Spending A Day With Poppy & Branch at DreamWorks TrollsTopia In Universal Studios Singapore

Hi Huneybees,

It was like a dream when I was whisked into the colourful world of Dreamworks Trolls - TrollsTopia! I was joined by Queen Poppy, Branch and all the other Trolls as we sang and danced, and had tons of fun under the glitterific rainbow Hollywood Lagoon stage.

I got this feeling inside my bones
It goes electric, wavey when I turn it on
All through the city, all through my home
We're flying up, no ceiling, when we're in our zone

So where is the magical TrollsTopia? It's in Universal Studios Singapore! The whole of Hollywood Street has been Trolli-fied, bright colours, dancing flowers and bubbles welcome you, as you step into the premise and you will find yourself dancing to the tunes inevitably. 

Trolls merchandises are for sale along the street, the first thing I knew I had to get was the Queen Poppy headband to go with my bright pink makeup. But I thought that was not Trolls enough, I had to do a little more...

To complete my Trolls modification, I also popped by the Trollify Yourself corner where the friendly artists drew my favourite rainbow and Poppy on my arms! You can also opt for face painting for you and your kids amd don't forget to don on the provided DreamWorks Troll wigs for a picture session!

Call me Queen Huneybee! 

Now that I'm Troll-ified, it's time for fun and games! I popped into the disco-ready Glitterpalooza hoping to win some goodies home. 30 secs in this mirror house to pick up rainbow confetti only to realise I was suppose to pick those tickets with wordings on. Why?! Why?! Why am I so obsessed with colours?!

Afterwhich, I went next door to the Hollywood China Arcade and painted in the VR world with Poppy and Branch. With the remote in hand, I drew in 3D with the help of the VR Goggles. There was so many different brush styles to choose from and so many colours, I was simply spoilt for choice! When you are done with your drawing, you can bring it home in a form of keychain or photo print out.

There's also another VR experience - VR Beat Feat where I got to travel to the virtual world of TrollsTopia and 'bash the beats' to the tunes of Trolls movie. "Punching" my arms left and right, it was definitely a work out for me that morning. 

After the "workout", I took a break in Starbucks before joining the Trolls and friends of Hug Time Trio at the Hollywood Lagoon Stage for more song and dance session. It was so much fun, I totally forgot about "being adult", that's the whole idea of going to a theme park right?

Of course, since I was already in USS, I stayed on longer to "travel" to other parts of the park and went on to the other rides. As I was strolling around the magical Far Far Away area, I spotted a little trace of Trolls too!

Depending on your direction, just as you exit Far Far Away or enter from Jurassic Park, there is the Goldilocks restaurant and in there, you can find Biggie's Ice Cream Burrito. 

Shaped like Mr Dingles, this dessert is literally Ben & Jerry's ice cream encased in thick blue cotton candy and when cut open, rainbow sprinkles "burst" out in surprise. It's a little costly, but definitely a must for those sweet tooth and for those who are drying out from the hot weather. :)

Before I left USS, hubby also let me buy home some Trolls merchandise to keep, how can I say no to such a sweet gesture right?

Somewhere in that same store there was a dollar bin full of toys that no one really wanted and had band together like the misfit, offbrand little outsiders they were, not only do they have amazing voices, I must say Fall Out Boy gave the boy bands a run for their money with “Irresistible". And when joined with the dynamic Demi Lovato, I can't stop replaying this song on my playlist! Waka Waka Eh! Shakira is back with another upbeat piece and this time is an adventurous song - Try Everything as she plays a singing gazelle in the upcoming Disney's Zootopia movie. Let's all try something new today!

Jack Garratt - Breathe Life
My definite chillax song of the month. Jack's voice is just so unique and paired with the beats and water ballet dancers in the video. I'm feeling so zen now... He reminds me of a mash up of Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd. Agree?

DubVision - Sweet Harmony

[Get The Look] Oriental Nail Art For Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is drawing near and everyone is busy preparing for it, including myself. Time is running out for me just like Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in "In Time". Every single second counts and here I am to introduce you a super fast and fuss-free way of getting your nails done, looking almost professionally that you can even do it on the eve of Lunar New Year!

I found these water decal nail stickers from P.N.C (S) Traders Pte Ltd in Chinatown (Blk 34 Upper Cross Street, #02-150, 168, Singapore 050034). P.N.C is a nail art lover’s dream, they carry anything and everything you ever need for your nails and at really reasonable prices too. It's my little heaven and do note their opening hours as they close pretty early. More details on their website. 

Ok, back to the nails. Firstly, you have to have a good 2 layers of the base nail colour of your choice. Here I selected a nice nude pink for the decals to fully stand out as though they were drawn directly onto my nails.

Then, after selecting which designs goes on which fingers, I cut each of them up.

Nest, you would need a container and fill it with water (a height where you can fully soak the decal in), as well as a tweezer.

Holding on to a corner of the decal with my tweezer, I fully soak the decal in the water for about 4 seconds, before I lightly slide the decal out of the paper back and paste it onto my nails. 

Set the design while it is still wet and gently pat it dry once you are done. Apply a thin layer of your favourite top coat and you are set to finish off the rest of your nails by repeating the steps.

Simple as A,B,C and in split seconds, you can get all 10 nails "painted" as though you just stepped out of a nail salon. My friends and family loves this design and some of them thought it was really drawn on and they even asked how long it took for me to get all these done!

So there you have it, my little tip and trick to getting your nails done in the comfort of your home. You don't even have to breath in those nail polish fumes and get on a rat race with the Lunar New Year nail salon crowd!

I like that the cleansing bar is not too foamy and after cleansing, my skin feels refreshed. It is very gentle and my skin feels smoother after using. I love it! It is said to heal the skin, I'm looking forward to see its magic, since I've only used it for a week...

The Original version smells like olive and essential oil, very refreshing and relaxing...

Price : 3/5
($46 - $63) per soap. The price is pretty steep. But the fact that it is carefully made and the process of controlled cooking, with ingredients being added at different moments to accomplish the best result, makes it a little more precious...

Overall : 3.5 /5
I like it, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and smooth, however, the pricing will make me think twice before getting it.

Sony Uphoria - Mike Posner

Hi Huneybees,

It was pouring on Saturday, but no one can stop Mike Posner and Train fans from turning up at the Sony Uphoria event. A huge tent at the back of *Scape was erected and sweet people of Sony had umbrellas ready for us to pick us up from Curious Teepee and the whole place inside was air-conditioned, so that we don't get too "heat up" in there....

We got to play with the Sony Tablet. Really neat gadget, love the elevated feature.

Was there with the babes, Peiyun and Michelle. Valentine got delayed by rain.

I'm a proud Sony Ericsson, Android owner, how can I miss out a pic with the Android Bot.

Spot any stars? I even got the chance to take a pic with the host, Oli Pettigrew. Cute right? Peiyun said he reminded her of Stephen Gately.

Check out the crowd! Everyone got there early to 'chope' their seats....

Just in case you are asking me who is Mike Posner? Read this: Michael Robert "Mike" Posner (born February 12, 1988) is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. Posner released his debut album, 31 Minutes to Takeoff, on August 10, 2010. The album includes the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 single "Cooler Than Me," his second single, "Please Don't Go," as well as his third single, "Bow Chicka Wow Wow" featuring Lil Wayne.

 Ok, enough blabbling, let's welcome MIKE POSNER!

The opening number was a "Baby Please Don't Go" followed by "Cheated". He's energy was amazing! The moment he stepped onto the stage, he had fans screaming at the top of their voices and it didn't stop at all! I literally went temporary deaf there. All his songs were so catchy, everyone was singing to them, bouncing and screaming, it was madness!

I love hearing Mike Posner's voice, maybe coz it reminds me alot of Justin Timberlake? Both are talented at making songs, have their very own unique voices and play musical instruments. Hmmm, upcoming big star?

And at this moment, he took off his jacket and grabbed a teddy to give to one of his fan. Wonder was she robbed later? 

On the piano, he did a cover of Oasis's "Wonderwall" and he ever drummed to Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"!

Let's do the brain....

The big grand finale was Mike-y jumped onto the piano and start jumping, dancing, while performing "Cooler Than Me". It was super chaotic when he came down from stage to shake hands with the fans. I was almost 'stomped' to deaf. The video I was recording got interrupted, but well, I had fun!
