If you're looking for a reason to explore Singapore's CBD beyond the usual lunch spots and office towers, Momentary Pulses is well worth adding to your weekend plans.
Presented by The Everyday Museum, Singapore Art Museum's public art initiative, this free outdoor art trail transforms everyday spaces into unexpected encounters with contemporary art. Stretching across linkways, plazas and MRT passages, seven site-specific installations by Singapore-based artists invite you to pause, look a little closer, and experience the city from a fresh perspective.
The first phase features works by Song-Ming Ang, Finbarr Fallon, Catherine Hu, Zul Mahmod, and the collaborative duo Teow Yue Han and Federico Ruberto. Visitors can discover the installations while exploring familiar CBD locations such as OUE Link (Raffles Place), One Raffles Quay, Asia Square, Shenton House and Tanjong Pagar MRT. Expect a mix of sound, movement, sculpture, AI and interactive elements that reveal the hidden rhythms, histories and invisible energy flowing through Singapore's financial district.
Two additional installations by Yang Jie and Immanuel Koh will join the trail later in 2026, expanding the experience even further.
To celebrate the launch, Story Scape will also run from 30 January to 8 February 2026 in collaboration with StoryFest. The festival will complement the trail with storytelling performances, artist talks and a special evening audiovisual experience at RASA Space, offering even more ways to experience the stories behind the artworks.
Whether you're an art lover or simply looking for a different way to explore the city, Momentary Pulses is a reminder that some of Singapore's most meaningful artistic experiences can be found not inside a gallery, but woven into the places we pass by every day.
