Angelababy For Real?

Hi Huneybees,

I did a movie review recently for Love In Space 2011 and when I was watching, I was exclaiming how pretty Angelababy is and how big her eyes are to Joey (who was sitting next to me). So when I came home, I did a little research on her.

Actually, when I first heard of her was on a TVB variety programe called <<荃加福祿壽>> where 王祖藍 plays a character called Handelababy, an impersonation of Angelababy herself.

A little about Angelababy herself...

Angela Yeung Wing (born February 28, 1989), popularly known by her star name Angelababy, is a model and actress from Hong Kong. Her "star name" came from the combination of her legal given name "Angela" and her nickname her family gave her "Baby". 

Angelababy's career began when she was spotted by Style International Inc. at the age of 17 and entered the modeling industry that year (2007). She then featured as a dancer in Jay Chou's 《07-08世界巡迴演唱會香港站》 concert in Hong Kong. 

In 2009, Avex Group, Japan's biggest record label and talent agency, signed her a contract for activities in Japan.

Other than her movies, Angelababy has featured in a large number of catwalk appearances, Television shows and commercials throughout Asia. Also she acted in the MV of William Chan (singer) , her ex-boyfriend.
She also starred in the in the Japanese web drama Tweet Love Story in July 2010. The basis of the drama is audience participation via Twitter; four of the scenes contain a missing line spoken by Angelababy that are later completed from selected viewer tweets with the hash tag #tweetlovestory.                        ----- Wikipedia

Multi faces of her, makes her being one of the highest rated celebrity in Hong Kong. But did you guys know how she looked like when she was young? Show ya....

See the drastic change? That's why everyone's been saying that she underwent the knife, what you guys think? I believe she did some touch up and then the rest was left to improvement of camwhore/ photography angles, makeup and photoshop?

Being quarter German, I guess she already has some of the ang-moh-ness in her, all she had to do was to "enhance" a little to get to this today.

What you guys think? Is she for real or enhanced? :)

[Movie Review] Love In Space 2011

Last night I was invited by OMY.sg to the preview of Love In Space 2011 <<全球热恋>>. From the poster, you guys can see, it's a movie with star studded cast and it is a sequel to last year's romantic comedy, Hot Summer Days <<全城热恋>>, which has Rene Liu and Angelababy starring in it too.

But it's OK if you did not watch that last year, because Love In Space 2011 is nothing related, except for the topic of L.O.V.E.

I know the title can be pretty misleading but it's definitely not a movie about aliens falling in love. In fact it's a romantic comedy that follows a mother and her 3 daughters as they go through their love stories. The movie is set in 3 different places, Sydney, Beijing and even the Moon (where the 'Space' in the title comes from)!

The eldest daughter played by Rene Liu is up in space with her ex Aaron Kwok. Both successful astronauts, stubborn and have very different opinions, can't seem to shake the issue of their breakup and continued their love story in the space shuttle that they were assigned to. 

But just a question: why is it that the space shuttle is so big, there's only just the 2 of them to take care of the shuttle?

Second daughter Lily (Kwai Lun Mei) who lives in Sydney has OCD - Phobia of being dirty, paradoxically falls in love with a disheveled garbage collector (Eason Chen). Can you guess if it will be happy ending for them?

The youngest daughter, Huang Mu Dan (Angelababy) got most of the male audience sitting at the edge of their seats. Her beauty was so attractive, so how can Wen Feng (Jing Boran) escape from her clutches?! She plays an actress who went to work as a waitress to get into the role of her new film, falls in love with a guys who works as a waiter by day and moonlights as a watermelon peddler by night. What will happen when he finds out that she's been lying all the while?

I must say the movie reminds me heavily of the movie "Love Actually". This would be like the Asian version of it. I love how they injected tons of laughing points in the movie, but it's kinda pity to see super star actor and actress, Aaron Kwok and Rene Liu, just acting silly in the movie. Their acting skills were not put to a test and there was no breaking point.

Whereas I thought Eason Chen caught my attention. He stand out a lot with his acting and also the accent when he spoke in English, I would dare say he was the male lead of the movie, rather than Aaron Kwok. Aaron and Rene were like just put in the movie to boosts ticket sales.

I'm giving the movie a 3.5 out of 5 popcorns review. It would have been a 4 if not for the little slip-ups in the movie making. There was some minor mistakes like wrong axis of characters when cutting scenes and missing props in certain scenes. ( Hehe! Guess my studying about film making made me more attentive to details).

Love In Space is so light-hearted, I would recommend you guys to watch it after a hard day's work, watch it with friends or just bring a lover along for some hugs and kisses while watching? :X

I shall end with the remake version of Teresa Tang's <<月亮代表我的心>>, sang by the cast of the movie... =)
