Staining My Lips With The New Peripera Peri's Ink Moist

Hi Huneybees,

Nothing beats a weekend break across the border to Johor Bahru. All I can say is that Singapore is too slow when it comes to stocking up for beauty brands and products. Do you know they already have a standing 3CE store in Komtar JBCC instead of the little counters at SEPHORA?!

Tsk tsk tsk, talk about efficiency. Even their Watsons has Physicians Formula, the MediHeal x LINE Friends Ampoule Masks and even their Korea Beauty sections were up to date! That's where I managed to get the PeriPera Peri's INK set!

Coming in a super bright and chirpy yellow tin box are 5 miniatures of Peri's Ink Moist. These are updates from their previous Peri's Ink and as shown in by their packaging, the latest one is a moisture liquid tint, compared to the previous jelly tint, that might have been said to be a little too drying.

Still coming in that for-show-only dropper bottle, the mini bottles does make it less bulky to bring around and it is still easy to apply even though the paddle applicator is shorter than the original size.

These lip stains glide on with a moist finish and stay put even after drinking and eating through the night. So your lips won't feel naked and you don't have to keep going to touch up your lips. It's like I have a lip colour for everyday and here's the swatches...

Aren't they just lovely shades? See after I wipe them off with tissue, the colours are still there with #4 Bang Rose being the long-standing one.

Giving The ASUS ZenFone MAX A Test Run

It's been a couple of weeks' experience with the ASUS Zenfone MAX and as shown previously, it is an impressive phone that comes with great battery capacity. So I brought it with me on my day trip to Johor Bahru, Malaysia to 'document' my experience.

As like all overseas trip, I love taking pictures while on the move. That's why the camera function is the most important aspect of a phone when I'm getting one.

There are alot of modes to play with and combined with the 13MP rear camera with dual tone flash and laser autofocus, I can take sharp high resolution photos while hubby drives along the road. I don't even have to miss a moment. All it takes is a split second to focus and snap!

See these photos above and below. When I've zoomed in 7 times to enlarge, I can still see the details clearly! Even when birds fly by, there's no sign of motion blur at all. I'm definitely ASUS-converted. =X

Of course, with all these constant photo snapping and having the phone's screen turned on all the time, battery will get drained off very fast. Having to lug a heavy duty portable charger whilst you shop, might seem to be too much a burden on your shoulders.

This is definitely the moment you are glad you have the Zenfone MAX. With a massive 5,000mAh battery, the phone easily lasted me through the day and I could still "share" my battery life and use it to charge my hubby's phone, using the OTG wire provided. See how easy it is done below...

Just one down side though. Due to the high battery capacity, it does take a much longer to charge the phone to full capacity with the provided charger. It normally takes me up to 5 hours to get it fully charged. But I'm fine with it, since the Zenfone MAX tends to last me about 1.5 to 2 days.

I'm loving the ASUS Zenfone MAX and I'll recommend this to those who likes to be on-the-go and have one device to do everything for you. You can get great photos to boast about and post on your social media apps, whilst getting most of your job done, checking emails, taking notes, sending messages and receiving calls.

Can Ex-es Really Work Together?

Power 98 launched a new radio show yesterday starring DJ Mister Young and Jacqui, who were ex-lovers. Imagine working with your ex-romance of 5 years on the evening drive time show, there will sure be a lot of sarcasm and bitch slaps on air, and hopefully sweet moments and laughter too.

Radio has been a big part of my life since my schooling days and what I love about Power 98 is that they play songs from the 90s till today.

The Ex-Factor is the first radio show of it’s kind in Singapore. Tune in to Power 98FM on weekdays, 5pm to 8pm and listen to Mister Young and Jacqui attempting to host the prime time programme without trying to pull each other’s hair and head off. Honestly, the programme director must have gone mad to put two ex-es together on the evening show.

“It’s must hear radio as the chemistry is definitely there but so is the drama! I think it’ll be interesting because we can’t bullsh*t with each other. It will be us at our most raw and unfiltered,” quips Mister Young. “This is definitely a show where sparks will fly!’

Last week, we were invited for a preview of the show and a studio recording with Mister Young and Jacqui. Mister Young currently wears two hats at Power 98, one as a DJ and the other as the Assistant Programme Director. Jacqui has been in the entertainment industry since 2006. Started out with a one-week stint on radio as Ms Personality from The New Paper New Face Contest, and moved on to host 987FM’s flagship show ‘Say It With Music’.

That afternoon, we had an “intimate session” with the DJs, started off playing some games followed by questions and answers about everyone’s relationship(s) and ex-es. I’m looking forward to this new evening show, definitely going to be a juicy, no-holds-barred show that will rock the airwaves of our island!

The DJs will also be acting out special characters on air, such as Bee Geok and Geok Bee, like most of us, they LOVE good bargains, good food, long queues (?!!) and are very ‘well-travelled’ (track record: Johor Bahru, Genting, Tioman, Malacca, Batam…)

The Ex-Factor premieres on 10 June 2013, weekdays 5-8pm only on Power 98FM. Live streaming available at www.power98.com.sg

I was recently invited as a media to Legoland right before it opens the next day! It was a great theme park, not only did I have fun, I relived my childhood days of playing with LEGOs! I took a super lot of photos and it takes me forever to edit. Wahahahaha! Up till today I am still super excited and I seriously think you guys should go there at least once!

Here's my little about LEGOLAND and preview of the theme park. I will be uploading more photos as I edit, but nothing is like the experience itself! Spot all the little LEGO characters everywhere!

When I arrived at LEGOLAND, the burst of bright colours shocked me and woke me up from my slight sleepy stupor. The first thing we did was heading over to the Market Restaurant to meet up with the organisers and we had a chat session with Mr Siegfried Boerst (General manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia), Mr John Jakonsen (Managing Diretor of LEGOLAND Parks, Merlin Entertainment) and Mr Muhammad Zainal Ashikin b. Muhammad Rejab (Chief Development Officer of Themed Attractions & Resorts Sdn. Bhd.).

After some food and interviews (which I will feature in the next blog post), we were treated to a performance by the Billund Marching Band which only performed for the opening day. Oh! So privileged!

The band presented a LEGO band to Mr Siegfried Boerst and Mr John Jakonsen. Super adorable!!!

Off we go explore LEGOLAND! It's huge, so be prepared to some hours there. I would say go right in the morning and stay till closing! Wahahahaha!

Maps are everywhere in the Park, as well as super friendly LEGOLAND staffs. You will never get lost.

First LEGOLAND Park in Asia Reveals 76 Acres of Theme Park Fun!
