[What's New] Welcome Spring & Win The All New Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey City Blossom EDT

Flowers always brighten my day and their fragrance are so refreshing with their bright colours. That's why I've always been a fan of perfumes. Nothing can beat a great day smelling good and to me, I find that it is a kind of respect to others as well. You wouldn't want someone to come smelling as though he/she have just left the gym right?

Other than the fragrance, the bottle design also plays a part when I purchase a perfume. They are normally on my dressing table for at least a month, so of course, a nicer bottle becomes part of the decoration. :)

So, here's introducing you to Issey Miyake's  L'Eau d'Issey City Blossom. This new fragrance for women is a flanker to the 1992′s L’Eau d’Issey, with a special limited edition packaging designed by young French visual street artist - Mademoiselle Maurice.

This fragrance is a fresh new introduction as Winter enters into Spring, with bright floral colours entering into the city, blossoming on the city walls, pavements and saturate the air with their warmth and fragrance. 

I fell deeply in love with the soft floral scents amongst the musky base notes of Virginia White Cedarwood, Ambrox and White Musk. It's as though I was walking on the bustling city streets, as the people move around going about their daily life, with whiffs of dewy floral buds ready to blossom in the sun. Perfumer Alberto Morillas is behind this creation and he has 'bottled' Mademoiselle Maurice's design of figurative and abstract flowers right in this city-scaped perfume bottle.

Perfumer Alberto Morillas focused his creation into a divine spring breeze: the bright and cheerful opening like the signs of changing seasons, Pink Peppercorn and a sprinkling of Citrus Notes, not forgetting a hint of Calone, a nod to the Legendary L'Eau d'Issey: the first quiverings of a bud that will soon be blossoming. In dewy surroundings, the freshness is accentuated with middle notes that resonate beneath delicately honey-like Osmanthus Flowers, an invitation to travel - to the other side of the city - offered by Freesia and Magnolia: reserved and measured, the flower chose to retain its mystery by only opening halfway. Then with the bottom notes made up of natural Virginia White Cedar dominated by powerful notes of Ambrox and White Musk, this imaginary bouquet takes shape and draws its energy, "texturising" itself like the petals of a flower which finally touch the skin... the flower opens out completely, serenely, in a subtle mingling of charm and boldness.

Ain't the description such a beautiful piece? I knew I had to share that with you guys. Nothing beats a nice story built up to give birth to such a lovely fragrance. This light, floral perfume, subtlety brings Spring into my daily life, making it a breeze as I go about my chores.

[What's New] Hugo Red - Fragrance by Hugo Boss

Phew! Last week was a hell of events for me. It was like swimming in a bottomless open ocean and I was busy rushing around with the heavy flow of work projects. But I was super happy that "business" is picking up...

So, Hugo Boss have released their latest masculine fragrance called Hugo Red and the ad campaign is fronted by actor and musician Jared Leto. Seriously, RED is a whole new world for me. Watch this ad above and you will know what I mean!
I didn't get to make it to the event, so I'm gona "steal" some photos from Cheryl. The perfume launch was at Red Sea Gallery up on Dempsey Hill and the ingredients used for the making of the perfume were revealed.
Top Notes: Grapefruit Heart Notes: Rhubarb Base Notes: Cedarwood & Hot Amber Accord
The tagline and the colour - Red screams bold and strong in your face, but the fragrance seems kind of womanly for men, although it is a strong one to women. It could be due to the fruity smell of the Grapefruit that covers the smell of the Cedarwood.

The bottle of Hugo Red is supposed to be thermosensitive and change to the touch. But the question is how long does it take? I've tried several ways and it was not successsful.

A voluptuous shape, round in the hand, elegant on the vanity. There's a tinge of sexiness with the rich roses and peonies as well as refreshing with the bamboo. This rosy woody combo makes the heart of the perfume feel very beautiful and sensual.

The perfume is very light, but it isn’t as overtly-youthful as the packaging and campaign would have you believe. It’s a beautiful, loveable scent. I recommend you try Fairy Dance.
