Everyone's Flipping To FLiPTV Asia, Why Not You?

Straight after the New Year, I've been mad crazy with my overseas trips and packing my house in preparation for the Lunar New Year. I haven't been updating much also coz I've been watching some new interesting updates on FLiPTV Asia before heading to bed.

FLiPTV Asia is a brand new online video magazine showcasing the latest contemporary trends in Fashion, Lifestyle, Ideas and Performances. Hosted by Marcus AC, Ashleigh Martin (SUPERMODELME Femme Fatale) and Sandra Riley Tang (The Sam Willows), each helms the FLiP Style, FLiP Living and FLiP Music respectively.

Other than getting updates on the latest music on goings, I also got to know some interesting food hunts as well as seeing Ashleigh Martin's figure, it's hard not to want to rush to the gym immediately. It's pretty much my motivation these days!

Of course, my favourite has got to be the FLiP Style section where Marcus introduces the hottest fashion and beauty trends. There's also interviews with fashionista-s like Bryan Boy, Jeannie Mai, Lisa S, etc. I loved watching the quick-fire session with Daniel Wu one though. Who doesn't like a charming guy on screen eh?

Getting Fashion Tips from LOLToggle

Hi Huneybees,

Last week, I had the chance to join the LOL Talk Show filming again. And this time's filming is all about fashion!

Marcus AC had his special guest - Sharon Lim, the Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Singapore. She has her 20 years’ of extensive experience in newspaper and magazine work. Imagine my R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for her! She's totally holding my dream job! 

A little something I Googled on Sharon for you...

She is no stranger to ELLE — she joined as a Features Writer in 1993 when it launched in Singapore, and was the magazine’s Deputy Editor from 1996 to 1999. 

Helming ELLE since October 2004, Sharon’s vision of ELLE taps into the city’s dynamic, progressive buzz without forgetting its strong Asian roots. The result is a sexy, stylish and spirited ELLE that is uniquely Singaporean and supportive of local talent — yet undeniably global in its outlook. 

Sharon is also a regular face on TV and radio. She has appeared on Channel News Asia, the regional English-language news TV channel where she is a featured expert on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and women’s issues. She can also be heard on The ELLE Beauty Spot, a segment on all things beauty-related on Class 95, Singapore’s top radio station.

In addition, Sharon has written occasional columns for TODAY, a free daily newspaper published by MediaCorp, the publisher of ELLE in Singapore and as a pop culture addict, Sharon’s personal projects include a movie script, book project and mentoring teenagers interested in the fashion business — Sharon has been a board member of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts’ (NAFA) fashion faculty since 2006.

Sharon had just came back from Paris Fashion Week and she already learnt about the upcoming Fall/Winter fashion trends. Something that she said really inspired me. As long as we have the confidence, even pairing checkers with flowers prints can be a fashion style too. You have to own the clothes!

Sharon shared that the fashion scene now sees alot of people holding tablet sleeves as bags. Either coz they do have a tablet inside or it works as a clutch as well. Big bags are a disadvantage when attending fashion shows.

These high cut sneakers are also a must have for this season, and to be specific is those with platform base or a hidden elevated sole for the sporty on the go look, but with hidden height to lengthen your legs. These are some of the little tips. Be sure to catch LOLToggle for more...

Thank you Sharon, And then, we had Linda Teo, Managing Director of Carrie Models International and Carrie Elegance. 

The lady behind the making of alot of local famous models, Vivien Ong for example.

Linda brought along a contestant of the Toggle Network six part reality series, ‘Models Reinvented’ to share with us more about modelling and psst, she's on the lookout for models who are in the range of 35 years old!

Linda was so inspiring, telling us girls all about empowerment and it all boils down to confidence. A girl really has to love herself, gain confidence and naturally you can be a "model" too! You really must watch this episode! Linda is simply so adorable and of course with Judee, the show's hilarious!

 And last but not least, we had Siti Zahidah for a short interview and she then performed her popular song "Far Away" for us. She was the "Champion of 987fm The Next Big Thing" and I'm a secret fan of her. You got to hear her voice to believe me...

All Time Low, Chua En Lai & Hossan Leong at LOL Toggle Recording

LOL is a new interesting and awesome ladies talk show is currently in town. Yes,  it's short for  "Laugh Out Loud" and that's what the show promises. One awesome hilarious talk show that  is guaranteed to make you laugh throughout the show.

I was recently at the LOL Talk Show recording. This program is by Mediacorp and it will be shown on Toggle, an entertainment service that allows you to get entertainment  information and news across multiple platforms like iPad, iPhone and Android Devices.

Toggle is an interactive service that goes beyond the television set, bringing entertainment, lifestyle tips, news and information to viewers across multiple devices. The service will be available online, on smart phones, tablets and connected TVs, allowing viewers to stay engaged wherever they are.

The highlight for that night's show would have to be the heart throb boys of All Time Low #AllTimeLow. Fans were crowding outside screaming as well as the lucky few who got in for the show. The boys performed a couple of their popular songs and sat down with the host Judee Tan as well as her BFF, Marcus AC for a quick chat.

The boys were so cheeky and started playing while chatting on the show and they even proposed to Judee, making her melt right on the spot...

The other highlight of the show were the local guests - Chua En Lai and Hossan Leong! (I was there for them. Come on! They are hilarious!).

The 3 of them started with a toast and it was like a friends gathering rather than a talk show. We as the audience had super lots of fun hearing them joke and seriously, my cheek muscles were super sore after the show...

Why was Hossan so intrigued by a $2 note? Watch LOL!

And last but not least, is the section by Marcus himself, sharing beauty, fashion tips for all ladies out there. For this episode, they were introducing face masks from My Beauty Dairy and their ambassador Grace Tan was there to share her beauty tips too!
