Sharp Launches Splash Proof Portable Bluetooth Speaker With A 20 Hour Battery Life For Quality Sound On The Go

Being "stuck" with limited activities these days and revamping our living space, I find myself turning towards technology to boost my entertainment enjoying time. Both hubby and I love listening to music and podcasts/radio as we go about our day indoors or outdoors.

Well, Sharp has recently launched the GX-BT480, a Splash Proof Portable Bluetooth Speaker powered by Onkyo. It promises 20 hours of quality play time, sound on the go, with a 10,400 mAh battery.  It comes with IP54 protection which also assures durability against environmental factors such as dust ingress and water splashes.

A 2.0ch system with a maximum audio output of 100dB, the speaker is versatile and delivers high definition spatial sound audible in most environments. The speaker comes with a Micro SD card slot, USB input, and 3.5mm AUX input. Wirelessly connect with it via Bluetooth 4.2 which has a maximum connection distance of 50 metres.

Audio from multiple speakers can be synched with Sharp’s True Wireless Stereo technology for a seamless surround sound system.

Three Different EQ Modes Tuned By Studio Engineers

The GX-BT480 comes with three equalizer modes. Firstly, the standard mode which regulates the volume of the different frequencies at the same level. Next, the bass boost mode for a deeper and more impactful bass. Lastly, the movie mode which enhances dialogue and vocals.

Microphone Interfaced With Google and SIRI Smart Assistant Voice Prompts

Equipped with a built-in microphone, when the speaker is wirelessly connected with your mobile devices, it automatically interfaces with Apple’s SIRI and Google’s smart assistant, recognizing the respective voice prompts.

I was treated to a sneak peek of what's to be launched by Samsung this CES 2014 and I bet the fans will be happy to find 3 new Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablets alongside some nifty accessories for the ultimate Android experience!

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO is the size of an A4 paper.

When we first arrived at the event, I was given a Samsung Galaxy NotePRO to view the presentation slides as we had the introduction. I was already captivated by it as not only we could having a meeting without everyone squinting at the screen right in front of the room, the presenter could even make notes or changes to the slides as we progressed. There's even a Chat function where you can make group chats or a private chat with another colleague of yours, during the meeting. *gossip girl time*

Also, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO has the world's first 12.2 inch WQXGA Widescreen (16:10) display, offering crystal clear resolution (2560x1600) with more than 4 million pixels, making it an ideal platform for every type of content and consumption. Not only can you view your videos clearly in Full HD, you can be sure you are experiencing full gaming adrenaline, just like what I did with the race game - Asphalt 8.

Of course, with such a big and clear screen, the personalized Magazine UX, will allow you to tailor and organize your favorite content in an easy-to-use dashboard with automatic feed or news updates. It's having a  virtual magazine in your lap!

Other than that, there are also some other productivity tools. Multi Window enables you to open up to 4 different windows at one time to get the information that you need and when needed, you can also pop up the Pen Window with the S Pen. It will allow you to access unique in-application features such as YouTube and a calculator.

Also, with the Remote PC, you can access and control your home or office PC directly through your Galaxy NotePRO or TabPRO without having to run back and forth, tranferring files...

Other than that, there are also optional accessories available for purchase to go with your Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO - Various Book Covers, USB LAN Hub, Universal BT Keyboard and S Action Mouse (accessories may vary by product models).

And for the gamers and music lovers, you will be excited to know that there will be a launch of the premium wireless speaker (EO-SB330) and the GamePad (EI-GP20).

The GamePad will work with Samsung devices running Android 4.1 OS or later and will allow users to instantly pair with the help of integrated NFC. Users can either attach their smartphone in the clamp that can hold devices up to 6.3-inches in size or hook the device with a TV via HDMI. 

The wireless speaker is also equipped with NFC for easier pairing and features metal body, up to 15 hours of battery life and built-in microphone with noise cancellation technology. Combine the 2 for the most amazing game experience!

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO line will come in various connectivity options: WiFi Only, WiFi and 3G, or WiFi and LTE. Users can choose between the 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO that comes with an included S Pen and the 12.2-inch Galaxy TabPRO, Galaxy TabPRO 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch without the S Pen.
