Secret's Out : Jay Park & Traveloka To Join AXN's "Asia's Got Talent" Family

Hi Huneybees,

The record-breaking series - Asia’s Got Talent returns to AXN in October this year with 10 episodes comprising five judges’ auditions, three semi-finals, the finale and the results show where the winner will be revealed, and awarded a cash prize of USD 100,000 from Traveloka.

Yup, TravelokaSoutheast Asia’s leading app for all hotel and flight needs, has joined in as the new presenting sponsor of the program. With this sponsor on board, one winner with the most vote from audience will receive a major prize from the sponsor - the Traveloka Awards!

Mr Christian Suwarna, Traveloka Senior Vice President of Business Development with Asia's Got Talent Season 2 Judges - David Foster, Anggun and Jay Park

The selection criteria for the Traveloka award will be based on the uniqueness of the participant’s talent and their connection story with family and friends. For each week, during the first five episodes, two acts will be highlighted and their stories will be published online. At the end of episode five, the audience will cast their vote for the most inspiring act.
“Traveloka is excited to partner with ‘Asia’s Got Talent’ where we see a mutual partnership value between Traveloka and the show. Every day, millions of people would open the Traveloka App as the first step of making their travel dreams come true. It offers a user-friendly booking experience and a wide range of flight and accommodation options at great prices, all to assist travelers in reaching any destination they want seamlessly. As the leading app for all hotel and flight needs in Southeast Asia, we are excited to empower the region’s talent as well as their journey to success with the support of their families and friends” --- Christian Suwarna, Traveloka Senior Vice President Business Development.
On top of the new sponsorship by Traveloka, there are a few surprises just like the addition of Tyra Banks as the host on America's Got Talent.

As a starter, the hosts this season are Alan Wong (Actor/Model/Host) and Justin Bratton (TV Host/Actor/Film-maker). They are both great personalities, embodying charisma and being best buddies, I bet this duo will bring fun to the stage hosting.

Another change to this season show is that we will be seeing just 3 judges instead for 4.
While this may sound like we are gonna see less judges drama with the exit of Melanie C and Vanness Wu, leaving David Foster and Anggun as the 2 remaining judges from the first season, I bet the new judge addition of Jay Park will more than fill up that void and bring in more Hallyu flavour to the show.

Jay, an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and savvy entrepreneur, CEO and founder of two successful record labels, will take the coveted hot seat alongside the show’s returning judges, the 16-time Grammy Award-winning music producer David Foster and internationally acclaimed singer and World Music Award winner Anggun. Together, they will be judging hundreds of acts from 17 countries across the region.

At the press con, we were also treated to an act by The Cazaubon Sisters (duet by young Singaporean sisters Ariane, aged 12, and Anne-Sophie Cazaubon, aged 10). They are one of the impressive acts during the recent auditions in Singapore and were invited to sing at the media conference, as a sneak peep into what we could expect on the reality show.

Both of them are currently singing with the Singapore Children's Choir and had started singing at the tender age of two, aspiring to be world-class singers since then. I can't wait to see what the the girls will bring on stage soon!

Apart from Traveloka, Great Eastern Life, the market leader in the conventional life insurance business and the largest life insurer in Malaysia by asset size will be the partner sponsor together with Marina Bay Sands, Asia’s leading business, leisure and entertainment destination, as the official venue partner of Asia’s Got Talent.

“The first season of Asia’s Got Talent was one of the biggest productions in the world. The series unveiled a host of talent from across the region and fast became a fan favourite with AXN viewers. Season Two is set to be even bigger and better.” --- Ganesh Rajaram, General Manager, EVP Sales Asia, FremantleMedia International

So be sure to tune in this October and support your favourite act!
I can't wait for the show to be aired!

Easy Breezy Coloured Lips With Katy Perry & CoverGirl

Hi Huneybees,

After their launch of the Star Wars collection last year, CoverGirl introduced another collaboration with Katy Perry, namely Katy Kat Matte. CoverGirl is not available in Singapore (why not?!), but you can easily get them online and ship over, or like me, Airfrov it!

In the collection, there are 11 lipsticks and 4 mascara shades. I've tried their mascaras before and they didn't impress me much, except that there is a blue mascara shade. It wasn't enough to persuade me to buy them, so I only went for the lipsticks.

The lipstick shades are:
 • Sphynx
 • Pink Paws
 • Magenta Minx
 • Coral Cat
 • Crimson Cat
 • Cat Call
 • Kitty Purry
 • Cosmo Kitty
 • Maroon Meow
 • Catoure
 • Perry Panther
 • Purrsian Pink
 • Tame Tiger

I did some online searching for the swatches before deciding to settle with the 4 colours that are not so easily found. So what do I think of these demi-matte lipsticks?

Well, first up, I was a little disappointed in the packaging. Just plain white cover with large Arial Bold wordings, doesn't scream Katy Perry for me. At least a holographic, prismatic sticker label or some cat footprints might be better?

Each of the lipstick has a peek-a-boo window at the bottom, so you can see which shades you are holding, flick it to the bottom and you will find their names with a cat hairband logo. I do love the cheeky cat names for each of them. What I've gotten is Perry Panther, Coral Cat, Cosmo Kitty and Maroon Meow.

Coral Cat adds a tinge of peach to your usual safe nude colours and allows you to add a pop of colour to your daily makeup look. There's nothing matte about it, just make sure you scrub those lips before applying the lipstick.

Cosmo Kitty

Remember Katy Perry's E.T. music video? This bright pop of purple will definitely transport you to the alien territory and party all night long. Pair it with soft earthy shades of eye makeup and a flick of cateye liner, you will be definitely be the spotlight of the night.

Maroon Meow

Yes! I see a Cat Woman behind those dark maroon lips. Though I was hoping to get a dark, deep red shade like red wine, but it turned out to be a bending towards the cooler blue tones. It was a disappointing shade for me, but well, this does go pretty well with smokey eyes...

Perry Panther

Alot of brands have launched their own versions of black lipsticks in the recent year and every one has their own formula. Perry Panther didn't really wow me with their shade of black though. Probably it's the demi-matte formula, I find that I can't seem to get full black lips, no matter how many layers I apply. It just keeps giving me a faded dark grey. =/

All in all I love this twist to matte lipsticks. Matte lipsticks are never the best formula to pull off without having your lips looking like it's chapped. This demi-matte formula is creamier than the usual matte lipsticks and is more hydrating with a touch of sheen.

They are created with shea, aloe, and avocado butter so you can get a smooth and easy glide for your lips. They are not very long lasting though, I always have to touch up my lips after a meal. But nonethless, this affordable line might just be your introductory venture into coloured lipsticks.

Have you tried the lipsticks before?
Do comment and share too. =)

[Get The Look] Makeup With Accessories Steals To Look "Expensive"

Hi Huneybees,

I got some buys when I was out at flea markets and wana show ya guys the makeup looks that I paired with the accessories. Even the cheapest products can look glam too!

Feathers are so in! And can you believe it?! I got these babies at $1.90  at Bead Street, Cineleisure!
I wore a blue maxi dress and had this $6 bracelet I got from a flea market. So Cartier inspired right?
This is the look that I came up with to match my accessories.

You don't have to use expensive makeup for this look. All I needed was this eyeshadow pot from Body Shop. I got it for quite a while already, think it's unavailable anymore, but you can always use other substitutes.

SO sorry, it's cracked. But you can see there's 2 colour. A pale beige and marine blue eyeshadow in one pot.

I did a little drawing to let you guys understand how I achieved the look. I used the beige just below the brow bone, blue from crease to lashes and dabbed a white eyeshadow in the middle for that "Open Eyes" feel. Then, with eyeliner and luscious false lashes, voila! *Remember, blue goes well with pink, just lightly dab some pink blush and pink lipstick to go with your eyes*.

Next up is this amazing Armour ring that I got for $8. Looking so fierce, I had to pair it with something more manly and gave myself a "fiercer" (Quote Tyra Banks) look.

Here's how I got the looks:

From left: M.A.C. Pigment (Melon), M.A.C. frost eyeshadow (Fresh Daisy) and Loreal HIP colour chrome eyeliner  (920 Gold Charge)
I have Fresh Daisy at the browbone and Melon pigment all over the rest of the lids and  drew the gold eyeliner on my bottom waterline. Top everything with a long winged eyeliner all round the eyes and that's it!
And as you have such dramatic eyes, keep the rest of the face "clean". You can do a light contouring on your cheeks and jawline with an orange or light brown blush/powder and end everything with a nude lip colour. It's just that simple!
