1 Day, 2 Continents, 30 Hours Of Partying

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Having recently found Singapore’s Fightiest Comic, DARK DOG is “em-bark-ing” on a new adventure, set up to re-invent partying as we know it.

The Longest Day of Fun – will be a 30 hour, round-the-world party, and from 23 September to 26 October 2013, DARK DOG will give participants the chance to win this ultimate prize.

Comprising of three phases, the contest will firstly draw in DARK DOG Facebook fans to submit videos or pictures of themselves partying (partying can be anything that involves participants having fun) with a DARK DOG.

In the second phase, once the top three contests have been nominated through Facebook, the three contestants will be sent to one of three Asian cities to pack in as much as they can in a day. At the end of the day, as part of the final phase, they will fly across the International Date Line to another city, where they will get to relive the entire day and have fun all over again.

With their entire journey documented on Facebook, the contestant with the most number of “Likes” for their fun-filled posts will win tickets to Dark Dog’s Longest Day of Fun.

“The Longest Day of Fun takes partying to a whole new level. It seriously pushes the partying boundaries and we cannot wait to see the crazy and exciting ideas that will be sparked by the participants and their DARK DOG." --- Dinesh Singh, Sales and Marketing Director for Teerath & Company (distributors of Dark Dog).

The contest is open to all Singaporean, Permanent Residents and foreigners residing in Singapore only.

Onboard the World’s Second-Tallest Sailing Ship, Esmeralda

| |
Hi Huneybees,

During the National Day weekend, the World’s Second-Tallest Sailing Ship, Esmeralda (Chilean Navy training ship) docked in Singapore for the 2nd time. It was at Vivocity and I went with my hubby, parents and we brought my cheeky little nephew along .

The night it was berthed, I was just having dinner with hubby, so we kinda went papparazzi while the sailors onboard the ship partied....

It's a cock?

Majestic right? Wait till you see it under sunlight...

Esmeralda is the four-masted barquentine tall ship of the Chilean Navy and currently the second-tallest and longest ship in the world. As part of its 57th voyage around the world, Esmeralda, manned by its 353 crew members docked in Singapore for the second time.

For the next 2 days, Esmeralda was free for public to board and have a feel of what's it like to be on a Navy Ship...
“We are thrilled at being able to provide shoppers and visitors to VivoCity with an exclusive experience on board the majestic Esmeralda, which has visited more than 300 ports worldwide. A tour of the training ship is perfect for an educational family outing or anyone keen to find out about the history of the ship. Visitors will also get to immerse themselves in the heritage and culture of Chile as well as meet and speak with the ship’s crew” --- Mr Chang Yeng Cheong, General Manager of VivoCity.

Commissioned in 1954, The Esmeralda, also known as the ‘White Lady’ has travelled over 60 countries, serving the Chilean Navy as a sail training vessel and an ambassador of Chilean culture to each port it visits. She is the sixth ship to carry the name, which represents one of the most celebrated milestones of Chile’s naval history.

Singapore marked the sixth stop of Esmeralda’s 10-port voyage, which will take 260 days and more than 30,000 nautical miles to complete. She docked in Singapore after departing from Bali, Indonesia, on 29 July and left Singapore for Mumbai, India on 14 August. Esmeralda has a mast height of 48.5 metres and is 113 metres in length.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Thank you Vivocity forhaving such a great event. It was amazing to be onboard a ship so big, learning about a naval ship (psst, hubby used to be in Navy and he shared his stories and knowledge. Yeah) and yes, seeing so many suave guys.

What a cute cook! Thanks for showing us your kitchen! :)
