A Hair Pampering Session at KEOLLEOBAR

Hi Huneybees,

I've neglected my hair since the pandemic and it has come to a stage where it's dry and tangled, making me look so tired and weary. So, I decided it was time to change and headed over to KEOLLEOBAR at Bugis Cube.

Bugis Cube is right opposite Bugis Junction along North Bridge Road and at the end of level 2 is KEOLLEOBAR and KEOLLEOGLAM - The beauty arm under the KEOLLEOBAR. They were a little busy that day, so I was ushered to their salon on level 3 instead.

My hair was looking so dead and dry...

My hairstylist was Kito and he "checked out" my hair condition before consulting on what to do with it. Due to psoriasis, I had a dry yet oily scalp and also flaky skin, which he explained and showed me through the skin analyzer machine.

Such an embarrassing sight...

So, Kito advised a scalp treatment and a wash & cut. I left my hair in his hands whilst I took the time to finish up some emails. First, he applied the serum along my scalp, it was minty and chilling, which calms my itchy scalp, feels like having a freezer on my head. Then, we capped it with a steamer to let the serum do its work.

Next up, was a wash off with a minty anti-itch shampoo and back to my seat with a hair mask session. Our face needs its skincare and pampering, actually, so does our hair. It was so easy and relaxing to let my hair scalp get back its nutrition, no thanks to Covid, I disappointed my hair... 😂

Lastly, it was time for my hair cut. All the tangled ends were snipped off and I finally got the curtain bangs that I've been wanting.  There were so many Tik Tok on DIY curtain bangs gone wrong, that's why I left it to the hands of the professionals...

Check out my 2.5 hr hair session above and see how clean my scalp is below?

Tadah! my scalp looks so clean and hydrated right? Check out the final result... I'm definitely going back for another hair treatment and maybe I should add some colours next?

I love how healthy my hair looks now...

So, there you have it, if you are also looking for a change in hair style or give your hair some pampering, do head on over to KEOLLEOBAR.

Psst, remember I mentioned KEOLLEOGLAM, they provide beauty services like Eyebrow Embroidery, Facial, Eyelash Extension, Nose Lifting and Anti Wrinkles. Their Anti Wrinkles service is said to be immediate effect and is going at a promotion price of S$299.

Wella Launches New Hair Color Series - Illumina Color Japan in Singapore

Hi Huneybees,

For those who love to colour their hair will know that it can be a painful process, leaving our hair dry and "crispy". Wouldn't it be nice if there is a hair dying process that can give us gorgeous hair colour and leave hair smoother and more radiant?

Yes! There is such a solution now! Wella Professionals, a brand under Coty Professional Beauty, the professional division of Coty Inc., known for its portfolio of leading salon brands such as Wella Professionals, System Professional, ghd and OPI has launched its new colour range Illumina Color Japan in Singapore. This is the brand's largest innovation and is uniquely formulated in Japan, designed specifically for the Asian hair and tested on Asian hair.

This revolutionary professional hair colour range leaves hair smoother and more radiant – even after several washes. Through the patented Trilumina Balance Technology, it expresses the translucent colour and by Microlight (EDDS) technology, it keeps hair conditions (virgin-like hair) in pristine quality, reducing hair fall with up to 40% less cuticle damage.

To launch and introduce Illumina Color Japan to Singapore, Wella Professionals also introduced its Wella Dream Team, consisting of the most creative talents across Southeast Asia and Korea with Jaron Lu, of 99 Percent Hair Studio, its creative director and owner of four salons in Singapore.

The Dream Team will be sharing their ideas, inspiration, and creativity to unleash the full power of the Wella Professionals brand as advocates of the Wella Professionals brand. In Singapore, we will have Jaron sharing his creative expertise with hairstylists across the region, inspiring them on their journey with Wella.

The brand also launched its repairing hair treatment, Wellaplex to accompany Illumina Color Japan. Done together in the salon, both Wellaplex and Illumina Color Japan provide the most luminous colours and help to retain hair’s natural bounce and vigour.

If you are interested to give the Wellaplex and Illumina Color Japan, you can head over to 99 Percent Hair Studio. Below are their salon details, stay tuned to Huney'Z World as I will be giving the Illumina Color Japan a whirl too...

I Met Vlogger Kristen Leanne! Thank You Urban Decay!

Hi Huneybees,

Urban Decay has recently launched their collaboration collection with Kristen Leanne in Singapore. I've been a fan of this beauty vlogger for awhile, it all started when I dyed my rainbow hair. I was doing research on colourful hair dyes and a brand - Arctic Fox Hair Color popped up. It is a bega and cruelty-fress hair colour brand and Kristen herself is the founder of this brand!

Arctic Fox donates 15 % of its profits to organizations that work to end animal abuse and suffering; and being a lover of the animals, she's also a cruelty-free beauty influencer who shares her reviews and makeup tutorials on YouTube.

I'm captivated by her glass-like eyes, her edgy image, whilst her reviews and tutorials are very original. It's no wonder that she's being chosen to work with Urban Decay, a brand that I always find very colourful,  avant-garde and at the forefront of the beauty industry.

So, Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne launched recently in Singapore and Sephora held a meet-and-greet with the Beauty Vlogger herself. I got the chance to the sharing session, met up with her for some photos, had a little chat with her and got my Urban Decay x Kristen Leanne palettes autographed!

I even got to grab a pic of her and her husband Ryan Morgan, who is also sporting a tattooed body and isn't afraid to rock coloured hair and use some makeup. Both of them are so sweet and cute, making a colorful duo on the web. #CoupleGoals

Kristen sharing some tips with me on how to be a beauty influencer...

Tadah! My prized autograph items from the limited edition collection. I got myself the Kaleidoscope Dream Eyeshadow Palette and the Daydream Eyeshadow Palette. One eyeshadow palette is packed with adventurous colors, whilst the other is all about nude shades.

Each palettes has its own dedicated makeup brush and on the enclosed mirror are the words "Stay Gold" which is a popular quoted line from The Outsiders. In context, meaning to be true to yourself, innocent, uncorrupted and unblemished.  How apt to the brand's motto right?

The Kaleidoscope Dream Eyeshadow Palette has 11 vibrant shades, including a unique split-pan duochrome pan.  These colours are all  highly pigmented and pop upon application, all specially named by Kristen herself with Corona being inspired by her favourite beer.

The Daydream Eyeshadow Palette is loaded with five new shades that are perfect for creating matte looks. Every shade feels buttery, easily buildable and blendable to create the perfect dreamy neutral eye makeup.

The collection also has a face palette - Beauty Beam Highlight Palette, 3 new matte Vice Lipsticks and a Vice Liquid Lipstick Duo. You can get them at Sephora Singapore or the Urban Decay stores islandwide. I'll be sharing my makeup looks using these palettes on my Instagram. Stay tuned and stay gold ~~~

[Tried & Tested] Having Fun New Hair Colour With Manic Panic

Hi Huneybees,

Check out my latest hair colour! After 4 months of faded blue and pink hair, I knew it was time to change up the colours, I feel that I'm starting to look washed out, even though the fad is the pastel hair colour, this was not my style. It had to be "updated" since I was going on my Korea trip in a couple of days.

I didn't want to bleach my hair again and run the risk of hurting my hair, as my hairstylist suggested, my hair might break. So, I decided to go dark. Nope, not towards Darth Vadar, but a deeper green tone that might blend with my black roots better.

So, I got myself the "Enchanted Forest" from Tish & Snooky's Manic Panic. It is beautiful shade of green that would go well with the black roots that's growing out. I feel in love the moment I saw this picture above!

Manic Panic is a Semi Permanent Hair Dye brand that's been a well-known brand for those who love colouring their hair. It is vegan and no animal testing was done, plus they have an extensive range of colours, which you will not run out of ideas with. It can be used over natural or pre-lightened hair to achieve vivid hues and they last very very long.

Manic Panic Hair Colour
 • A conditioning semi-permanent hair colour fortified with a herbal and protein complex
 • Made from vegan ingredients (contain NO animal by-products )
 • Added benefit of conditioning the hair
 • Made in the USA
 • PPD Free, Ammonia Free, Peroxide Free

But like all Semi Permanent Hair Dye, you have be careful where you rest your head. It stains practically everything you lie on. Your perspiration is green and it will stain your collars. That's why I'm always dressed in black, but when the colours kinda wash out and roughly after 3 weeks, I've stop "dripping" green everywhere I go. This is a small price to pay, but when you see my head full of green, you know it is worth it!

So, here's my transformation process... I simply applied the whole tub to my hair, one tub of the dye was just enough for my shoulder length hair. It covered up even the pink sides that I have and I loved this tone for a change. Everyone agreed that this colour complimented my skin tone better. Do you like it? My hairstylist even helped me style my hair and well, it's been awhile since I last let my hair down... :)

The next few days was spent in Korea and after a few washes, the hair colour seemed a little more lighter and there seems to be a little more shades going on, giving my hair more dimension. I simply LOVE it!!!

After almost a month, I went back to my hairstylist to get my hair trimmed and thinned down. This time, he straightened my hair and though the colour has faded to a lighter shade of green, the turquoise underneath has also been showing out more. Together with my spikey hairband, ain't it totally Korean inspired?!

Hmmm, I might do a little more changes to my hair, since there are so many more colours from Manic Panic to play with. What do you suggest? Maybe I should do this crazy rainbow coloured one?
