M.A.C Launches Candylicious Lip Glosses - Oh, Sweetie

Oh, Sweetie! An affectionate name for M.A.C's latest collection of Lip Glosses, that are not only named after different desserts, they smell just like those sweet treats too! The 15 piece collection is headed up by model and influencer Caroline Daur and they are not to be missed, especially for those who have a sweet tooth.

With names like Funfetti Cake, Sugar Cookies, Banana Muffins, Coconut Macaron, Death by Chocolate and Purple Panna Cotta, this collection is super fun and colourful to have and great for this Summer. 

The rainbow confetti packaging are so lovely to look at, brightening my dresser and even brightens my day! For those who are always in nude or natural eye makeup, pairing these colours with your OOTD will definitely make your photos pop!

The lip glosses have a sheen of iridescence in them and the texture is creamy like mousse and opaque. They are not like the usual M.A.C Lipglasses that are just a sheer top coat and are not drying like those velvet lipsticks. Some of the colours do require a few swipes to get its full intensity, but what's fun is that you can mix them up, especially with the unconventional colours, to create new shades and even new flavours!

The Oh, Sweetie Lip Glosses are surprising long-wearing, yet not drying to the lips. They do leave some marks when drinking or kissing but there's still a stain of the colours left. It does take abit of effort to remove the lip glosses, you might need a dedicated lip makeup remover to do the job. Below is a first impression and review of the collection, alongside with the swatches of all 15 shades.

Colourful Makeup This Fall With M.A.C x Rossy de Palma Collection

I've been running around like a busy little bumble bee, that I almost missed this new collection by M.A.C. Inspired by the uniqueness of Spanish actress/model - Rossy de Palma, comes this colorful collection that will definitely paint a rainbow for you this Autumn.

Rossy de Palma’s strikingly unique, Picasso-esque beauty and uninhibited, creative soul has made her one of Spanish art, fashion and cinema’s most original muses and collaborators. Now, her joie de vivre is captured in her M∙A∙C colour collection. Special packaging takes on new meaning with inspiration drawn from Rossy’s romantic glamour, and palettes featuring her eyes, nose and lips come together to form an invincible Cubist vision.

Due to Rossy's striking profile, she has always been known as a "Picasso painting come to life", being the muse of designer Jean Paul Gaultier and acclaimed film director Pedro Almodóvar. Her je ne sais quoi has been captured in this collection with a special holographic packaging that draws attention to her unique style and also a Cubist style reminiscent of her gorgeous features.

So, let's take a look at the collection.

For Lipsticks, there are supposedly 4 shades, but 1 special shade is only available online. What's in stores is Rossy (dirty mauve purple), Self Esteem (bright clean red) and Frenesi (bright red fuchsia).

Other than the individual lipsticks, there is also the Indimenticabile Lip Gloss Trio, where you can play with lip colours, mix and match them for different looks. 

Featuring Soft Dream (bright fuchsia pink), Plum Bite (a deep plum) and Velvet Me (cherry red). 

For cheeks, they have 2 daring Powder Blush shades - Pink Desire (dirty blue pink) and Red Envy (dirty red) that will give your cheeks that pop of colour whilst complimenting the eyeshadow shades in the collection.

To achieve those high cheeks and nose bridge, there is the Nose Pose Cream Colour Base Duo. Featuring Africa Dream (soft yellow nude) and Morocco (soft warm chocolate). It is a cream base, so I wasn't very keen on this palette though, but the shade works great for light to medium tan skin tones.

Here's the highlight - Colours on the Verge Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow. There are 5 shades in this palette and I'm loving every single one!

Pinky (bright pink), Money (soft green with pearl), Deep (dark blackened navy), Charcoal (black with multi-colored pearl) and Smoke (soft lilac).

The other eyeshadow palette is the My Moon Eyeshadow Duo, that features Luna Llena (frosty white) and Luna Noire (matte black). 

Luna Llena makes a good highlighting shade and I use Luna Noire for eyeliner too!

Lastly, we have the Glitters that are definitely party ready. Get them either in - Red (vibrant shimmering red) or Reflects Turquatic (sparkling bright blue that's so mermaid inspiring)!

I'll be sharing the extensive swatches from one of the collections - M.A.C Lipglass. Yes! M.A.C's hero product has gotten a new double wall vial look and new formula (jojoba oil to condition lips) for some of our favourite shades alongside new ones too. In total, 57 over the rainbow colours to match your every look and mood.

I was jumping straight into the display when I saw it in the middle of the store and was dying to hog them all the way home immediately! Can you imagine the infinity of lip colours you can come up with?! Sparkly light blue on top of jet black lips for a galaxy feel, Holographic lips for that Unicorn on you, or swipe a little orange or blue topcoat to brighten or darken that usual red lips! The list just goes on and on...

As much as I would like to get all the Lipglasses home, my wallet was not allowing me to. So I choose 3 shades that I can play with many other lip colours and also different from what other brands offer. 

I chose: 

• Gal Friday - A pearlescent shade that gives mermaid vibes
• New Galaxy - A soft blue grey sheer shade with rainbow glitter
• Yellow Jacket - A lime yellow sheer shade with light reflecting glitter

Wave goodbye to the matte black packaging for the M.A.C Studio Perfect face powder. This new packaging still encompasses one of their best selling compact foundation that all raves of its long wearing, matte finish and high coverage factors.

M.A.C Powder Blush Extension

9 new shades are added to the M.A.C's blusher range and these will be made permanent together with the other blushers on display. Some are new shades and some were previously available, these shades are stronger and bolder and would be good for those who like a flush of cheek colours with a little contouring.

This is a major lot is eyeshadows to be getting; 18 shades of liquid-powder eyeshadow with prismatic reflections is also going to join their permanent range of eyeshadows. These were previously launched as limited edition colours, but now they are joining in the permanent range too! Yipee!

These eyeshadows will glam up your eyelids and can be used wet/dry, allowing you to go from semi-sheer to semi-opaque. They last super long and I wished I had the whole rack here to play with, there are infinite combinations and I'm really in love with these duo use eyeshadows.

I've tried alot of different brands of makeup fixing sprays, there were good ones, but too costly and there were the friendly to pocket, but not as effective ones. The "Mr. Right" I found is non other than the M.A.C Prep + Prime Fix+. 

It works as my makeup finishing routine to set all the makeup and let it last through the day, it also doubles as my makeup refresher as well as the medium i use to wet my brushes to pick up those eyeshadow shades.

Well, now they are infused with 5 limited edition fragrance and my favourite is the Lavender and it was a top favourite when I was at the counter the other day. There's also Rose, Coconut, Yuzu and Cucumber. Better be quick as they won't be on the shelves for long ~~~

M.A.C The Matte Lip

This last collection is another basket load of 22 lipsticks that some of you might think they look familiar (Ruby Woo, All Fired Up, Flat Out Fabulous, Velvet Teddy, Kinda Sexy, Please Me, Heroine and Pink Pigeon). Yes, they have been sitting on the display racks for awhile already and now they are getting the limelight on them together with some other new shades.

There is a blend of shades that allows you to match them with all of your eyeshadow shades. I couldn't stay any longer, if not I would be grabbing 1 of each home! But luckily for all of us, these lipstick shades will be made permanent and we "probably" could take our time getting them eh?
