CLUB313 Extravaganza – You are invited!‏

I was invited to 313@Somerset recently to experience what it feels to be a CLUB313 member. At the CLUB313 Extravaganza, an atrium fair was held from Feb 28 to Mar 3 for shoppers to get a sneak peek into the many exciting workshops and the exclusive privileges that await the CLUB313 members.

What is CLUB313?
CLUB313 is a loyalty programme for shoppers of 313, and their theme is More rewards, more recognition, more experiences, more surprises. In layman terms, instead of just awarding points, the mall has decided to reward its shoppers with experience-based items instead. 

When I arrived at the event, there was already a Horoscope talk going on. So I went ahead to explore the other booths. There were 5 booths set up and the first one that attracted me was the special previews of limited edition footwear from L.E. Way, one of 313′s tenants.

The Adidas Poodle shoe was the one that attracted me. Costing at $289, will you get it?

The next station was a nail art tutorial booth by Summer Nails. We could choose from 3 designs and I chose to learn how to draw the flowers. Actually it wasn't as difficult as it looks!

Yipee! I finished up my nail tip and it's so simple to do! Just 5 mins!!!

There was also a Wine Appreciation Booth by Straits Wine Company but seriously is the 2 cute guys that's selling! *Oops*

For the J-fans, there was a sushi making workshop by Umisushi. Those interested can also sign up for their workshops on 20 April and 4 May ($65 nett per pax incl. lunch). More details can be done by contact Umisushi at 6448 8865 / marketing@umisushi.com.sg .

And finally, my favourite! A booth with Etude House for an eye makeup touchup. As well as tips sharing with the makeup artist...

I Was Tipsy At Singapore Wine Fiesta 2012

Yes, when it comes to wine, I would be tipsy with just a few sips, not glasses, white and red alike. It doesn't help with the fact that my hubby has a large collection of Barolo and Amarone at home. 

Don't get me wrong, I love my wines, just could not hold one in public without looking silly with a red face and not walking straight...

Nevertheless, the raining weekend period of 2nd~4th November, didn't defer us (me, hubby and my friend Malcom) from visiting the Singapore Wine Fiesta 2012 @ Customs House (next to Fullerton Bay Hotel), 70 Collyer Quay.

This is the 5th year running of the largest outdoor wine fair in the region,  presented by The Straits Wine Company in partnership with DBS bank, where over 60 winemakers from around the world were featured. Obviously this presented an unique opportunity for us to sample wines from various regions - both new and old world.

This year, the fiesta is buzzing with brand new finds, hot trends and undiscovered gems. Expect trendy rosés (AIX), a stunning find from the shores of Japan (Grace Wines), a Michel Rolland project from India (Grover Vineyards), a Lebanese legend (Chateau Kefraya), gems from Portugal (Quinta do Crasto), a Cava icon (Raventos i Blanc) even a foray into the world of Croatian wines.

The old favourites are back with some new additions to the Straits Wine family. Those with a palate for Italian tipples will find exciting new offerings (Barone Ricasoli, Vietti, Marco Feluga), while new world lovers can look forward to icons of their own (Leeuwin Estate, Logan). If you’re fond of a nightcap, look out for the artisan collection hand-crafted Armagnacs, Calvados, the famous Chartreuse and a vodka in a league of its own, Beluga.

The above are just some of the old (mainly) and new world wines that most of us enjoyed during this year Wine Fiesta.

While I couldn't resisted and bought a few bottles of Moscato and Chocolate wines during the Wine Fiesta, my hubby decided to stick to his collection of wines that he bought from The Straits Wine Company over the years.
