Huney gets a Fun Pack too!

Hi Huneybees,

I've always been baffled by the mystery of the NDP Fun Pack. Why everyone is so keen to grab one themselves and what is really in the pack??? I know the bags are nicely designed and decorated but something inside must be attractive?  >.<?

So this year, I won myself one (all thanks to Churp Churp) and I got to unravel the mystery myself. Yipee!

There's 4 designs this year drawn by graphic designer, Jesline Teo and I got myself the Vanda Miss Joaqium Orchid one. The bag has many compartments inside, and design is stylish. I sometimes bring it out to pair with jeans when I'm shopping! :)

On the back,  is an image of Singapore island made up of words that are significant to Singapore. Pretty cute right? I can see it on my t-shirt. LOL!

There's a bag tag this year! Is it every year? I got one half of the Marina Bay skyline and I love how the simple continuous line can easily depict the skyline that easily! And also thanks to the people mentioned on the tag for making the Fun Pack possible.

Singapore's 46th National Day

Hi Huneybees,

It's August and it's the nation's b'dae 2 weeks ago. I remember I was so excited that day and I took millions of photos. It was also a special day for my cousin, coz it's her b'dae! Her hubby was not in town, so we celebrated with her and the the whole country displayed fireworks for her! (*Hehehehe! You know it's not for her)

Let me share the beautiful photos of the parade from my home's balcony view? It's a restricted view, but at least I didn't have to crowd under the heat. :P

Before the parade began at 6pm, we already spotted this helicopter hoovering in the sky. we guessed it was the camera crew that were filming the NDP from bird's eye view.

Then, the NDP began and not long after we saw smoke trails in the sky. The parachuters already jumped off the plane and was preparing for the landing at the Floating Platform.

The helicopters bearing the Singapore National Flag flew around my block and I snapped photos of it. Felt so proud when the Singapore Flag flew right past my eyes.

So, while watching the parade and waiting for the fireworks display, we decided to sing the b'dae song for my cousin and cut the cake.

We bought the mango cake from Breadtalk. Super refreshing and not too sweet.

Then, the sky slowly turned dark as we enjoyed our slices of cakes and I prepared my camera for the fireworks display.

Fireworks!!!! The whole sky was blasted with colours and it was spectacular! Every year, it just kept me going WAH! WAH! WAH! Not a single second was my mouth closed. LOL!

NDP 2011 Rehearsal Fireworks

Hi Huneybees,

How's your weekend? Mine's was super fruitful and I did amazingly lots of things and one of which was to watch the NDP 2011 Rehearsal's fireworks from my own home.

Yes, I see this every year but this year it's different. The skyline's different with many new buildings in the Marina area and even the fireworks are different! And most importantly, this year is the first year I'll be shooting it with my Panasonic Lumix GF2.

Enjoy the photos and please give me your comments k? Afterall, I'm still learning things about my camera everyday...

Beautfiul moment right? I was so happy I managed to capture them, I can't wait for 9th August! I'll definitely be raising my Singapore flag high, singing my anthem and wait for the fireworks to come on.

P.S. The shots were taken with my 45-200mm lens, that's why they seem so near. And if you wana come over for a photo snapping session, please bring your power lens and book early k? It's a first come first serve thing. :)
