Pump Up Your Adrenaline With The First-ever Star Wars Orchestra In Singapore Before The Premiere Of The Last Jedi On 15th December 2017!

The worldwide screening of the much anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi , the second film of the sequel trilogy, is just weeks away and to pump up the excitement among millions of Star Was fans around the region, Disney Concert has brought the first-ever official Star Wars concert to Singapore and I am so happy to have the opportunity to catch part of the closed door dress rehearsal as well as an interview with orchestra conductor Nicholas Buc.

A passionate music and film enthusiast, Nicholas Buc is one of few conductors in the world that is specialized in bring music and film into Live concert setting as this requires very specific and unique style of conducting to synchronize the music with the picture.

Nicholas has a little video screen in front of him while he conducts so that he could have the visual reference points to make sure that the music hits the right moment with the picture, such as when Kylo Ren strikes with his crossguard lightsaber or a TIE Fighters chasing after the millennium falcon.

With 8 years of experience under his sleeve since started conducting his first film concert - Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock - Nicholas is a big Star Wars fan and picks Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) as his favorite character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens for her strong character and her teeth!

If he has it his way, you might be able to catch him doning a stormtrooper suit and conducting in his favourite green lightsaber in exchange for his conductor suit and baton at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens concert that runs from 29th to 31st October 2017 at Esplanade Theatre in Singapore.

Indulge and Have Fun In The Inaugural Magnum Infinity Playground

Welcome to the MAGNUM Infinity Playground, where you can relive your childhood playground fun amongst the bright rainbow colours. Come on in for the Magnum pleasure!

Walking through this tunnel filled with chocolate fog, is as though I was being transported into Willy Wonka's factory, what lies beyond is definitely beyond imagination with tons of chocolate and caramel fun!

Right over the other end of the tunnel, I was brought right into Orgo Restaurant & Bar right at Esplanade's Rooftop Terrace. Bright lights and stunning, gorgeous people were there for the grand opening of the Magnum Infinity Playground. Pyrotechnics, smoke machines, fireworks and confetti were all used for this celebratory moment!

All to celebrate the launch of the new Magnum Infnity Ice Creams that are made from a rare source of naturally rich Tarzanian cocoa that produces intense premium dark chocolate. They are available in 2 indulging flavours and sizes - Classic sized Chocolate and Caramel and the Chocolate Mini, both combined with irresistible chocolate ice cream covered in crackling dark chocolate and real cocoa nibs!

Standing at 4m high, I was brought way high above ground on a rainbow Infinity Skyline Swing that allowed me to take up the Singapore city skyline from a different point of view. As you swing, lights on the ropes will cleverly illuminate, creating the effect of an infinity symbol!

But if you want to get the rush going, go on up the 6m tall Infinity Slide for a quick ride down the slide! I bet you will be going back for seconds as you race down that rainbow lit, infinity patterned slide in the larger-than-life Magnum Infinity wrapper!

This is all part of Bompas & Parr's idea to bring pleasure seekers on a journey of heightened senses and intense thrills designed to set dopamine flowing, whilst bringing us back to our childhood, when it was a time when fun and ice cream were inextricably linked!

And if you want to take a breather, pop on over to the Magnum Infinity Tasting Room to enjoy those tasty treats by Orgo Restaurant & Bar, enjoy some sweet treats before you pop by the Infinity Chocolate Fountain Fog, to be enveloped by the delicious aroma of the Tanzanian cocoa!

And before you leave, don't forget to pop into the Infinity Mirror Room for that disco dancing moment and be sure to snap more selfies and wefies with your friends and buddies!

Shower Mummy Dearest With Some Chocz

Everyone loves chocolate! They make you so happy after eating and definitely something to sweeten the day for you! I was invited to Chocz for a chocolatey sharing time with their Director - Benny Chua.

Well, this is how cocoa beans look like.

Chocz started out as a retail concept selling gourmet chocolates in Singapore back in 2001. The company then ventured into the Malaysia market in 2003 and started their very first chocolate cafe and boutique. Then in 2005, they launched the chocolate production house in Singapore, converting their retail outlets into chocolate cafes and boutiques.

Here at Chocz, you get fine chocolate unlike those ready-in-stores type. They have paired up with renowned Swiss Master Chocolatier - Mr Reto Marzari, to produce European Standard Chocolates. You can get these gourmet chocolates from the fridge, which comes in special packages.

Or you can drop by the store, chill out with your friends, have a meeting here with your colleagues or even catch Benny to tap on his brains on his insight of chocolates. He shared so much with us during the session, chocolates are like fine wines and only with a minimum of 70% cocoa, it is then deemed as healthy chocolate...

During our little sharing session, we got to try some of their specialty and to get us started was their Chocpocino. It is made of delicious dark bittersweet chocolate melted down into a drink topped with frothy milk and cocoa powder.

The cup is specially designed without a handle because it can be so cold in Europe and you can simply warm your hands by wrapping around the cup, then have small sips of the hot chocolate drink through the little tip. This is why the drink is a top favourite in Europe.

The second one is non other than the all time favourite - Chocolate Fondue. The chocolate is melted in a caquelon over the flame and you can choose to have the milk chocolate or the dark chocolate version depending on your liking. With the array of fruits, you don't feel that sinful after that and according to Benny, they might introduced seasonal fruits as well!

This is definitely a dish to have when having good times with friends and families.

The last one is their top selling Chocolate Truffle Cake. Delicious layered chocolate cake filled with quality bitter-sweet chocolate ganache and finished with a smooth chocolate coating, topped with a chocolate truffle, to satisfy all your chocolate cravings!

And with Mother's Day approaching, what better way than to treat her with a lovely heart-shaped Chocolate Truffle cake?! I bet everyone will be licking their plates off!
