As Orchard Road lights up for the festive season, more and more events pop up for everyone to soak up the fun. Right at the heart of the shopping district comes PLAYfiesta SG 2022, a first-in-Singapore event organized by Stellar Ace, Singapore’s largest local Out Of Home (OOH) media company.
Officially launched by Ms. Low Yen Ling - Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, locals and tourists alike can look forward to tonnes of fun with zones of Augmented Reality (AR) games, live performances, and a twinkling bazaar of local food and retail products.
The concept behind PLAYfiesta SG is anchored on “Play” as one of the key touchpoints of Stellar Ace’s Home-Travel-Eat-Shop-Play ecosystem, with its WINK+ app and lovable influencers, Gamer Bluey, Chef Reddy, Cashie Greeny and Shopper Pinky who will “host” PLAYfiesta SG.
PLAYfiesta SG 2022 starts from 25 Nov to 4 Dec at 37 Emerald Hill. It's nice to escape the hustle and bustle from the Christmas shopping crowd and go have some fun at the conserved Singapore Chinese Girls' School grounds; feels a little like taking the recess time break back in school days.
Stepping into the event grounds, you will find the stage with some Food and Retail stalls (featuring Singapore Made With Passion brands) surrounding it. Enjoy a little beer and snacks whilst enjoying the non-stop line-up of live performances by local musicians (such as RRILEY, and Glenn Yong), DJs, and stand-up comedians.
Look out for Christmas Carolling, Fitness Hours (Zumba, Power Yoga, HIIT, for you to enjoy a rejuvenating workout session with your friends & family), as well as movie screenings of Puss in Boots and Shrek, with mascot appearances and prizes to win!
The highlight would be the virtual reality gaming zone - "The Mirror World". You will step into eight imaginative game worlds developed by REVEZ Motion (a local award-winning Creative Tech provider) to learn more about environmental sustainability, how to avoid online scams, and what the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) art buzz is about.
This AR game experience for the young and old will spark the competitive streak in you as it stretches your imagination and transports you into an alternate universe to survive and thrive.
