Instant Face Lift With GlamGlow #GLITTERMASK GRAVITYMUD™ Firming Treatment Mask !

Hi Huneybees,

G.L.I.T.T.E.R !

I literally live and breathe all things sparkly just like bee and honey. I can't stop myself from wanting more and when I know the existence of Glitter Mask already hot on our shores, I rushed out to get it - GlamGlow #GLITTERMASK GRAVITYMUD™ Firming Treatment Mask.

The collection features 3 different coloured masks to represent 3 different ponies - Princess Luna, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie. Each glitter mask doing the same function, just that the colour, the fragrance and glitter bits are a bit different.

I've already set my eyes on the Purple Glitter Mask that represent Twilight Sparkle and on the spot, I did a quiz too, well, it was meant to be. If you are not sure which one to get, click the pic above to go to the quiz and perhaps that will help you decide.

I did a video review of using the GlamGlow #GLITTERMASK GRAVITYMUD™ Firming Treatment Mask in Purple Glitter. Below is the video, see the magic of firmed and moisturized skin unfolds...

After the mask application, I feel that my skin looks more refreshed, brighter and tighter. When I was doing the video, I didn't notice the difference, it was only when I was looking back at the photos and pieced these 2 together then I noticed, my face was more lifted, not so rounded and even the double chin is less obvious! And that's achieved by just 1 use, now you know why I love GlamGlow so much!

So, there you have it, that's my review of

The next one I wana try is the GlamGlow x Sonic the Hedgehog Mask, I wonder if it will be launched in Singapore... For now, I'll just stick to my MLP Glitter Mask. GlamGlow is available in Sephora stores islandwidde, do share what you think of the mask if you've bought it...

Melt The Heat Away With Leeu SG's Merlion Ice Pop

Hi Huneybees,

When it comes to Singapore representing food, one might think of Laksa and Hainan Chicken Rice, now we have a new iconic dessert to call as ours too! Something to cool down in the sweltering warmth comes the Merlion Ice Pop and Esplanade Ice Cream by Leeu SG.

So, the Merlion Ice Pop (S$4.80), is endorsed by the Singapore Tourism Board (Of course right?!) and just as its name is a patriotic Merlion shaped strawberry and vanilla-flavored ice cream on a popsicle stick. It is not overwhelmingly sweet and reminds me a lot of strawberry cheesecake slurpie style!

My favourite ice cream would be the Esplanade Ice Cream (S$11.80), inspired by Singapore's durian shaped building - The Esplanade, where Leeu SG resides. Instead of being on a popsicle stick, this special ice cream comes in a pie crust base and it's made from fresh durian and shaped like one too!

Leeu SG - which means “lion” in the South African language of Afrikaans is the baby of husband-and-wife team of Jenn Wei Yeo and Valerie Liu. Leeu SG's creations are carefully hand-crafted using top-grade ingredients and are made in small batches to ensure quality and consistency throughout.

Aside from the 2 mentioned signature items, another eye-catching item on the menu is the strikingly pink and blue hued Fish Tail Soft Serve (S$6.80). You can choose from plain or charcoal flavoured taiyaki (fish tail) base - that has mochi inside, making it so chewy and yummy to pair with the soft serve on top. What's special is the blue ice cream. It is made from the trendy health food - Blue Majik. There is a very subtle hint of saltiness, that I find goes well with the sweet, warm fishtail bite base.

If you are looking for some thirst quenchers, Leeu has also a variety of milk or soda-based ice cream floats (S$6.80).

A mini sample version of The Purple Fantasy

The Sentosa Breeze and The Red Dot features fizzy fruity soda base topped with soft serve; The Zouk-Out Cure has a yuzu lemon ginger soda base that can shake that hangover from last night; The Purple Fantasy is a taro smoothie served with the most adorable sprinkles on top of the soft serve, whilst The Old Timer is pandan milk topped with beancurd instead of a soft serve. It definitely brings back loads of childhood memories as well as a ton of Asian flavour.

In celebration of Leeu SG’s official opening, all visitors to the store can enjoy the signature Merlion Ice Pop and Esplanade Ice Cream at promotional prices: the Merlion Ice Pop is available at S$3.80 (U.P. S$4.80); while the Esplanade Ice Cream is available at S$8.80 (U.P. S$11.80). Unicorn floats are also available at $1 with every drink purchased!

Colourful Makeup This Fall With M.A.C x Rossy de Palma Collection

Hi Huneybees,

I've been running around like a busy little bumble bee, that I almost missed this new collection by M.A.C. Inspired by the uniqueness of Spanish actress/model - Rossy de Palma, comes this colorful collection that will definitely paint a rainbow for you this Autumn.

Rossy de Palma’s strikingly unique, Picasso-esque beauty and uninhibited, creative soul has made her one of Spanish art, fashion and cinema’s most original muses and collaborators. Now, her joie de vivre is captured in her M∙A∙C colour collection. Special packaging takes on new meaning with inspiration drawn from Rossy’s romantic glamour, and palettes featuring her eyes, nose and lips come together to form an invincible Cubist vision.

Due to Rossy's striking profile, she has always been known as a "Picasso painting come to life", being the muse of designer Jean Paul Gaultier and acclaimed film director Pedro Almodóvar. Her je ne sais quoi has been captured in this collection with a special holographic packaging that draws attention to her unique style and also a Cubist style reminiscent of her gorgeous features.

So, let's take a look at the collection.

For Lipsticks, there are supposedly 4 shades, but 1 special shade is only available online. What's in stores is Rossy (dirty mauve purple), Self Esteem (bright clean red) and Frenesi (bright red fuchsia).

Other than the individual lipsticks, there is also the Indimenticabile Lip Gloss Trio, where you can play with lip colours, mix and match them for different looks.

Featuring Soft Dream (bright fuchsia pink), Plum Bite (a deep plum) and Velvet Me (cherry red).

For cheeks, they have 2 daring Powder Blush shades - Pink Desire (dirty blue pink) and Red Envy (dirty red) that will give your cheeks that pop of colour whilst complimenting the eyeshadow shades in the collection.

To achieve those high cheeks and nose bridge, there is the Nose Pose Cream Colour Base Duo. Featuring Africa Dream (soft yellow nude) and Morocco (soft warm chocolate). It is a cream base, so I wasn't very keen on this palette though, but the shade works great for light to medium tan skin tones.

Here's the highlight - Colours on the Verge Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow. There are 5 shades in this palette and I'm loving every single one!

Pinky (bright pink), Money (soft green with pearl), Deep (dark blackened navy), Charcoal (black with multi-colored pearl) and Smoke (soft lilac).

The other eyeshadow palette is the My Moon Eyeshadow Duo, that features Luna Llena (frosty white) and Luna Noire (matte black).

Luna Llena makes a good highlighting shade and I use Luna Noire for eyeliner too!

Lastly, we have the Glitters that are definitely party ready. Get them either in - Red (vibrant shimmering red) or Reflects Turquatic (sparkling bright blue that's so mermaid inspiring)!

So, which ones are you eyeing on? Be ready to channel your inner chic Spanish actress and indulge in this sophisticated, bold collection this Fall. 💋

Wait! That's Dessert by Cake Avenue?!

Hi Huneybees,

My mummy always say don't play with food, but what I'm gona introduce to you will definitely make you break all those rules and get your mind blown far far away! It's the latest buzz, it's colourful and playful and what you see may not be what you think it is!

Birthed by Cake Avenue’s head pastry Chef E.T. Yew, 35, a cheeky dessert menu of 6 American diner food is here to play on your senses and shows off his creativity, playfulness and craftsmanship as an accomplished patissier. Cake Avenue was founded by Natalie and Chuang Sheng Wong in 2000 and in line with its 17th anniversary, the shop has launched these new dessert items to celebrate its milestone year.

“Cake Avenue has always been a place where customers can come to have fun with their desserts. We’ve made birthday cakes that were designed to look like Bak Chor Mee, and anniversary cakes that look like branded bags…your eyes see one thing, yet your taste buds register another." --- Chef E.T. Yew

These may look like your usual run-of-the-mill dishes like burger sliders with fries, but look closely, they are desserts! Made to look like but taste totally a world difference. Let me introduce them to you one by one...

Alphabet Soup (S$8.90)

Don't this bowl just reminds you of the Campbell's tomato ABC macaroni soup you used to have as a child; picking out the letters trying to form words with?

Well, this dessert almost got me doing that as I dug in, only to find a layer of sweet milk agar and rose jelly on top of a delicious creamy lychee mousse with chunks of lychee and raspberry. I wasn't ready to share this refreshing summer ready dessert and definitely will be back for seconds.

Diner Sliders & Fries (S$15.90)

Served cold, 2 ‘Sliders’ with Dark Chocolate Ice Cream ‘patties’ between Vanilla Cake Buns comes with Cake Fries that taste like rusk biscuits. So much details have been put into consideration, there's even Passion Fruit ‘Mustard’ and Raspberry ‘Ketchup’ layered within like a real burger, pairing the sweetness of the ice cream with the sourness of these fruits to make the perfect dessert.

Choose the amount of sauce by squeezing them on your Cake Fries and if you want more, the Cake Fries are also available on its own for S$8.90.

The Great Con Dog (S$8.90)

Playing the pun on the Carnival favourite - The Corn Dog, comes Cake Avenue's rendition of warm sweet corn custard encased in a crunchy breaded exterior.

Have it whilst it's still warm and pair every bite with the side scoop of the pairing Vanilla Ice Cream with fresh Strawberries for that tantalizing play on your tongue.

Nachos Dulces (S$12.90)

Dessert is meant to be shared with loved ones and this is also made so with the Nachos Dulces, a twist to the tex mex favourite that is good for a couple or 2 BFFs. The dish consists of crispy Flatbread Nachos, topped with Chocolate Mousse 'refried beans', Strawberry Compote 'salsa', Julienned Peach 'cheese' and Pistachio Ice Cream 'guacamole'. I'm definitely liking this version of nachos whilst catching my favourite NetFlix movie, you hvae got to try it!

Lava Pops (S$8.90)

Even the popular crunchy meatballs get a cakepop twist as meatball-sized portions of warm red velvet cake is wrapped with a crunchy breaded exterior. I can't resist popping these guys into my mouth, another plate please! ;P

One bite and your mouth will be filled with molten Vanilla Cream Cheese Filling.

Unicorn Drinks (S$7.90)

UNICORN LOVERS! Don't miss this super adorable and yummylicious milkshakes! Each embellished with a Meringue Unicorn Horn and Marshmallow Ears, there are 3 flavours to choose from - Blush Unicorn (Strawberry Ice Cream blended with milk) , Matcha Unicorn (Vanilla Ice Cream blended with Matcha Powder and milk) and Sunshine Unicorn (Vanilla Ice Cream blended with Mango Puree and milk).

Cake Avenue’s dessert menu has launched on 1 September 2017 and the cafe also serves Western Cuisine to pair with your desserts. Go grab your friends and family and have some fun on your taste buds this weekend! Do check out their amazing 3D cakes too!
