You Can Now Get Those Lovely Jelly Bunny Shoes Here In Singapore!

Jelly Bunny opened its first branch in Singapore at Plaza Singapura recently. It drew streams and streams of Jelly Bunny fans on its opening day and Huney'Z World was there to capture it all.

With the big signature rainbow polka dot bunny at its window, you are stepping into this wonderful land of colourful Jelly shoes. It's a heaven for the ladies, as you will be able to walk off with those comfy footwear as well as bags, with new designs launched weekly in-store.

If you love colours like me, this whimsical wonderland is the place for you. Choose from its extensive range of ballerina flats, wedges, heels, slippers and slip-ons to stay comfy in your everyday events. There's even shoes for the little ones.

I use to travel to Thailand for these shoes, but not it's great that they have brought Jelly Bunny into Singapore. Their shoes are comfy to walk in, I love the cushioned base and every shoe has that nice vanilla fragrance!

Well, all thanks to their unique blend of soft, high-quality and eco-friendly Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) material that provides optimum flexibility as well as supreme comfort.

At the opening day, I also joined Katharina Boehmer, Jelly Bunny's International Business Development Manager at a special media session at Marble Slab Creamery. We learnt about their special shoe making process as well as witness the cake cutting to celebrate the first store opening of Jelly Bunny in Singapore.

So, let's head in store shall we? In the store, you can find the signature yellow striped canopy with the hopping bunny logo. It was madness shopping time that day and I only managed to get a few shots, before the items got snapped away. Z.Z||| 

What is in store now is their Fall/Winter 2014 collections - "The Winter Wonderettes" and "Play With Magic". "The Winter Wonderettes" is all about bringing glitter to this winter with thefeeling of joy in mind, whist "Play With Magic" is inspired by the fairy tale classic - Alice in Wonderland, the collection showcased a range of pastel tones as well as muted colours like beige, black, dark blue and grey for easy pairing.

Isn't the collection adorable?! The cross body bags in both square and round shape was highly loved during the opening day. Especially the soft pink round one, it's like carrying a macaron with you! :X

The shoes are also embellished with crystals and the special decorated hearts are of reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland; while ribbon and fabric designs exude a vintage and girly flair. All just in time for a sparkly Christmas dressup....

You can also find the Luxe Collection that has a special cushioned insole, with more embellishments.

So, let's get shopping! I'm going back for more...

Have An Egg-alicious Brunch At MEDZS

Yay! It's the weekend and it's time to treat ourselves to great food with our friends and families. The Brunch trend has been catching on in the recent years and my very own favourite would have to be the Eggs Benedict. Something about cutting the eggs up and letting the yolk flow, is so invigorating!

So, I'm always on the lookout for new Brunch hunts, looking for nice places to chill out with my hubby after "partying" out our Fridays and Saturdays. Hungry? Here's MEDZS with their new weekend brunch menu...

I have introduced MEDZS to you guys before, it is home to an eclectic range of Mediterranean cuisine from Spain, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Greece, Italy and France. Their brunch menu is of course a wide selection of popular dishes from these countries and all I can wish for is to have 4 stomachs!

Stacked Brunch Torte

This Italian dish is a delight to have, every layer is a different flavour of Eggs, Ham, Mushroom, Spinach and Bell Pepper. Paired with a light salad, this will definitely prepare you for the rush hour week ahead.

Tasty Tortilla

If you are looking for something more hearty to last you through the noon, you can consider the Spanish Tortilla. With the Stewed Beans with Chorizo and Brioche Toast, the flavouful dish will ehisk you awayto Spain for the weekend.

Bouncy Benedict

Here comes my favourite. Not only is there Eggs Benedict, there's even Rosti Potato to go with them. You know how they always say eat your Eggs Benedict whilst its still piping hot? Well, after having mine laying there for a while, the egg yolk is still runny! Together with the Smoked Salmon and English Muffin, this is definitely the dish I want to wake up to every morning!

Le Jolly Monsieur

Served in a big portion of Ham, Bacon, Cheese and Béchamel Sauce, this French quick snack that is a must-have in all Parisian café. Although I do like this version of the Croque Monsieur, I would suggest to have it whilst it's hot, as the sandwich feels a little soggy after awhile.

Poseidon's Wrap

Fans of seafood must have this! It's a lighter dish compared to the rest, with loads of vegetables wrapped with prawn, fish, squid, it would be as though you were swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Do try the Tzatziki sauce as well! The Greek Salad is also very appetizing with its tangy dressing, tomatoes, olives and cheese.

Spicy Chicken Tagine

I wouldn't call it spicy though, I find this dish kinda sweet in fact. Though this tasty Moroccan Chicken dish might be a little heavy for my liking, but I'm sold by the sauce and I can't help dipping the Potato Pancake in it!

Egg-Crowned Shakshouka

This is the first time that I had tried this dish and I must admit that I felt in love with the dish the moment I put in my mouth. The lamb kefta is very chewy while the egg yolk (when mixed with the sauce) is very addictive when eating with bread.

A Berry Pancake Gala

I would consider this a dessert and share it with my partner after our bunch meal. Other than the Berries topping, you could have a choice of maple syrup, Mango, Vanilla or Strawberry sauce to go with the pancakes.

The dishes are priced affordably so that you do not have to worry about burning a hole in your pocket even if you decide to pamper yourself every weekend. The restaurants’ cosy and friendly settings also make them an ideal place for to enjoy tete-a-tete conversations. Visit Orchard Central for the underground buzz, and Millenia Walk to enjoy the spacious and alfresco setting.

Not only that, MEDZS is adding premium coffee to its weekend brunch menu to complement the hearty range of brunch. For the first month, first 200 brunch-goers at each MEDZS outlet will receive a free cup of coffee with every brunch item purchased.

The weekend brunch menu will be available starting from 22 February 2014.

Asian Couture Night At FIDé Fashion Weeks 2013

Before Guo Pei was presented that night at FIDé Fashion Weeks, we saw the incredible works of 3 Asian designers - Michael Cinco from Philippines and Vatit Itthi from Thailand. Both designers showcased incredible pieces of art.

Michael Cinco, a Philippines couturier based in Dubai for the last 15 years, is highly sought after by celebrities like Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Sofia Vergara, Brandy, Britney Spears, Fergie, J Lo, Ciara, and Chris Brown.

He reinterpreted the Spanish Flamenco dress in his own magic. Not only were there smart suits for the men (like the suave-y bull fighters), the gowns were exceptionally breath taking, with the romantic music in the background, each piece of work was telling its own stories...

 

The collection was separated by three key colours – skin nude, lipstick red and gothic black. Where each colour comes with a breath-taking gown in sheer silk tulles, French laces and heavily beaded and crystallised. Every piece comes with intricate details, his workmanship and finishing is second to none. There's no loose threads, no unfinished seams. Simply the work of  a genius!

The highlight had to be the black and maroon gown with a cascading multi-tiered train. 200-metres of tulle were embroidered at the hems and took five helpers to carry it from the changing room to the back of the stage. 

Next to take centre stage was the Thai duo of Vatit Virashpanth and Itthi Metanee, known under the label Vatit Itthi. They started the line in 2002 in Chicago, before relocating back to Bangkok to carry on their line of red-carpet gowns.

Fresh from Bangkok’s Elle Fashion Week, the collection was about an “old school, new world” attitude. Adapting ‘old’ silhouettes from around and after WW2, the duo used draping, sheer overlays and embellishments of handmade delicate silk flowers and strategic beadwork to highlight the 29 ensembles of simple and classic lines. 

It was definitely a I-feel-proud-to-be-Asian moment that night. We have changed so much over the years and I must say we are definitely on par with the internationally acclaimed brands out there.
