The Inaugural Siloso GrillFest *Burps*

Despite the heavy downpour just before 6pm on 13th of April 2017 at Sentosa, it did not dampen the excitement to the inaugural beach barbeque festival, Siloso GrillFest.

Organized along a 1-km stretch of the Sentosa's famous Siloso Beach over two weekends in April, on 13th - 16th April 2017 and 21st - 23rd April 2017, from 6pm till 11pm, Siloso GrillFest offers a spread of classic and contemporary BBQ creations, as well as international cuisine from various F&B operators from within and beyond Sentosa to satisfy the appetite of food lovers.

One of the highlights of the inaugural beach barbeque festival is the BBQ pit, setup by Spuds & Aprons, measured approximately 4.9 meters long and 0.9 meters tall and made up of approximately 310 bricks joined together using cement. It has just been awarded Singapore’s Longest Brick BBQ Pit by the Singapore Book of Records just before the start of this one-of-a-kind beach food festival!

Guests can also look forward to various cuisines offered through the pop-up stalls of Amara Sanctuary Resort, Wave House Sentosa, as well as Ola Beach Club and FOC Sentosa – two of Sentosa’s latest F&B outlets.

Avoid disappointment caused by long queues and "sold out" by going to Siloso GrillFest early.

Huneybees are reminded to be there as early as possible as some of the crowd favourite dishes, such as the Gourmet Seafood Platter by Spuds & Aprons and the fresh Oysters by Greenwood Fish Markets  or Ola Beach Club are expected to be sold out fast. It was the case for us when we made a beeline to order just after 8pm on the first day of the festival.

The Chef at Gin Khao Bistro pop-up stall #15 grilled the Spanish Mackerel to perfection!

Also, do explore those pop-up stalls that are located further down the 1-km stretch of the Siloso GrillFest, such as the in front of the Wave House. Over there you will find the pop-up stall operates by Gin Khao Bristo, where Thai food is reinvented and given a twist. We really enjoyed the refreshing taste of the Grilled Mackerel Fish paired with its special green chilli sauce, which reminded us of our times back at Bangkok!

1st Sep is not only my Birthday, it's also Sentosa's 40th Birthday! There are fun filled activities for the whole family! Here are the list of them and I'm pretty much looking forward to the Ice Playground by the Beach...

Celebrate our 40th Birthday!

	Sentosa is turning 40! A carnival of fun and attractive promotions are in store as Sentosa celebrates her birthday with you! Be our guest and enjoy complimentary admission via Sentosa Boardwalk (VivoCity Lobby F, Level 1) and Sentosa Express (VivoCity, Lobby L and Level 3). Join in the Carnival festivities with great entertainments such as Stilt walkers sporting colorful balloon costumes, the 2.5 meter tall Puppet Master, Party walking table that will add a splash of fun and color to your photos! Don't miss the dancers from Jitterbugs Swingapore as they swing the Charleston tune by the Singapore Stompers!

The Grand Finale
8.15pm

At sundown, a rousing display will light up the Merlion Tower and transform the majestic 37-meter icon into a digital canvas. 3D video images will be projected onto its facade and the vibrant finale will culminate in a firework display.

Get groovy and be a part of these exciting programmes such as interactive beatboxing by the iLLERs, skate battling by Crib Sports with Wizkids and more. Watch the professionally- trained pole dancers who will put on a show that combines strength, agility, style and grace or you may join in to learn a few moves yourself! Treat yourself with face painting or airbrush tattoo to get into the celebration mood.

Event Highlights.

See the transformation of Sentosa over 40 years in a unique showcase by the award winning sand-sculptor, Joo Heng Tan! Assisted by Helena Bangert and Katsuhiko Chaen, they will create a sand sculpture standing at 2.4m and 20m long, depicting the stories of Sentosa’s milestones and success. New App - WATSinside

Hi Huneybees,

New App for party animals! Don't you always want to be in the know, get to know events happening around Singapore and gain free access to the City's nightlife and entertainment scene?

WATSinside is here to save the day! The new mobile app features a wide range of useful features that allow users to enjoy Singapore's cosmopolitan lifestyle to the fullest, receiving instant offers and promotions such as 1 for 1 deals, etc.

Basically, it is a super simple app. After downloading it from the "market", you can see the upcoming events, register to buy tickets or receive your mobile invites which you can simply flash it at the door. The fun factor is that you can even share photos, live feed updates and then link it up to you Facebook account. It works like Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook all fused into an app!

So, I was invited to their very first launch party at Hard Rock Cafe, where I got to learn and try out the app for the first time. I think it is a really good app, not only for party-goers like me, but also for businesses to spread their name out there. It's a great platform to advertise your brand and draw more crowd. :)
