture of shoyu, white vinegar and chili oil (layu) together. Totally a highly rated sauce, but consistency in their Gyoza-s is a must.

The first batch of Gyoza-s we had were a little soft, not "burnt" enough on the skin and the filling was definitely more bland compared to the second serving.  I was not a big fan of it though...

Out of curiosity, I also tried the number 1 favorite seller in Japan’s Ramen Kagetsu Arashi -  the Arashi Genkotsu Ramen.
The Genkotsu Ramen soup had a strong garlic aftertaste, and was overly sweetened with onion. The broth is not as thick as the Ginjiro Ramen. so if  you prefer something light, you could give the Genkotsu Ramen a try...

Meet and Greet with Kai Ko 柯震东 & Guo Shu Yao 郭書瑤

Hi Huneybees,

Kai Ko 柯震东 & Guo Shu Yao 郭書瑤 was in Singapore last month to promote their latest movie "WHEN WOLF FALLS IN LOVE WITH SHEEP (南方小羊牧场)". Here's the movie trailer:

I'm here today to share the photos I took that day! Heart throb Kai Ko 柯震东 (newly dating Taiwanese pop diva - Elva Hsiao 萧亚轩) was glowing in love and he was super shy and more of a soft spoken and many a times one word kind of guy.

Guo Shu Yao 郭書瑤 aka 瑤 瑤 did not over do in her dressing like the times in her MV and went to soft cute grey/white apparels and flowery headband. Her face definitely melted lots of guys hearts and I must say both Kai Ko and Guo Shu Yao gave the girls and guys (respectively) sufficient eye candy.

After the fan meet, it was time for the movie premiere!

Before the movie started the 2 actor and actress stepped in front of the big screen to discuss more about the movie, and stepped off to let the fans enjoy the movie.

More photos can be viewed at my album.
