Hi Huneybees,

2026 marks the Year of the Fire Horse as it gallops in with bold energy into our lives, symbolising passion, momentum, and transformation. While we welcome prosperity with reunion dinners, red packets, and well-wishes, there’s one modern reality we can’t escape: our celebrations now live both offline and online.

Between unknown calls, nonstop group chats, and accidental message mishaps, digital chaos can easily sneak into our festive joy. And let’s be honest... nothing disrupts reunion harmony faster than a phone buzzing every 5 seconds.

This Lunar New Year, protecting your digital peace might just be the new way to invite good fortune.

A Martial Arts Guide… for Your Phone?

To help users stay safe, connected, and stress-free, WhatsApp has introduced “10 Ways to Unlock Luck” (开运秘籍) - a festive digital guide that cleverly reimagines privacy and communication tools through the lens of a traditional martial arts manual. Talk about ancient wisdom… but for surviving group chats, spam calls, and reunion planning chaos.

To bring this playful guide to life, Hong Kong screen icon Jessica Hsuan (宣萱) stars in a festive Instagram Reel, sharing how she uses WhatsApp’s latest features to turn her luck around this season.

🧧 10 Ways to Unlock Your Digital Luck

Here’s how to keep good vibes flowing and misfortune blocked this Lunar New Year:

✨ 1. Visualise Good Fortune

Create a lucky AI profile photo, generate festive visuals, or use AI tools to explore the meanings behind Lunar New Year traditions.

🎥 2. Boost Your Popularity

Go beyond text greetings. Send a 60-second video message or create custom AI stickers to make your wishes unforgettable.

💼 3. Soar to New Heights

Sent a typo to your boss? Edit messages within 15 minutes. Need quick answers on the go? Use voice prompts for instant help.

🛡️ 4. Ward Off Bad Energy

Silence unknown callers, control group invitations, and block suspicious contacts to protect your peace.

🧧 5. Harmony Brings Prosperity

Use polls to avoid reunion planning disputes and pin key messages so everyone stays aligned.

🔐 6. Protect Your Treasure Vault

Lock private chats, send view-once photos, and keep sensitive conversations secure.

📸 7. Preserve Precious Moments

Share HD photos and enhance video calls with filters and backgrounds so everyone looks reunion-ready.

🌏 8. Bridge the Distance

Host group video calls for up to 32 people or share festive highlights instantly through Status updates.

🕊️ 9. Welcome Fresh Beginnings

Enable disappearing messages for added privacy and a clean slate in the new year.

🎉 10. Organise Like a Pro

Use group event planning tools and reminders to keep gatherings smooth and drama-free.

Digital Peace = Modern Prosperity

In today’s hyper-connected world, safeguarding your privacy and managing communication isn’t just about convenience, it’s about preserving harmony, protecting relationships, and keeping festive joy intact.

Because true prosperity isn’t only measured in wealth or luck…

…it’s also found in peaceful conversations, protected boundaries, and stress-free celebrations.

This Year of the Horse, consider this your reminder to welcome abundance not just into your home, but into your digital life too.

Tiger Beer Collaborates With Victo Ngai and DJ Virman from Far East Movement For A Chinese New Year With A Twist

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Chinese New Year is drawing near and it's time to celebrate with friends and families with a toast! What better way to do it than with our Singapore's highly acclaimed Tiger Beer?

Victo Ngai

Usher in the Year of the Horse by bringing to life “新春展鸿图”, symbolising “To Fresh Beginnings”. Tiger Beer commissioned award-winning illustrator, Victo Ngai, who was recently recognised by Forbes as one of the 30 under 30: The Best of Art and Style personalities for 2014, to produce two artworks for the festive season - featuring the iconic Tiger Beer pint bottle and can, each artwork includes different ethnicity and fashion styles, as well as eight hidden horses.

Other than that, there's also the #TigerTwist, a collaboration between Tiger Beer and DJ Virman from Far East Movement.

DJ Virman from Far East Movement.
To put an entertaining twist on the traditions of Chinese New Year, Tiger Beer has collaborated with DJ Virman from internationally acclaimed hip hop group Far East Movement, known for their hits ‘Like A G6’ and ‘Live My Life’. Together with his brother, DJ E-Man, the duo is set to create the world’s first Chinese New Year dance anthem entitled #TigerTwist.

From 7 to 31 January, fans can upload their dance moves to social networks with the hashtag #TigerTwist. The best video submissions will be shortlisted by DJ Virman and DJ E-Man and compiled into a full music video which will be launched on the first day of Chinese New Year, 31 January 2014.

Look out for it on Tiger Beer’s Facebook and YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/tigerbeer). The #TigerTwist track is also available as a free download via SoundCloud (http://bit.ly/tigertwistmp3).

“Chinese New Year marks a fresh and positive start for Tiger Beer and for Singaporeans alike – and we want to usher in new beginnings through a series of celebrations that pack a modern twist. By collaborating with the best talents across music, arts and culture, Tiger Beer is able to extend the festive spirit beyond the traditional sphere to further build a connection with young adults and fans of the brand." --- Mr Rene de Monchy, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore.

Tiger Beer’s Festive Promotions – Chance to Win 1kg Gold Horse worth $70,000

This New Year, a lucky consumer stands to win a 1kg auspicious gold horse worth $70,000 commissioned by Tiger Beer. To qualify for the lucky draw, customers will need to purchase three bottles of Tiger Beer (633ml) and send the horse crown caps to APBS.

Consumers can share a piece of the limited edition artwork by Victo Ngai through the 24-can festive packs sold at all leading retail supermarkets.
