If you've ever found yourself making a beeline for Pokémon Center Singapore whenever you're at Jewel Changi Airport, you're going to want to mark 1 July 2026 on your calendar.
After months behind hoarding boards, Pokémon Center Singapore is finally reopening and we are not talking about just a fresh coat of paint. This is actually the first full-scale renovation of a Pokémon Center outside Japan, making it a pretty big moment for Pokémon fans here in Singapore.
As someone who grew up with Pokémon and still gets excited spotting a Pikachu plush on a store shelf, I have to admit this reopening sounds dangerously tempting for both my inner child and my wallet.

A New Look Inspired By Singapore
One thing that immediately caught my attention is how the refreshed store takes inspiration from Singapore's own cultural identity. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the store feel more rooted here while still delivering that unmistakable Pokémon magic.
As someone who's visited the current store more times than I'd like to admit, I always appreciated the little nods to Singapore, especially the Peranakan-inspired tile designs scattered around the space. From the preview images, it looks like the new Pokémon Center is taking that idea much further, weaving local elements throughout the store to create an experience that feels uniquely Singaporean.
Even before stepping inside, visitors will be greeted by an impressive new façade featuring Pikachu alongside the store's brand-new symbol Pokémon.

Say Hello To Solgaleo
For years, Pokémon Center Singapore has had its own identity, but now it has a new mascot to call its own.
The Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo will become the new symbol Pokémon for Pokémon Center Singapore, taking pride of place on the store's logo and exterior. With its magnificent sun-like mane, it's hard to think of a more striking Pokémon to welcome visitors into the store.
The choice of Solgaleo definitely caught me by surprise. But the more I look at it, the more it makes sense. It's majestic, instantly recognisable, and its lion-like appearance feels strangely fitting for Singapore. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I can't help seeing a tiny bit of Merlion energy in there too.
A Place For Fans To Gather
Beyond shopping, one of the most exciting additions is a dedicated event space located at the back of the store.
The space will be equipped to host activities related to Pokémon video games, the Trading Card Game, and mobile gaming. For local trainers, collectors and competitive players, it sounds like Pokémon Center Singapore is evolving into more than just a retail store, it's really turning the in-game Pokémon Center coem to live as a community hub where fans can battle, trade and connect.
As someone who's watched the Pokémon community in Singapore grow over the years, this is definitely one of the most meaningful upgrades in the entire renovation.

Special Edition Singapore Merchandise Incoming
Get ready for some major wallet damage!
To celebrate the reopening, Pokémon Center Singapore will be releasing a collection of special edition merchandise inspired by Singapore life. The first wave includes plush versions of Solgaleo and Pikachu, along with adorable products inspired by the humble local kopi cup.
The merchandise artwork imagines Pokémon living among familiar Singapore-inspired cityscapes, making these souvenirs feel especially meaningful for local fans and overseas visitors alike.

A second wave of products is also scheduled to arrive in August, including a Pikachu-and-kopi themed bag charm that already sounds like something collectors will be hunting for. I'm definitely all geared up and making space in my display cabinet for these new collectibles!

Planning Your Visit
If you're thinking of heading down on opening week, be prepared.
Demand is expected to be high, and entry during the first five days (1–5 July 2026) will be managed through advance reservations and same-day queue tickets. Morning admission slots from 10am to 1pm require prior reservation, while same-day queue tickets will be distributed onsite from 8.30am onwards.
In other words, don't expect to casually stroll in on day one.
*Please refrain from gathering or waiting around the store premises before the designated ticket distribution time.
*Pokémon Singapore reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not follow staff instructions or whose behaviour causes a nuisance to the surrounding community.
