Celebrating Valentines' Day Whilst Staying Safe From COVID-19

Hi Huneybees,

It's Valentines' Weekend, but because of the COVID-19Virus, maybe you are cutting down on human interaction or you simply just want some couples' time together. Hubby and I have come up with a few ideas and thought it will be nice to share with you, my Huneybees...

Game On!
'Hiding Out' at home could mean so many activities. You can start with sanitizing and cleaning up the home together, to spending quality time together. Cooking for each other can be so cliché, what about playing games and getting fit together then?

Ever since we got our hands on Just Dance 2020, we have been trying to match our time to play together, this weekend will be a nice time to get our dancing shoes on and see who is the better dancer!

Netflix and Chill
And when you are all tired out from all the activities, why not take a break, pop some popcorn or order in some snacks and snuggle up together to catch up on those films that you have been too busy for? There's so much to choose from, who knows, it might just lead to an amazing 'chill' session in bed eh? *wink*

Satisfying the Tummy
Whipping up a dish or 2 for your loved ones can be such an amazing gesture but if you want to take a break from the kitchen, give the other half a break from the kitchen or simply just to impress them and give them a restaurant-quality dinner date; why not try a private chef service and have him/her whip up dishes to end your night on a sweet note? There is Take a Chef for you to consider, if you have more o suggest, comment below...

Pamper Yourselves
Amidst all the work stress and news during the virus period, a time to relax and chill is all we need. Prepare a spa time, light some fragrant candles, do facials together, enjoy a comfortable bath together.

Well, these are just some ideas we came up with and hope you all have a lovely Valentines' Day with your partners. Be sure to stay safe (*wink* I mean, rubber-wise or mask-wise), be sanitary and keep the virus at bay.

Let Us Drift Into Utopias With The Inflatables

Hi Huneybees,

Art appreciation is an important way to develop critical and innovative thinking and that is why yours truly Queen Bee and I do set aside some time in our fast-paced lifestyle to do that.

Floating Utopias is one such exhibition that promises to evoke consciousness and playfulness, while at the same time provides the educational value not just about the history of inflatables but also the invisible power that it has wielded by men since its creation.

The enormous inflatables first appeared at Macy's Christmas Parade in 1927 was designed by Anthony Frederick Sarg that would become almost synonymous with the annual holiday tradition

While we could debate on whether there was link between King Louis XVI decree of the first human flight in a hot air balloon in 1783 and start of the French revolution 6 years after that led to his execution, inflatables have since been used for propagating different idealism, from Macy's use of enormous inflatable cartoons and caricatures during its Christmas Parade in 1927 to promote consumerism; to Soviet Union using it in 1937 to mobilise sentiments against the rise of fascism in Europe.

Likewise in Singapore, inflatables are often used in big parades like NDP and Chingay, such as the recent use of a life-size Formula One car replica during Chingay Parade 2019 to engage the youths.

Whether it's a public space or private one, inflatables do take up spaces but in today's increasingly scepticism sentiment among people, due to security concern and rapid urbanisation, space itself has becoming a premium and hence the use of space by inflatable can act as a barometer to measure people's tolerance towards space.

Dawn Ng and her colossal bunny - Walter
Walter, by local artist Dawn Ng, is originally created in 2011 to re-examine overlooked and over- familiar spaces around Singapore, has re-emerged as an exhibit at Floating Utopias to test audience's comfort level of personal space by having them housed in a small room with the colossal bunny.

Museum of the Moon is Luke Jerram largest work to date and it is installed to mark the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing by NASA astronauts in 1969

The highlight of the exhibition for me is definitely the Museum of the Moon by Luke Jerram where a floating sculpture of the Moon, made using state of the art scientific images from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Oribiter Camera! Spanning 6 meters in diameter and is a 1:600,000 scaled replica of the actual moon, I bet anyone will share some sort of an extraordinary experience by simply admiring the exquisite detail of the lunar surface so close up.

Outside the exhibition, there are also public activities such as Speak Out Stand Out hands-on workshop for children at  SGD$5 per participant and the free screening of icon Up and Away animation for the family to enjoy.

Artistes descended to Singapore for the Press Conference at ArtScience Museum on 24th May included Graham Stevens (Left), Ahmet Ögüt (Center) and Dawn Ng
A visual experience that features more than 40 objects and artworks, including eight large-scale air-filled sculptures, by more than 15 international and local artists, Floating Utopias is currently running at ArtScience Museum from now till 29th September 2019. Limited daily guided tour in English, Mandarin and even Japanese are available at selected day and timeslot.

Explore Floating Utopia as a couple with an open mind, allows this invention of inflatable shaped the way we understand the world, our place in it and a memorable time drifting in time and space together.

The Most Compatible Celebrity Couple

Hi guys,
I bet everyone has their ideal/most compatible celebrity couple that they "look up" to or in my case, wana be as blissful as them.

Who's my "them" u ask? It's definitely Heidi Klum and Seal! I've been loving Heidi Klum since her Victoria Secrets days. Sexy body, perfect features, flawless skin and a superbly cannot resist German accent. And seeing how romantically in love the couples are simply made me envy them.

http://www.journal.lv/blog?s=Heidi+Klum

Let's hear their story before I continue, shall we?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The relationship of Heidi Klum, a German supermodel, and Seal, a soul singer, started in the year 2004.
She was pregnant with Flavio Briatore’s baby at the time she met Seal, but she ended the relationship with this F1 mogul months before she met Seal. A photograph of Briatore kissing the jewelry heiress, Fiona Swarovski was shown on the day she announced that she was pregnant, and this happened in the autumn of 2003.

The Meeting

The two  met at the GQ Awards, which was held in London, but it was weeks later in a New York City hotel lobby that they had another chance encounter noticed one another.

It was  the first time that Seal laid eyes on Heidi Klum because he was stunned and by everything about her, especially Klum’s exotic beauty. The thing that came to his mind then was that, whoever was dating the supermodel was one lucky guy. Little did he know though that he was going to be that lucky guy he was thinking of.

Heidi Klum, on the other hand, stated that the first thing that she noticed about Seal, who just came in from the gym, was that he was wearing bicycle shorts and was promptly impressed.   :X

The Relationship

Soon after the chance meeting, the two hooked up and began dating exclusively, and a month later Heidi Klum admitted to Seal that she was pregnant with Briatore’s child and that she has already broken up with the father of the baby. Pregnant or not, it did not matter to Seal because he truly loves her.

When Heidi Klum gave birth to her daughter on May 2004, Leni, and Seal promptly assumed the role of the baby’s father. 1 year later, the couple quietly got married on the beach in Seal’s villa, which is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Subsequently, the couple had two boys to add to their daughter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When they were asked about what their secret in keeping the flame alive, guess what Seal's reply was? "Always put each other first"!

Now I know how he won her over. And seeing the paparazzi photos, they are definitely very much still in love and he treated her superbly. Can you believe they actually renewed their vows on their 4th Anniversary this year. Wonderful eh?
