Scoot Flys To Berlin This June

Flashback : Jennifer Lopez Performs At The 2014 SINGAPORE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

So, F1 just zipped and pass us by, congratulations to Lewis Hamilton! Award winning diva - Jennifer Lopez was here as she closed up the night's concert with her hot dances, setting Singapore "ablaze" and the nation dancing to her tunes.

Other than performing tunes from her older albums, she also showcased some of her latest songs from her new album - A.K.A., Her such as "First Love" and "I Luh Ya Papi". Her energy level was at all high and never was there a moment of tiredness from her.

Flashback : MAYDAY (五月天) Concert At 2014 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

SINGAPORE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX by SINGAPORE AIRLINES may be over but the ultra-high energy performance by MAYDAY (五月天), in front of 40,000 fans at Padang on Day 1 of the race, still replays vividly inside my mind.

Announced by Ashin (陳信宏) “Treat this as a large-scale Mayday concert”, the band performed hits after hits from JUMP, DNA to 恋爱ing to the delight of the fans who had started queuing for the best spot to catch the band as early as 3pm as witnessed by Monster (溫尚翊).

Here are some flashback pictures that I captured during the concert.

Apart from making the fans dancing and singing along to their songs, MAYDAY (五月天) also created a Laugh Out Loud moment when Guitarist Stone (石錦航) attempted to speak in (broken) English: “We are really exciting today because there’s a great race there.”

Mid-way through the 100 minutes concert, the band slowed down the tempo a little by making a request to switch off the lighting around the stage while asking all fans to switched on their handphones to create a beautiful starry backdrop before the band performed their ballad 星空. That was certainly the most memorable moment of concert in my opinion!

As echoed by Ashin (陳信宏) at one point during the band's performance “Do you miss Mayday a little? After we finish all our songs, you will miss us even more", I could not wait for their 9th studio album to be released!

[Tried & Tested] Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo

Ever since I started dying my hair in multi colours, I've been looking to Dry Shampoo to refrain from shampoo-ing and washing off the colours excessively. It's been the aerosol bottle spray type that I've been using, so here I am trying the powder version for the first time.

This lovely purple bottle is the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo. It was part of the Sephora Christmas goodie bag and I brought it along with me on my trip to New Zealand. The flight was an excruciating 13 hours, so I definitely had to bring my "shampoo" along to refresh my scalp. *Yes, I had a mini photoshoot in the airplane's toilet whilst everyone's dozing off in dreamland*

This talc-free dry shampoo helps absorb the excess oil/sweat, product build-up and other impurities your hair. It also makes hair smell amazing, containing:

Age-Control Complex® - Combats chronological, chemical, and environmental aging.
Enzymetherapy® - A core Alterna technology found in each of the brand’s products helps transform ingredients into a micro-structure that the hair can more easily absorb, allowing for deeper more targeted penetration of active ingredients.
Color Hold® - Infuses hair with plant-derived melanin for extreme color protection and the prevention of color washout. Protects hair from UVA UVB and visible light including artificial light sources.

It’s also formulated without:

Parabens
Sulfates
Synthetic Dyes
Phthalates
GMOs
Triclosan

Well, it might be a little too much science there for you, so here's my review on using the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Dry Shampoo.

Firstly, I'm in love with the applicator nozzle. It allows for precise application of the dry shampoo, but I have to warn you to pour slowly otherwise, you will be having white roots. There is a slight cooling effect when shampoo is applied, thus relieving any scalp itchiness too!

It did make my hair less oily but in terms of voluminizing, it doesn't seem to do much. It does leave a little waxy kinda feel, which creates a hold for any hairstyling. I would say this is a great item to have if you wana make your colour last longer with lesser hair wash, flying long hauls or even during confinement, you can feel fresh while smelling good too. :)

Opening Night Of FIDé Fashion Week 2013 - Pierre Balmain

Tonight, FIDé Fashion Week kicked off with a runway show by Pierre Balmain, featuring their prêt-à-por·ter Men's and Women's latest collection. Other than the 2 classy gowns we see above, the collection also featured some interesting prints alongside this season's must-have leather jackets and pants.

The convention hall in Marina Bay Sands was overflowed with fashionista-s who came to popular French label. Did you know our iconic uniform of the Singapore Airlines Girl was created by Pierre Balmain himself?!

Known for sophistication and elegance and being seen on celebrities and prominent ladies like Angelina Jolie, Penélope Cruz, Alexandra Kerry, Tatiana Sorokko, Kate Moss and Kristin Davis, I expected something a little more glam and evening ready. So imagine my disappointment when I realize the collection showcased was more of daily wear (instead of the last 2 gowns in the end)... =(
