Enjoy Delicious Italiano Fiesta at MARRIOTT Café

I always enjoyed delizioso Italian cuisine, nothing beats a good plate of spaghetti and pizza, cooked and paired with its exquisite amount of fresh ingredients! So of course I was super excited when I was invited to the Italiano Fiestas lunch/dinner buffet at Marriott Café @ Singapore Marriott Hotel!

Expect to tantalise your taste buds as Marriott Cafe serves up a variety of sublime dishes encompassing antipasti, soup, pasta, prime meats as well as divine desserts. 

Dishes are cooked to perfection by an Italian maestro -  Christian Frigo, a certified Italian Masterchef by Academia Barilla (an established international center dedicated to the development and promotion of Italian Gastronomic Culturewith). Cleverly using the best available local ingredients, Christian provides diners with the most exquisite Italian dining experience in every encounter.

Available at both Lunch and Dinner Buffet from $58++, you are definitely in for a treat as you go on a trip to Italy. Be sure to give the Maiale All’uva (Pork with Fresh Grapes) a try! It's sweet sauce paired with the tenderizing pork that melts in your mouth is definitely why I'm going back for seconds.

Of course there are also other crowd pleasers like the Gnocchi Alla Romana (Romana Style Semolina Dumplings), Spezzatino Con Piselli E Patate (Stewed Beef with Green Peas & Potato), Calamari Fritti (Deep-fried Calamari with Tartar Sauce), Abbacchio Alla Romana (Braised Lamb Shoulder), Nauake All’Fegato in Fricasse (Veal Liver Fricassee), Trippa Alla Siciliana (Sicilian Style Honey Tripe), Stuffed Pork Saddle with Prunes & Panchetta, Chef Daniele’s Lasagna, Studded Lamb Leg, Veal Osso Bucco, and more.

Newly Weds Joanne Peh & Qi Yu Wu Brings Sweetness To Pasticcerria Ferrero

Another chocolatey Christmas delight is here in town for you guys to consider this festive season. Decked in shiny gold wrappers, the popular Ferrero Rocher, has brought Italy to our island with an installation of Pasticceria Ferrero  right in the heart of .

Right from 1942, Pietro Ferrero began the legendary Ferrero Rocher and now, at the Pasticcerria Ferrero, you get to experience more variations of this delectable Ferrero Pralines that were never available in Singapore.

Stepping into the store, is as though I was back in the Great Gatsby movie. Gold embellished decor with bright hanging chandeliers, all that is missing is my flapper dress. Hehehehe...

At the media launch, they had newly wedded local celebrity couple - Joanne Peh and Qi Yu Wu joined Rudy Sequeira (Managing Director, SEA, Ferrero Asia Ltd) and Leonardo Perrone  (Marketing Director, South East Asia) in the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the store. 

Bringing the unique heritage of Ferrero to Singapore, Chefs Luca Dellapiana and Alessandria Davide, specially flew in from Italy to lead a live demonstration of the making of Ferrero Rocher for their fans. These demonstrations will be held on weekends from 29 November to 1 December.and the lucky Joanne Peh and Qi Yu Wu, got to join them and make their very own pralines.

Ferrero Rocher is made only with the highest quality ingredients, beginning with the hand-picking of the finest of hazelnuts which form the heart of Rocher. The creations are then covered with decadent chocolate that reflects the elite taste of those who gift them.

Though you might not be able to hands-on like the couple, you can still customise your very own Ferrero Pralines gift with their extensive range of variants, including the special pralines available only this Christmas, for Singaporeans. The exclusive pralines include - Ferrero Tenderly White, Ferrero Cappucino, Ferrero Tenderly Nougat, Ferrero Manderly, Mon Chéri, Pocket Coffee, Kusschen White, Kusschen Milk, Kusschen Dark, Raffaello and Ferrero Rondnoir (the latter pralines are currently part of the assortment in the Ferrero Collection). 

But of course, if you are deeply infatuated with the original Ferrero Rocher, the all-time Christmas Limited Edition Rocherone and the Christmas Pyramid is back and shelved in the Pasticceria Ferrero. But I highly recommend that you give the limited edition ones a try. :)

The Pasticceria Ferrero is only available for a limited period during this festive season. From the 27^th of November 2014, Singaporeans will have the opportunity to create their own Precious Moments in the Pasticceria Ferrero at Orchard Road’s Wisma Atria. So be sure to come over early, before they head back to Italy ~

Audi Fashion Festival 2014 - Roberta Pieri Featuring Jonathan Liang

Roberta Pieri was introduced on the runways of Audi Fashion Festival 2014. It is a young leather goods workshop from Tuscany (Italy) and their philosophy is elegance in simplicity. After working in some handbag companies which were customers of his father’s company textile sector, Maurizio Nottoli founded Roberta Pieri, which is named after his mother.

They presented their Robertina, Classic and Top Travel Collections featuring models wearing the creations of popular Malaysian designer - Jonathan Liang. He is based in Paris, France and graduated in 2011 from the Raffles College of Higher Education. His collections are produced in Italy and what we saw was his Spring/Summer 2014 collection - SpellSprite.

Jonathan Liang provides the modern woman with adaptable, provocative yet combatively feminine prêt-à-porter collections that are intimate, lustrous and effortless. Combined with the colourful repetitive geometrical (I particularly love their signature cube design) and floral designs of Roberta Pieri bags, every model shone.

The SpellSprite collection was inspired by Bertil Nilsson’s work on the human anatomy as well as the scenic views of vast seabeds and coral reefs. Jonathan Liang experimented with textures, layering embroidered fabrics with Ring-spun jerseys, silk organza, and lace, creating alluring effects, resembling the radiance of the ocean and some that mystify the physical form of a woman.

The silhouette can be altered to an individuals style - street, casual, versatile or just plain feminine, it’s all within reach in this collection pairing it with the Roberta Pieri bags.
