I'm having a such a K-wave headache these days. Everywhere I go, every turn I take, K-pop music is playing. It's kinda not so fun when you shop with music that you don't understand eh?

I agree that the K-pop singers are adorable handsome and pretty but this foreign language and its wave is getting on my nerves. Though the songs are catchy and dance-y, half the time I don't understand what they are singing, so I was like "OK! Enough of K-pop! It's time to go back to my roots!"

And that was when I was horrified by the Mandopop scene! Starting with my favourite idol - Show Luo 羅志祥, everyone has been saying that his image in the MV of 愛投羅網 is copying the likes of popular K-pop singer of G Dragon of Big Bang. Not just him, there's more!

Will Pan 潘瑋柏 is looking more and more like Taeyang and even the always known as the sweet, pretty face singer Cyndi Wang 王心凌 is now looking sexier, a little too much resemblance to Hyuna?! Even her latest MV - Baby Boy, was a tad too much like Hyuna's Bubble Pop/Ice Cream?

ARGHH!!! Luckily, there are still those that stuck to their own style, with displaying their vocals as the main target. These are some of the new song releases in the recent few months and one of my favourite has got to be Miss Ko and Khalil Fong 方大同. Their songs are so original and they have both brought in some of their Western influence into their songs. I find that is then the right amount of cross culture and not total copying!
So, well here's leaving you with some my recommendations, including our local pride - Stefanie Sun Yan Zi 孙燕姿 and Kelly Poon Jiali 潘嘉丽, check out those legs of Kelly! Hope you guys like the songs and if you have another more to recommend, do comment!

27 February 2013 - Shoppers along Orchard Road were treated to a tiny surprise as they walked pass Wisma Atria Shopping Mall that evening.

Hwang Min-Woo, better known as “Little PSY”, made his Singapore debut by performing several dance routines outside LG’s G Café pop up store infront of Wisma Atria Atrium, to the delight of hundreds fans.

The talented nine year-old was best known for appearing alongside Korean rapper, PSY, in the viral hit music video, ‘Gangnam Style’.

“Little Psy” was in Singapore to kick off G Café, the retail and lifestyle concept store for the newly launched LG Optimus G smartphone. He performed his signature dance moves and upbeat choreography to ‘Gangnam Style’, ‘Fantastic Baby’, and an original track from his upcoming album, ‘Showtime’.

LG's G Café was set up to allow consumers to see and experience the unique features of Optimus G, the most feature-rich smartphones LG has produced to date.

The G Café comprises of three experience zones for consumers to learn more about the design, performance and user interface features. It is actually also a real café for consumers to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee from the popular Melbourne-style coffee brewers, The Plain.

LG Optimus G, the premium flagship smartphone that has been making waves in Korea, Japan, United States and Canada, was launched in Singapore on 31 January 2013. It was recently lauded with a Korea Electronic Show (KES) Innovation Award for its Zerogap Touch Technology. This improves the durability and clarity of the display by eliminating air gaps found in other touchscreens. In design, the Optimus G is awarded the iF Product Design Award 2013.

LG Optimus G retails for S$798 and is currently available in Singapore at Starhub, M1, Singtel and selected retail stores. The G Café is open on 23^rd February 2013 to 8^th March 2013 from 12pm to 9pm daily.

LG Mobile Singapore has also launched the “G Lounge” Application on their Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/LGMobileSingapore), where participants can experience Optimus G through technologically stimulating games. Players can stand the chance to win exciting prizes, including a brand new Optimus G.
