The Mid-Autumn season is always about togetherness, and this year’s PAssionArts Festival 2025 carried the heartwarming theme “Our Neighbourhood Gems”, celebrating the little things that make our community special. Admiralty residents came together on 27 September 2025 to celebrate in true neighbourhood style, and the highlight was nothing short of spectacular.

A 3-Metre Porcelain Vase of Flowers, Made by the Community
At the heart of the Admiralty celebrations stood a stunning 3-metre-tall porcelain-inspired vase, beautifully decorated with handcrafted flowers. Drawing inspiration from classic blue-and-white porcelain, the vase symbolised timeless culture, while its blossoming surface of flowers represented renewal, reunion, and the Mid-Autumn spirit.
What made it even more special? Every single flower was created and placed by residents themselves, young and old alike. Through workshops and a festival booth, neighbours crafted simple yet meaningful paper flowers, adding them to the vase to complete this living artwork. Each contribution became a piece of a larger story: a true Neighbourhood Gem!

The installation was led by artist Barry Yeow together with the Admiralty Community Arts & Culture Club. Families and friends not only enjoyed creating their flowers but also found joy in connecting with one another, making memories, and celebrating Mid-Autumn in a hands-on way. For many, the process of crafting was just as meaningful as seeing the vase come alive.
Beyond the vase, residents also got creative with origami flower-making, colouring activities, and henna artistry. These activities added to the lively atmosphere, bringing neighbours closer through art, fun, and shared tradition.

Admiralty wasn’t the only neighbourhood buzzing with festive vibes. From Kampong Glam to other parts of Singapore, communities also came alive with PAssionArts Mid-Autumn celebrations, featuring cultural performances, craft booths, and plenty of family-friendly fun.
