HELLO KITTY is turning 40 (WHAT?!) and she is going big celebrating it at SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN in Nusajaya!

SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN in Nusajaya is having a Hello Kitty Friends Forever party to celebrate and it is scheduled for 3 days (31 October 2014 to 2 November 2014) of fun-filled carnival with activites for all Hello Kitty fans.

As the only official Hello Kitty experience outside Japan, this three day 40th Anniversary celebration promises to be the focal point for the celebrations in South East Asia and will be the place for fans to meet, share and bond with one another.

It will be an interactive experience that will feature four major highlights consisting of the Hello Kitty Friends Gathering, Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta, Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk and Hello Kitty Friends Rock Music Festival with exclusive photo opportunities and limited edition merchandise

1. The Hello Kitty Friends Gathering event will play host to the first and largest Hello Kitty fan gathering in South East Asia and is expected to be a record-breaking gathering as thousands of fans come together in an attempt to create a record of the largest Hello Kitty fan gathering outside Japan.

2. The Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta promises the largest and most exciting Hello Kitty-themed Street Fiesta that offers a little something for everyone. Fans of Hello Kitty will be able to get their hands on limited edition merchandise and exchange and showcase memorabilia as well as mingle with other ardent Hello Kitty fans. Street shows, magicians and performers will be on the streets and there will be plenty of things to do for the whole family like minute-to-win-it games and a food bazaar. There will even be a Hello Kitty birthday party parade specially organised by Hello Kitty’s host of friends.

3. Hello Kitty will turn glamorous at the Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk Grand Finale, the culmination of the Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary Fashion Design Competition for emerging young Malaysian designers to showcase their talent in fashion design. Under the creative eye of Ms Gillian Hung, President of Malaysia Official Designer’s Association (“MODA”), the designers will be mentored to create a 2-piece Hello Kitty inspired collection. The top 10 designers will then compete on the grand stage at the Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk Finale set for November 1st in the heart of SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Nusajaya. The winner will be announced on the spot and given a RM 5,000 cash prize along with an opportunity to meet, greet and be merry with Hello Kitty herself at SANRIO HELLO KITTY TOWN Nusajaya.

4. In the Hello Kitty Friends Rock music festival, Hello Kitty will be rocking it with several of her idol friends coming together from near and far just to make her birthday party an occasion not to be missed. Popular Malaysian J-Rock band Fly1ng Pan and Malaysian Pop Punk band BunkFace are slated to perform at the festival.

LEGOLAND Malaysia Lines Up a Great Celebration for 1st Anniversary‏

LEGOLAND® Malaysia is promising visitors a great day of family fun as the first ever LEGOLAND theme park in Asia turns one on 15th September. The Park will also be extending many of the special celebratory activities to guests visiting on 14th September as well.

To kick-off the celebration, LEGOLAND Malaysia is organising a LEGO cake building session with Park visitors. LEGOLAND Master Model Builders will be assisting Park visitors to build the cake from 5th to 14th September 2013. It will comprise of over 300,000 bricks and measure three metres wide.

While the cake is being assembled there will be other activities for visitors throughout the month. Starting 7th September 2013 every day at LEGOLAND will feel like a celebration, with jugglers, stilt walkers and unicyclists, magic shows and LEGO building challenges.

On 15th September 2013 a full day of festivities have been planned including a dance performance, a kids disco party and 3D-LEGO fireworks displays, where bricks appear to be falling from the sky. As a special treat LEGOLAND will also give free entry to anyone who shares its birthday. Visitors born on 15th September will get free entry on the day and be will be given special rates (RM 90 per day ticket) to bring up to five friends when they visit.

Asia’s first LEGOLAND Water Park opens on 21st October and on 5th September the first big splash was made there as water started flowing for the first time. It is a major milestone for the project which is on schedule to open to the public in less than two months’ time.

The water supply was switched on temporarily to mark the completion of the Joker Soaker, one of the LEGOLAND Water Park’s signature attractions. The LEGOLAND Water Park will have more than 20 water rides and over 70 LEGO models making LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort the perfect family day out.

Hi Huneybees,

I was recently invited as a media to Legoland right before it opens the next day! It was a great theme park, not only did I have fun, I relived my childhood days of playing with LEGOs! I took a super lot of photos and it takes me forever to edit. Wahahahaha! Up till today I am still super excited and I seriously think you guys should go there at least once!

Here's my little about LEGOLAND and preview of the theme park. I will be uploading more photos as I edit, but nothing is like the experience itself! Spot all the little LEGO characters everywhere!

When I arrived at LEGOLAND, the burst of bright colours shocked me and woke me up from my slight sleepy stupor. The first thing we did was heading over to the Market Restaurant to meet up with the organisers and we had a chat session with Mr Siegfried Boerst (General manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia), Mr John Jakonsen (Managing Diretor of LEGOLAND Parks, Merlin Entertainment) and Mr Muhammad Zainal Ashikin b. Muhammad Rejab (Chief Development Officer of Themed Attractions & Resorts Sdn. Bhd.).

After some food and interviews (which I will feature in the next blog post), we were treated to a performance by the Billund Marching Band which only performed for the opening day. Oh! So privileged!

The band presented a LEGO band to Mr Siegfried Boerst and Mr John Jakonsen. Super adorable!!!

Off we go explore LEGOLAND! It's huge, so be prepared to some hours there. I would say go right in the morning and stay till closing! Wahahahaha!

Maps are everywhere in the Park, as well as super friendly LEGOLAND staffs. You will never get lost.

First LEGOLAND Park in Asia Reveals 76 Acres of Theme Park Fun!

LEGOLAND® Malaysia is a family theme park designed for families with children aged 2 to 12 years old with more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions.
