M.A.C Launches Candylicious Lip Glosses - Oh, Sweetie

Oh, Sweetie! An affectionate name for M.A.C's latest collection of Lip Glosses, that are not only named after different desserts, they smell just like those sweet treats too! The 15 piece collection is headed up by model and influencer Caroline Daur and they are not to be missed, especially for those who have a sweet tooth.

With names like Funfetti Cake, Sugar Cookies, Banana Muffins, Coconut Macaron, Death by Chocolate and Purple Panna Cotta, this collection is super fun and colourful to have and great for this Summer. 

The rainbow confetti packaging are so lovely to look at, brightening my dresser and even brightens my day! For those who are always in nude or natural eye makeup, pairing these colours with your OOTD will definitely make your photos pop!

The lip glosses have a sheen of iridescence in them and the texture is creamy like mousse and opaque. They are not like the usual M.A.C Lipglasses that are just a sheer top coat and are not drying like those velvet lipsticks. Some of the colours do require a few swipes to get its full intensity, but what's fun is that you can mix them up, especially with the unconventional colours, to create new shades and even new flavours!

The Oh, Sweetie Lip Glosses are surprising long-wearing, yet not drying to the lips. They do leave some marks when drinking or kissing but there's still a stain of the colours left. It does take abit of effort to remove the lip glosses, you might need a dedicated lip makeup remover to do the job. Meow KatyCats! Katy Perry is back with another collaboration with CoverGirl. Since their first collection Katy Kat Matte, I've been stashing up on those babies. Now, they have launched the Katy Kat Gloss collection.

This line consists of 12 highly pigmented lip glosses inspired by kitties, each tube coming with a little cat topper. If strong bold glossy lips are your favourite, you will definitely be swooning over these lip glosses. As seen from the video above, the lip glosses seems pretty pigmented and ultra glossy, it is said that they give you the benefits of a lip moisturizer as well. [Tried & Tested] Go Bold or Nude With Maybelline

Are you Bold or Nude?

Introducing the all new lipsticks from Maybelline. Choose from both sides - BOLD & NUDE to suit your character. BOLD is brighter and more matte whereas NUDE is more glossy and add sweetness to your look. Which if more you?

For the BOLD range, I have the MAT 1-5 (Hot Pink, Sugar Pink, Cheeky Coral, Vivid Coral, Bold Red), each a strong colour and I'm loving it. This is definitely more my style, super match with my pink hair! This is a range for those who like to do light eye makeup and want to show off your lips.

Nice right? I feel so Nicki Minaj! My favourite from the range is MAT1 (Hot Pink).

For the NUDE range, I have the NE01 (Blush Beige), NE04 (Velvet Coral), NE05 (Nude Pink) and NE06 (Sheer Rose). The colours are not very bright, just a light sheer tinge to your lips, with a glossy effect. Highly recommend for those who focus more on their eye makeup.

I have NE01 (Blush Beige) on. It's a soft pink tinge on my lips and I like how it sweetens the whole look, as sometimes with a full black eyeliner, I tend to look too fierce.

[What's New] Benefit Instant Beauty

I was recently at the Style x Benefit Workshop and picked up a few tips about their products and was introduced to their latest kits - Complexion Kit / Lip and Cheek Kit.

Here are the range of Benefit products...

Our homegrown makeup guru - Larry Yeo demonstrated that day and he began moisturizing and preparing the model's skin with Benefit's b.right! Radiant Skincare.

Yasminne Cheng was the host for the night.

In fact, after using them, the model's skin looked clean and refreshed, she could actually head out like that with some sunscreen.

Ok, now onto makeup.

First, minimize pores with POREfessional.

Then, with Benetint, give your cheeks the natural red glow and lips too!

After applying Hello Flawless foundation, conceal the problem ares with Erase Paste and Boi-ing of your shade.

Lip Balm. Lip Gloss and Mascara. Voila!

Nice right? The model looked so young and refresh, totally suitable for a every day look. So here's a little introduction to their kits, so that everyone can try out and get instant beauty!

First up, Complexion Kit.

I received the Light version.

Inside are the products alongside a mirror and instructions of step-by-step usage of each product.

In the kit, there's POREfessional, a small bottle of HELLO FLAWLESS that matches my skin colour, 2 shades of boi-ing to mix or use alone for concealing and lastly a face powder and a brush to set the face. 

Following the steps and with some basic skills, you can achieve flawless looking skin in just 4 simple steps!

And for the makeup portion, for natural rosy cheeks and some shades of colour, there is the Lip and Cheek Kit.

I got the Sugarlicious Kit that go deliciously nude... sweet & soft shades for a fresh, natural-looking glow!

Yes, in there are not only the products, there's also a vanity mirror and step-by-step tips and tricks. There's Benetint, a rose tinted lip and cheek stain, High Beam for highlighting the high points of the face for a 3D look, Sugarbomb - a quadrant coloured blusher for the sugar rush flush and also Sugarbomb a shimmery light pink lip gloss.

That's me after using both kits with the added eye colour, eyeliner and mascara. I love how my skin looked like porcelain!
