We Got Super Soakin' Wet At Hong Kong Disneyland

Here is the promised post about the GREAT FUN I have had at "Carnivale of Stars" at Hong Kong Disneyland following my previous post about my planned trip there recently! 

With so much to share with my Huneybees, I have decided to spend some time to create a video (and hence the delay of this post...) that best described my experience instead. In this video, I will share some pre-trip tips, the top (THREE) 3  MUST-SEE highlights that you shouldn't miss as well as the things you should try and buy while you were there!

I hope my Huneybees will like this video that I have created. To complete the magic summer "Carnivale of Stars" experience, I would suggest that you stay in one of the three Hong Kong Disneyland hotels next to the theme park so that you could travel there earlier to beat the queues for the popular rides or the meet-and-greet sessions. It is the same reason why you should avoid the peak hour traffic when you take MTR back to the airport.

With so many cheap flight promotions, from budget airlines like Scoot to full-fledged service carriers like Cathay Pacific, over this summer period, I would highly recommend Huneybees to take some time off next two weekends to visit the "Carnivale of Stars" at Hong Kong Disneyland before it ends on 2nd September 2018.

Looking Forward To A Brand-New Fun This Summer At Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!

Hi Huneybees,

If you are as passionate as yours truly Queen Bee and me about the world of Disney cartoons and its characters, you must check out the “Carnivale of Stars” at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL), happening from 21st June through 2nd September 2018!

With air tickets purchased and luggage packed, we are so looking forward to chill out with Moana, Mickey and other Disney friends while experiencing a rich line-up of excitement day and night, like the all-new atmosphere stage show “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration,” the “We Love Mickey!” Projection Show, and a new African-style Karibuni Marketplace.

On top of our to-do list shall be the live “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” atmosphere stage show, which has just been launched and is the first attraction of the resort’s current multi-year expansion. The show will include an entirely new exotic outdoor venue, Jungle Junction, in Adventureland, the storytelling of Moana's oceanic voyages, as well as an opportunity to meet-and-greets with Moana in person!

With the debut of Karibuni Marketplace, we are hoping to immerse ourselves in the lively colors, sights and sounds of Africa, enjoy special snacks and meet with beloved Disney characters including Carl and Russell from Up, Judy and Nick from Zootopia, King Louie and Baloo from The Jungle Book, Rafiki and Timon from The Lion King, Princess Jasmine and Genie from Aladdin and Lilo and Stitch!

The cute Cookie is the latest additional to Duffy and Friends at HongKong Disneyland Resort!

Not forgetting the all-new “We Love Mickey!” Projection Show where Minnie Mouse and her pals are inviting Huneybees to a surprise party for Mickey Mouse as part of Disney’s all-new “We Love Mickey!” Projection Show each evening.

Other key highlights at the Carnivale of Stars include the first-ever “Pixar Water Play Street Party!” and meet The Incredibles! where Huneybees can join Mr. and Mrs. Incredible from The Incredibles; Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their pals from Toy Story, along with other Disney∙Pixar stars in this water soaking celebration.

With so many new and exciting fun happening this summer at HKDL, there is no better way to complete the magical Disney experience than to stay in one of the three hotels in the resort, especially with new hotel services and exclusive hotel offers targeting Singaporean visitors.

Join Creator Of We Bare Bears In Creating Your Own Animation!

Hi Huneybees,

ARE YOU A FAN OF WE BARE BEARS TOO?! Yes! The creator of Ice Bear, Grizzly and Pan Pan will be in Singapore this April to share more on his animation journey, some tips for budding animators, and his motivation behind his successful Cartoon Network animation series! 

If you are a budding animator and am interested in joining Mr. Daniel Chong, Creator and Executive Producer of We Bare Bears, in a two-day animation workshop, be sure to read on!

Cartoon Network has announced its partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) for 'Imagination Studios' for a two-day animation workshop. The industry workshop for adults will be held on Friday, 21 April while a workshop for children will take place on Saturday, 22 April.

Workshop attendees will be introduced to animation and get to speak to the experts on the behind-the-scenes of creating a successful animated series. They also will receive the golden opportunity to have their animation work shown on Cartoon Network!

The workshops will be held at PIXEL Studios, a dedicated facility launched by IMDA last year to spur Singapore’s next generation of digital content creators. Both events will be fronted by the talented animator, Daniel Chong.

After building a successful career in Burbank, California, Daniel will speak about his journey as an artist and the process behind creating one of the hottest new animated series.

Those attending the industry workshop will also hear from a number of animation professionals from Turner and leading studios who will each provide insight into how to conceptualize, refine and pitch an idea. You will also be given the opportunity to submit your own animation idea to Turner which, if selected, could be fully funded and produced by Cartoon Network in partnership with IMDA. The project will also be screened on Cartoon Network across Asia!

As for the kids’ workshop, it will be open to all participants aged between 9 and 13, and aims to introduce children to the wonderful world of animation. Through hands on and group sessions, kids will learn how to create their very own stop animation video in a fun and active environment. The session will be conducted by Vaibhav Kumarev, director of Vaibhav Studios in India, and creator of Cartoon Network shorts, Lamput.

[Get The Look] Transform Into Mavis Dracula & Sadness With Blue Contact Lens

Hi Huneybees,

It's Friday and this weekend, I bet you will be out dressing up for Halloween! But if you have been a busy Huneybee and haven't had the time to go get your costumes, your Queen Bee here have a tips for those last minute, fast and simple to get ready look for your Halloween party.

I'm wearing the FreshKon Colors Fusion - Glittering Blue Contact Lens

With just a pair of blue contact lens, I have 2 looks all ready for you to wow your friends with ~~~

Look 1 - Sadness From Inside Out

With costumes for Halloween getting sexier and more revealing, it's really a stressful time for the plus size girls like me. Luckily for us and all thanks to Disney and Pixar, we can finally have a character to portray and enjoy a great time out!

Yes, this is non-other than Sadness from Inside Out! 

Working with the blue contact lens in hand, you simply just have to get your makeup done with a blue theme in mind. Then, side sweep a blue bob wig, big round frames, white knitted sweater, jeans and blur bedroom slippers, you are set to go out with your inspired Sadness look.

Just a side note though, it might be too warm in Singapore to wear a sweater. So, be sure to stay in a nice chilled area to party the night away ~

Look 2 - Mavis Dracula From Hotel Transylvania 

This is a character I fell in love with the first time I saw her on screen. I've always had a thing for vampires, so seeing one who is headstrong, independent, curious and always ready to explore and try new things characteristics, I knew I have found a cartoon alter ego of me!

For makeup, you just have to do soft grey smokey eyes and rim them in jet black eyeliner. Lightly sweep some mascara on, give yourself black eyebrows and peach blusher. The most important one is to have the black lipstick, and black nails. That's like Mavis's signature!

The rest is pretty simple then. Put on fake vampire teeth and if you already have short black hair with bangs, you can skip getting a wig. (Good for you!), if not go get a short black wig, make sure there is bangs, if not you would have to give your wig a haircut trim too.

Pair that with black turtle neck short sleeve dress, black gloves, red and black striped stockings together with red high cut Converse-eques sneakers, you are set to go find your very own Jonathan Locker!

Top 5 Things You Need to Know About The New Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition!

Being a Disney and Star Wars fans since young, I always take every opportunity possible to see my favorite cartoon and Sci Fi characters such as Eeyore, Minnie Mouse, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and many more! 

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm literally in a freaking SANDCRAWLER!!!!!!

With the Force "Awakening" at the end of this year, SW fans like me will be stoked as more and more related products are been launched. One such moment was as recent as last week when I received an invitation to visit the Sandcrawler Theatre @ 1 Fusionopolis View by Disney Interactive for a game launch this week!!

 

I must complement Disney Interactive for taking no effect to fly Jason Moffitt, the Producer for Disney Infintity,  all the way from Los Angeles to Singapore (over 20 hours of flight time) to unveil its most ambitious gaming initiative to date - Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition! YES! Star Wars characters have been added to one of the best mash-up games of our era! 

For Huneybees who are not familiar with  Disney Infinity, this is an incredible game platform that unlocks limitless freedom to create stories and play experiences starring beloved characters from The Walt Disney Company and Pixar Animation Studios. 

By integrating collectible character figures with game console, Disney Infinity not only makes these figures come to life in the game but also brings the opportunity for the players to put characters from various Disney and Pixar films to play together in a virtual “Toy Box”, hence allowing players to both experience original adventures in some of their favorite Disney and Pixar worlds or to build their own worlds using the power of their imagination.

This Play Set is set in the timeline of the original trilogy and will send you piloting X-Wing Fighters and the Millennium Falcon to planets like Tatooine, Hoth, and Endor.

So far, at the D23, we have already seen the annoucement of Rey and Finn from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so these 2 will definitely be in the 3rd installment of the Star Wars Playset.

#2 – TRON characters Sam Flynn and Quorra will be available as physical figures at the release of Disney Infinity 3.0! 

Need me to say more for fans of the American science fiction film TRON? Instead of the two leads making special appearances in the previous version, you can now use them as your gameplay character!

  

#3 – Disney Infinity 3.0 will include more Disney characters and MARVEL too !

There will be a Play Set based on Disney•Pixar’s upcoming film Inside Out featuring all five Emotions Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger, and Disgust as playable characters. Fan-favorite characters Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, and Olaf will also be joining Toy Box 3.0. Yay!

From the Marvel Universe, there will be a MARVEL Play Set (to be announced later!), along with more MARVEL characters including Hulkbuster Iron Man and Ultron.

Toy Box Expansion Games Toy Box Takeover (action-adventure) and Toy Box Speedway (kart racing) will bring all-new, structured multiplayer gameplay to Toy Box 3.0. Eg: You and your friend might be racing on the same track world, but you both might end up on different layers of the track, so it brings different experiences everytime u race. :)

#5 – Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Starter Pack will be on sales for a lower suggested retail price of SGD99.99.

Enrol For Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” This 20 June !

Woohoo! Monsters University begins its enrollment on 20 June 2013. Mike and Sulley are back with more monsters and this time we get to see how it all started! It's always fun to see younger photos of celebrities, so  I wonder what funny things will happen when we get to see the younger monsters in Uni,  picking up scaring skills.

Being the avid fan of Disney and Pixar, all their animations always get me excited! I remember watching Monsters Inc, laughing and tearing up at the cinema, with Mike leaving the deepest impression on me. I wonder this time round what other jokes he's gona pull (other than the disco ball joke)...

Moreover, have you seen the trailer to The Blue Umbrella? As usual, all Disney Pixar movies comes with a little animation right before the movie. This time, it's all about a blue umbrella meeting a red one. I wonder if it will be a love story? I can't wait to catch both the short clip and the movie!!!

Tomorrow Is The LAST Day For UT POP-UP! Singapore

Hi Huneybees,

Last night, at the preview of UNIQLO's UT POP-UP! Singapore, hundreds of guests from media, corporate partners, VIP guests as well as Noise Singapore's artists and fans turned up for a fulfilled eyeing of fashion and music.

Upon stepping into 72-13 (Mohamed Sultan Road), there was a huge installation right in the middle of the hall, exhibiting over 1000 UTs (Uniqlo T-shirts) in 400 designs. I would imagine that would be how my wardrobe looks like if I were to put them up piece by piece like that. Maybe I should have my own fashion exhibit too! LOL!

And at the bottom of the installation was a preview of the UTs that you can find or about to find in the UNIQLO stores.  Of course, not to be missed would be the Hello Kitty and Disney ones...

Make-up maestro - Clarence Lee was making his "decisions"....

Guests also had fun posing at the UT Camera Booth, where their animated photos were then projected live as well as uploaded on the global UT website. Go crazy, gather your friends and have fum like them....

Don't forget to head on to level 2 to bring home some UTs. There's a wide selection of UTs available for sale from $16.90, while special t-shirt designs by local designers from Noise Singapore were displayed for purchase at $15 each. I got myself a couple and all I can tell you is, it's SHOPPING TIME!!!
