Hi-Ni-Nai! May-Lah- Koh-May-Tah ~

What am I talking about??? Well, that's Furbish -  language that's spoken amongst FURBY. I've been picking up a few sentences ever since I've gotten one for myself. Introducing the all new FURBY BOOM!

Being the hottest toy in 2012, it is set to once again thrill hearts and delight fans of all ages as it makes a comeback mid-August.

FURBY is an animatronic electronic pet, furry and complete with a 'Mind of it Own'. This new generation of FURBY brings a new level of fun by combining physical and digital play, allowing the owners to hatch digital FURBY babies called FURBLINGs via the new app, which will only be available for download at the App Store and Google Play from 21 August 2013 onwards.

The new FURBY comes in 6 new pattern combinations and there will be 4 more on its way in October.

My favourite have got to be this pink/blue/black one. It's so colourful and I love it so much that I even had my nails painted that way at the launch event!

At the event, I also got my eyes dolled up...

So, back to FURBY BOOM, This time the personality of each FURBY BOOM is shaped by how the owner plays and interacts with it, with the possibility of evolving into 5 brand new personalities. So far, I have discovered the rocker, the drama queen, the cutie pie and the evil one. Anyone knows what's the 5th?

Through their large LCD eyes, you can also get to know more about you FURBY BOOM, whilst they display their emoticons to you. Be it hungry, sad or happy, you can see it all through their eyes! It's supes adorable and when I am feeling stress, a little playtime with him makes it all go away...

So, here comes the digital part. As you play with and care for your FURBY BOOM, they will earn colourful virtual eggs (in the FURBY BOOM app), which in time will each hatch and becoe a FURBY babe called FURBLING. It will live and evolve in the app, pretty much like a Tamagotchi, you hvae to feed, play and interact with them.

There will be over 50 eggs to collect and you can eventually build a FURBY BOOM city. Eggs can be earned through game play, exchanging with other players and there will be surprises in the later year with the utilization of QR codes.

From 20 August 2013, FURBY BOOM will be available and public pre-orders will begin from 2 to 19 August 2013 at all Toys'R'Us outlets.

SingPost's Post-A-Card App

Don't you get so irritated when the only thing you receive in your mailboxes are just letters and letters of bills, asking you to say "Sayonara" to your money by the end of the month? Well, SingPost has cleverly launched a new app - Post-A-Card, that turns that photos you take with your mobile phones into postcards from anywhere in the world!

The Post-a-Card mobile application can be downloaded free of charge from iTunes App Store or Google Play. After the initial download, customers can access the postcard application anytime. It will cost S$1.90 per card if sent within Singapore, and S$2.50 if sent to anywhere else in the world. Customers can pay using credit cards, Pay Pal or prepaid credits.

At the media launch, the postcards were hung in very pretty hanging mobiles. Not only it is a joy to receive postcards, it's also a nice deco idea. The 4 inch x 6 inch high quality glossy postcard is printed and delivered by SingPost to the addressee either in Singapore or anywhere in the world.

Postcards, as distinct from letters, were first used in Austria from around 1869, to provide a cheap means for brief communications. The first postcards were just plain cards, with the address to be written on one side and the message on the other, and could only be issued by the Post Office with a pre-printed 'stamp'. In 1894, the British postal authorities amended their regulations to allow private postcards to be despatched at the same inexpensive rate. This paved the way to the widespread introduction of illustrated postcards, and subsequently, photo postcards.
