Flashback : MAYDAY (五月天) Concert At 2014 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

Hi Huneybees,

SINGAPORE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX by SINGAPORE AIRLINES may be over but the ultra-high energy performance by MAYDAY (五月天), in front of 40,000 fans at Padang on Day 1 of the race, still replays vividly inside my mind.

Announced by Ashin (陳信宏) “Treat this as a large-scale Mayday concert”, the band performed hits after hits from  JUMP, DNA to 恋爱ing to the delight of the fans who had started queuing for the best spot to catch the band as early as 3pm as witnessed by Monster (溫尚翊).

Here are some flashback pictures that I captured during the concert.

 

Apart from making the fans dancing and singing along to their songs, MAYDAY (五月天) also created a Laugh Out Loud moment when Guitarist Stone (石錦航) attempted to speak in (broken) English: “We are really exciting today because there’s a great race there.”

Mid-way through the 100 minutes concert, the band slowed down the tempo a little by making a request to switch off the lighting around the stage while asking all fans to switched on their handphones to create a beautiful starry backdrop before the band performed their ballad 星空. That was certainly the most memorable moment of concert in my opinion!

 

As echoed by Ashin (陳信宏) at one point during the band's performance “Do you miss Mayday a little? After we finish all our songs, you will miss us even more", I could not wait for their 9th studio album to be released!

KPop Stars Galore At The “YG Family 2014 GALAXY Tour: POWER IN SINGAPORE” Press Conference Presented By Samsung

Hi Huneybees,

For those lucky fans who have purchased "YG Family 2014 GALAXY Tour: POWER in Singapore" concerts for 13 or/and 14 September, congratulation as you have been entertained by some of the hottest names in the K-pop industry: BIGBANG, PSY, 2NE1, Epik High and YG Entertainment's highly anticipated new boy band, WINNER!

For those who was not as lucky to attend the only Southeast Asia stop of this tour, don't be sad, Huney'Z World was at the press conference to bring you some of the up close and personal photos taken during the session.

It's unfortunate to learn that Big Bang member Seungri could not attend the press conference with the rest of the band as he was involved in a car accident just hours before they were due to fly to Singapore. Fortunately he did not suffer any major injuries but his presence was definitely missed as evidence when the rest of the member of BIG BANG entered solemnly into the press conference.

Nevertheless the session quickly turned lighthearted when the artists were asked various questions submitted earlier by the media.

One such instance was when Big Bang was asked which artist inspires them, TOP answered, “WINNER. They inspire us because they are winners."

My favorite moment was when 2NE1 member Dara mentioned that she would like to do some acting but when suggested by TOP to do a teary scene on the spot, she boldly said that instead of a crying scene, she would rather do a kissing scene and would choose Epik High’s Mithra Jin to be her partner. This prompted Tablo to chant, “Right now!”

Throughout the session, the artistes constantly outdo each other by taking selfies with the latest Samsung mobile phones issued to them.

Aaron Kwok De Showy Masquerade World Tour Live in Concert 2012 郭富城《舞临盛宴》世界巡回演唱会[新加坡站]2012

Aaron Kwok is back in Singapore this September to memorise his fans with his De Showy Masquerade World Tour Live in Concert 2012 - 郭富城《舞临盛宴》世界巡回演唱会[新加坡站]2012.

Back from his 17 performances in Hong Kong, Aaron Kwok (郭富城) will be bring his HK$12 million "Transformer‟ stage ( “变形金刚” 舞台) to Singapore for a one-night only concert on 8th September in Singapore Indoor Stadium. 

According to reports, the HK$12 million "Transformer‟ stage ( “变形金刚” 舞台) could produce six trampolines of different sizes, transformed from the bottom of the stage, allowing Aaron to fly two meters through the air, while performing breathtaking dance moves - the climate of the show!!!

Needless to say, Aaron Kwok (郭富城) took less than three weeks to master the feat, which would normally have taken others at least one to two years to achieve!

Nelly Furtado is coming to Singapore

Hi Huneybees,

Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado will be flying into town on August 14 for a one-night special showcase.

The Grammy Award-winning singer will be performing at The Coliseum at Resorts World Sentosa to promote her brand new album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible’, set for release on 18 September 2012,  for SingTel AMPed customers.
